  Came down our driveway and offered to clean it up with some gravel. Absolute scam. Told my husband 1.5$ a square foot. Then came back with 7200$ “worth of work”. Dropped it to 6500$, then 5000$, then 4500$. After they took their check and left. My husband measured the driveway and it should have only been 1,500-2,000. Gentleman won’t answer his phone and claimed he sent us receipts which he never sent.

  SCAMMER WARNING………………Andrew K**** & Michael R*****, the A&M in the name are liars. Nothing but a team of con men, preying on trusting, unsuspecting homeowners. Like many others on here with similar experiences, this was nothing more than a driveway rip off scam. Steer far away from them. They lie about the measurements & then intimidate you into paying them. They never return calls, and if they do, they promise to make everything right, but you’ll never see or hear from them again! Do yourself a favor DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

  I would not even give this a single star if I didn't have to. Negative stars actually! On August 2, 2023 a truck with A&M paving and stone sticker pulled over while I was mowing my lawn asking if I was interested in millings so I had them speak to my husband. We did need some for our driveway and they agreed on $0.80 sq ft and he would come back tomorrow to roll it out which he never did. Unfortunately we did not have any checks on hand and stupidly paid cash. He tried to get us to pay $5,600 but ultimately came down to $4,200. After they left and he never came back to roll the driveway like he said he would, we believed we were scammed and measured the driveway ourselves. Sure enough, even with a little extra calculation we only have a 1500 sq ft space that they filled which would bring the total to: $1,200.00. I just called them and asked to speak to the owner. The guy answering the phone indicated he was not the owner but that Bob was one of the guys at my house and then later in the conversation indicated he was in fact the owner and I can try to take him to court. He claimed initially he didn't know who I was. He called themselves gypsies and indicated I'm to blame because I paid cash. He initially indicated if I wasn't happy with the job we wouldn't have to pay for it. Then he said the cost is for thickness which he believes was 2". If that were the case, the cost would be cubic feet not sq. feet. He just kept lying and lying on the phone call and worse, screaming at me even though all I was doing was trying to talk to resolve the issue. There was no apology given or that he would try to make it right. He acted as though he could care less if what I thought. These people are scammers and take advantage of people. I believe one of their names was Andrew. Beware residents of Westerlo, NY and surrounding areas! I will be pursuing this further for a refund.

  From our experience with him, this man is a liar and a fraud. Stay away from A & M Paving and Stone. He came to us seeing my elderly husband out by the driveway and said he had some millings to unload from a previous job. He would lay it 3 inches thick and pack it. He proceeded to charge us for twice the square footage that was laid. The work is substandard and not at all what Kelly said it would be. After a call from our attorney who looked into his background, Kelly returned half our money. The remaining payment was much more than the job was worth.

  I’m a very big procrastinator and if Mr. K**** wouldn’t of stopped the day he did I probably would’ve never got my driveway done, I’ve needed it done for years- yes the approach was a little off but the work the quality and the crew made out for all of it, a team of great hard-working men!!

  The approach was a little different, but upon speaking to these gentlemen, and allowing them to do my driveway, I met a new friend and I was also very pleased, they also just did my mother-in-law’s house came out beautiful!

  Beware of Paving Scammers, Working as a Team: Hicks Paving & A&M Paving & Stone. 11/4/22 This crew stopped at my place and said how they could patch my driveway for a great price, they had leftover millings from job down the road. They will put down 3"before compaction for $1.50 a sq.ft. They had a dump truck holding 15 ton Of Millings that cost $2-3 hundred and covers 810 sq.ft. at 3". Mr Kelly(A&M paving) after 2 -3 hours of work now Measures saying it was 4850 sq.ft and I owe him $7275, I said No way that is possible, we argued & I ended up paying 5000 in cash from the pressure he put on me at the moment. Then the next day I called Mr Kelly to give him the facts: First he made like he didn't know me , (after giving him 5000.00) cash. I told him lied about the footage, and he Did Not put 3" down and want to be reimbursed some. He said he be over the following week to make it right!!! He never called or came! Doesn't answer my calls. I'm sure he has NO intentions to repay me the 3000.00 I feel I overpaid. I tried to file papers against Mr. Andrew Kelly in Small Claims Court but could not. The Address on my receipt was fraudulent Mr Kelly does not reside 218 Greylock Ave. Niskayuna (Schenectady)12304

  We were verbally told the work was only going to be $2,000.00 and when finished they charged us $9,000.00. They guaranteed work and my husband and I called a total of ten times to come out and fix the job and they never showed up. They keep telling us a lie. I wrote a letter to them and it was returned saying no forward address.

  The job was not done to my expectations. I contacted them several times and was told they would be back. They did not return. The work was shoddy, the cost was high in my opinion.
