I sent the hair dryer in for a warranty claim, the dryer never worked right from the start. I had forgot to clean the lint out prior to sending it back. I was told because it had lint, the warranty is voided and they wont send the dryer back to me that I paid for. The lint had been routinely cleaned out and it never made a difference, the dryer still malfunctioned. Now, after paying a lot of money for a dryer, Im left with nothing. This is complete nonsense and garbage. I will fight this until its made right.Business Response

Our policy states that we do not cover clogged filters. The clients filter was received, inspected, and it was clogged which we documented and sent to the client.
As a courtesy, we have gone ahead and issued a replacement.

I purchased a blow dryer about a year ago for ****** it came with a 10 year warranty all of a sudden it was only blowing cold air. I contacted the company. The lady talked me through a few steps to try to fix the problem. She said didnt know what the problem was and that I should mail it back to them so I did. I got a email today saying the blow dryer had a clog and that that was not covered under my 10 year warranty and they will not sending me my blow dryer back.If they cant fix my blow dryer, I could take it elsewhere and get it looked at. They are not standing behind their 10 year warranty. Never was I advised on the phone that I would not get my blow dryer back. The lady also had no idea what was wrong with it and advised me to mail it in that cost $24 for shipping so today they are offering me 30% to buy another one. Im not doing that. I want my dryer back. The dryer filter was clogged and we state very clearly that this is not covered in our warranty policy. We provide cleaning and maintenance instructions in a manual included with the dryer along with a cleaning tool. The dryer must be cleaned regularly via manual and auto cleaning functions. Our policy is available to view on our website at anytime. We offer a 10 year warranty on the motor. I purchased a bio ionic hair straightener on August 7, 2024. The original order number was ORDER #********. I reached out to customer service in September after my flat iron stopped working. I paid to send it back for a warranty claim, which was approved. I had a replacement order email and then not receiving the item. I went back to look at it and it shows now the order for the replacement was canceled. I reached out to customer service again, who said it would ship on October 21 when it was back in stock and it has not shipped and I am not getting a response from customer service now. The replacement order that was canceled is order ********. I have asked for a refund as I now have no straightener for over a month and had to purchase a new one from another brand.Customer Answer

I purchased the bio smart X hairdryer last January 2024 because the hair dryer had 10 year warranty after one month this hair dryer had delayed start and it was turning on by itself after a month of using this hairdryer. I returned it to the store, they mentioned they were having a lot of complaints with this particular hairdryer I Exchanged it for another hairdryer and The new hairdryer had a delayed start. Also, this time it was a longer delayed start. Its hard to have a hairdryer that it takes 30 seconds to turn on every time you use the switch the hairdryer started tuning on again . I sent it in because I took out the warranty and the company claims its a clogged vent. Ive been doing here for 30 years and always made sure my hair dryers were clean. I had the first hair for 30 days and the same thing happened. It takes several months for a hairdryer vent to get clogged Before I returned my hair dryer to get looked at from the warranty company. My hairdryer was clean and the vent was spotless. The company sent me a picture of a dirty old hairdryer vent. They refused to replace repair or exchange it or send me back my my original hairdryer. Both hair dryers had the same issues . Let me mention the first one was used less then a month . So it was not a clogged vent . If a hair dryer vent gets clogged, it ***** out of hairdryer, and it will not start. My hairdryer was starting. It was just a delayed start. The problem was not that it was clogged. The problem was in the switch. A clogged vent does not make a hair dryer turn in by itself . The hair dryer could of burned down my hair salon, if I got forbid, forgot to unplug it before I left for the night because there have been times I left for lunch and came back into my hair salon, and my hair dryer was running again. The problem was in the switch, not in a clogged hair event.Business Response

If your dryer shows a slight start-up delay and the 3 blue lights flash a few times before it begins running, this is not a defect. It's actually the auto-clean function activating, which is explained in the user manual.
Please see the attached snapshot from the manual for reference.
To manually activate the auto-clean function and resolve the issue:
Make sure the dryer is plugged in with the power switch in the OFF position.
Press and hold the #1 speed setting for about 10 seconds until the auto-clean engages and the dryer reverses airflow.
Once the cleaning cycle finishes, the dryer should operate as normal.As we have previously explained, the dryer was malfunctioning due to a clogged filters which activated the protection mode. This is not covered by our limited warranty. Each dryer has a manual included and it has instructions on product use and maintenance. While we could not replace the dryer, we did offer a discount code to use on our website.

Both of the hair dryers I purchased had a defect in the on off switch . The original hair dryer I had for a Month before I returned it to Salon Centric. this dryer was not used enough for a filter to be clogged. My second Hairdryer had a much longer delay in starting . BOTH hair dryers turned on by themselves which is a fire hazard to my building . This is when I spent ***** to ship my hairdryer to the warranty company and they refuse to fix or replace my Bio Ionic hair dryer . This dryer is less then a year old. my first dryer was a month old. I had hair dryers last several years being a stylist for 30 years know the importance of cleaning filers. Never had one that would turn on while not in use. I could not take the chance of this hair dryer staring while I was not at my salon.

On 9/5/23 I purchased a PowerLight Pro-Dryer from my salon hair stylist. She said this was a great high end hair dryer. It was about $400. Then in December I noticed it smelled smoky while drying my hair sometimes. I kept using it because it wasn't awful and it still worked perfectly. I told my hair dresser and she said the Bio Ionic company had a great warranty policy. In April 2024 I called the customer service line and told the representative what was happening. She said to mail it back with my receipt in the box. I did just that. I paid out of pocket to ship it back, I think about $25 to ship. She said they would either replace it or fix it. It still worked all this time, but I was afraid it might stop working plus it did smell slightly like smoke sometimes. On April 11th I got an email stating, my hair dryer had a clog, and they wouldn't be returning it. (As you can see below)Thank you for your patience while our service center team reviewed your warranty claim. Upon inspection, your product does not fit the requirements of our warranty policy, so your claim has been denied for the following reason:Dryer filter blocked or clogged (not covered by warranty)Please be aware that, in accordance with our policy and for safety reasons, we are unable to return inspected tools. I was shocked. I wrote back the customer service representative I talked to did not explain that they could potentially keep the dryer if it was clogged. Now I am out my expensive hair dryer and postage to ship back.They wrote back saying they would give me a 30% discount on another hair dryer, which is not acceptable. I mailed in a blow dryer I had bought from the company only a year prior for a warranty claim. After being told the issue wasnt covered under warranty, they refuse to send me my blow dryer back or issue me any type of refund. I purchased a long barrel curling iron1.5 in. On may 22. The iron didn't hold curl. So I decided to return .the # wa *********** PAID *****. I tried to return 5/22 and it went good until on their end I couldn't print label. So tried again and it said it was returned. I also called and they acted like there was trouble and they would get back to me. Didn't believe it. So 6/11 I tried the email again and it said it was returned. I purchased a Bio Ionic curling iron about a year ago and on Saturday 5/18/24 I was using the iron and it snapped in half and a spark of flame almost caught my hair on fire. I reached out to the company to let them know what happened and that I was hoping to seek a replacement, but I was told that it will only be replaced if I registered the product and it is within warranty. Their response was "i'm sorry your product is not working properly" and that was not what the issue was. The item broke and snapped in half mid use and sparked a flame from the wires and heat. I do not have proof of purchase, and I feel that a replacement is owed with the fire hazard that occurred regardless of date of purchase even though it is only about a year old and I do not have proof of purchase. It ripped a part of my hair out and was very close to catching on fire. This product is not very old and cost a lot of money and shows the quality and customer service is not to par and I think others should be aware of this issue. I received a curling iron for my birthday. I have not had it even a month and it has broken. I have called the number on file, and gotten into a chat room to not hear anything. It was a gift and no receipt was given and I have been trying to get in contact with someone to provide a resolution. The clasp now will not close due to a broken pin after using it normally on one side of my head.
