************ should Be out of business. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. A couple of months ago I called this company for A quote. The customer service *** was awesome and gave me a quote for 4 guys and a truck. Pricing was affordable however on the day of the move 3 guys turned up. They started the dismantling and packing without much wrapping of items. Took lots of bathroom breaks. That was not the worst thing but by the time we arrived at the new location for drop off my issues began because now I have to Pay before they unload. Deepah, the manager, called me to let me know the amount. This was way higher than the original amount but after some calls back And forth she removed the 4th guy from the invoice. Now of course there is a rush to unload and set up my furniture. 1. My daughters bed was set up With missing screws 2 my bed was set up with missing screws 3 my couch mattress and rugs were all Dirty 4 one of the workers dropped the couch onto the marble top coffee table cracking it I have emailed and called ************ on numerous occasions Trying to get my claim for the broken coffee table processed with no luck. Deepah is one of the most horrible people I have ever spoken to. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST. THEY R SCAMMERS AND THEY HOLD UR FURNITURE AT ****** IF U DONT PAY UP AFTER THEY TRIPLE THE PRICE THEY QUOTE YOU ON.I first looked into Tri state movers on an online search and soon they began calling me multiple times a week. Particularly this man name ***** He gave an amazing quote of $645 since my move was only across the street. 40 feet at max. And its only one bedroom. Both buildings has elevator requiring less work.On day of move they came 4 hours late due to traffic and had no moving Dolly. Luckily I had two dolly which I provided . Instead of 3-4 movers only 2 came in a budget truck. Both ******* and ******* got to work. Both very nice guys. After loading the truck they drove across the street 40 feet and thats when the scamming began from Tri state. I get a call from a an Indian lady name Dippty (manager) stating that my new total was $1700 instead of the $645 quoted prior. I pleaded with this women that this is 3x the price quoted however she would not listen. Then threatened to hold my Furniture in their warehouse if I didnt Zelle the full amount. They would not unload the furniture unless the bill cleared. I eventually had to pay over $1500 plus tips for a move that was simply across the street and initially quoted $645. Dipptys reason for almost triple the price was because it was more item moved and it took them longer time to move. Both false. They came hella late and had no moving equipment. More importantly movers already had items in the truck prior to mine.Tri state, Dippty and **** r criminals and fraud. KEEP AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. THEY HIRE MOVERS FROM AN AGENCY SO THEY WILL UP CHARGE SIGNIFICANTLY AND MAKE EXCUSES

If I could give this moving company zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and use ANY other company. Our experience with this company was a disaster from start to finish. They broke their contract, showed up 5 hours late, and failed to provide the correct equipmentdespite multiple prior calls and clear instructions. We specifically requested a truck with a lift gate and a lift **** due to the weight of two toolboxes (each over 600 lbs). They showed up in a budget rental truck without any of the necessary equipmentno lift gate, no dolly, no moving blankets. The movers insisted they could handle the toolboxes without the right gear and, unsurprisingly, ended up scratching them in the process. After hours of delays and frustration, I had no choice but to call another moving company. Piece of Cake Moving arrived the next day, fully equipped with a lift gate and a small crew, and moved the toolboxes without a hitch. Not only was the original company unprofessional and completely unprepared, but their customer service was rude and contradictory. One minute they told me they couldnt move my toolboxes because the lift gate couldnt handle the weight, then in the next breath, they promised they could come back in two days and do it. Which is it?To make matters worse, when I tried to cancel due to their incompetence, they threatened to put a lien on my property! Ive never encountered a company this unprofessional and unethical. They broke the contract by failing to show up on time and without the agreed-upon equipment, yet they still had the audacity to issue legal ************ yourself the headache and wasted time. Use literally any other moving companythis one is absolutely not worth the stress.

Tri-State Area Movers has many strategies to move things starting with one spot then onto the next. There is a major crate like truck, beds with Angular bars on the sides. They load them up quick and full. We generally have a few weighty things with loads in them however they handle them like they don't weigh anything by any stretch of the imagination. These movers were VERY STRONG and handled everything carefully.

It was a magnificent moving experience from begin to end. There was positively no question which movers we needed to utilize. The movers was so coordinated, SMOOTH and QUICK. There were two separate extra rooms on the first floor and the second floor however both overflow loaded with boxes and furniture and things previously stuffed quite well. Enthusiastically recommended.

We had an extraordinary experience with Tri-State Area Movers. They showed up on time. Fantastic, PRODUCTIVE and PROFICIENT movers. Extremely educated work force both in the workplace and in the place of work. They were fast, amiable and cautious. I would utilize them once more.

Scammers, thieves and Shylocks. Only take cash or certified check for payment. Went that morning to withdraw cash for payment and hid it in a dresser that was not being moved. When they got there late they told me my stuff wasnt going to fit or I was going to be over but they would work with me. After watching a ******* and his two very inexperienced guys for hours they finally said they were finishing up. Went to get the cash and 6 $100 bills were missing. I never keep cash in my house but they requested cash (they dont give you a real total so certified check is near impossible with bank hours and their snail pace). I was accused of trying to not pay my bill by the foremans supervisor via speaker phone. They asked me if my husband, who has stage 4 brain cancer, if he took it. Asked me why I kept my money in a drawer. Asked me how come I didnt search 3 grown mens pockets!! Then they tell me my total is 3300. My quote was for 1800. So now everything Im moving with is being held hostage until I give them money. Then was told by the account supervisor L!^da a full investigation would be opened and I would be asked to take a lie detector test. No problem bring it on. Now its been 5 days since they left and they cant give me a delivery date. No investigation and now they are not answering my calls. I made a police report on the theft of cash and am impatiently waiting for a call back from anyone. Do not ever use this company. They scammed 2 disabled people. Theyd probably scam their grandmothers.

Scammers, liars, crooks, unprofessional, unethical, and extortionists are just a few names for this company and staff. Received a quote to move 1 bedroom size of already packaged boxes, dismantled toddler bed, wine table, piano and car for $2800. They were scheduled to arrive between 8:30am -10:30am, they showed up at 5:15pm in a budget rental truck. They said they came from another job but the truck was empty. They screwed up the car transport the same day of scheduled pickup and tried to charge me an additional $385 to my original $900 quote to tow the car to their lot. Based on how they loaded my boxed items and issues with their car transport, I didn't feel comfortable with them moving my piano and cancelled that service with them. So now it's just the 12 prepackaged boxes, dismantled toddler bed, and wine table in my garage ready to go. I advised the ******* to provide me with the exact quote of my items before being placed on the truck. He did not and said once they are on the truck, the office will call me with a price. Again, I emphasized I will not pay over what I was originally quoted minus the car and piano. The ******* agreed and proceeded to load my items into the truck. His crew closed the doors and the extortion began. So now without the car and piano and only just the boxes and couple items mentioned, the new quote ballooned to $4200. I refused. Now the extortion continues to $3400. I refuse. They now proceed to tell me if I want my items back, I have to pay them $1000. I refused. They threatened to take my items back to their lot if I didn't pay them. I told whomever I was on the phone with that they will have to take me to court for the $1000 they are robbing me of without an itemized invoice of their multiple erroneous charges. A direct call from their office was made to the ******* to drop all my items on the sidewalk. They removed everything from the truck in 20 mins and took off. DO NOT USE THEM. BE WARNED!
