I bought a vehicle, 2015 ********** ****** from BA Auto from fb marketplace. I have all messages with the owner of the business Basel. Basel misrepresented this car and had agreed to do everything for the purchase for 5500 including registration, taxes, fees, and all.I went to the shop, test drove the vehicle and asked if there was anything wrong with the car on 01/30/24. While I was there, I was waiting to figure out my insurance, and waiting for the car to be inspected. I was told the vehicle was all set and just needed to finish paprwork. I left to finish getting insurance and messaged Basel to come back to get the car and this is when the lies, He told me that the inspection machine was broken and could not do it until 2/2 or 2/5. At this point I told him that the guy told me it was inspected already he said it wasn't and he couldn't do anything about it. After a few days, I finally picked up the car and signed and received what I thought was all the paperwork. On Friday, 2/9, Basel messaged me on ** and told me I needed to bring more payment for registration. I then told him no and researched the laws and the paperwork received. At this Point I have found multiple Federal and state violations and requested a refund Sunday morning, I told him that we agreed on 5500 and he had me sign paperwork that was not generated properly, he stated that I had to wait for inspection, found out it was done on 1/30 as I thought and he was lying but made me wait days and have to pay for ***** while he actually lost the title. The copy of the contract is missing the window form with all terms and charged me for inspection even though he stated it was free. He would not provide receipts of dmv charges, and keeps asking for more money even though he certified that he already collected all fees. He deceived me and did not provide a warranty disclosure and I requested a refund while telling him all of this is a violation of Fed Trade Comm - Used motor vehicle trade. he refused

The deal I made with him is only for the vehicle price and the 45 day registration and plates and dealer fee.  The customer thinks this includes the title and the 2 year registration.  I didn't charge any extra money for the new registration or the title because he refused to pay them and I didn't want to make any problems.  I have agreement Bill of Sale that says that $5,500 but does not say anything about registration or title because as a dealer we wouldn't be able to figure out how the DMV would charge the customer for the title and registration.  Some dealers charge $300 or more and then reverse afterwards but I don't do this.  The vehicle has a clean title and he tried to return the car for no reason and he call his bank for fraud and told them he returned the car but he didn't.  He came to our office and he tried to fight with us so I that why I didn't charge him because I didn't charge him because I didn't want problems.  As a NYS dealer we like our customer to be happy but you didn't help us to make you happy because you were yelling too much at us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  BA auto sales is lying, because the bill of sale does not add up correctly. Further the bill of sale and sale receipt confirm PER NEW YORK LAWS, that he collected all expected registration and title fees, however he is saying he does not do that. Also, I tried to return the vehicle and in my prior documents you can he refused to accept the vehicle.   Regards,  ****** *****
