I bought win 4 lottery tickets last weekend that will cover for the period May 26th thru May 29th - both day and evening valid tickets. I played the number ****, both straight and boxed - 5 tickets straight and boxed each day for 4 days. On Friday evening, **** was the number that came out. That meant I am eligible to win $1000. I could only cash in $600.00 on Saturday, May 27th because the liquor store did not have extra money to give me. I tried again on Sunday, May 28th to again try to cash my ticket, but did not put the two remaining tickets through their machine. Again , the liquor store did not have to cash on hand to pay me. I came in for a third time today, Monday, May 29th at approximately 2:15 PM to try again to cash in my remaining two winning tickets. They claimed they had the money but when I made them put the two tickets in their machine, thet=y said the tickets were not valid. That is utter nonsense. They deliberately rigged the machine to not pay me the remaining $400.00. I have been a long time liquor customer and a long time lottery player at this liquor store for many years. No one who was there today had any compassion for my loss. I was very upset and had a right to be. The wife of one of the workers there raised her finger at me and told me to leave. What a disgrace!!! This is the thanks I get for many years of being a loyal customer. This woman was a tyrant and should not be allowed to deal with the public whatsoever. Thid store should not only lose their lottery license but their liquor license for being crooks!!!! They deserve to be shut down and if this does not happen I will get legal counsel to make sure it does happen!!

All that **************** said was true except the part where he said the message on the lottery screen said, "not valid" . The message that came across on the lottery machine said results pending. Why it said this I do not know. I told him what the lottery machine read and handed him back the tickets.

So now he has back his tickets. I said I would call the lottery department for him or he can call them. At this point he said I owe him $400 and left.

The lottery machine is very simple. You take the ticket from the customer, run it through machine and if it says pay customer we will. He knows this. I have cashed many tickets for him. I cash the tickets as a courtesy for my customers. I do not have to cash the winning tickets. **************** has the two tickets. He can take them to another agent to be cashed and if the same message comes up he should call the lottery department.

When **************** left my store, he had his two "winning" tickets. I hope that he got them cashed or straightened it out with the lottery personal.

I called the lottery department and told them what happened, and they searched the data base. There was no record of **************** calling them and issuing a complaint.
