I perched a quaker parrot about 2 weeks ago I was told it was a hand fed an hand raised bird an when I got him or her was skittish to be expected baby bird new place an people never seen before after a week of working with every time I get with in 5 feet or bird he takes off an Flys in to walls windows with curtain closed I talk to him all day trying to get it comfortable with new home I contacted them about hatch date was told beginning of May 2021 7 months old not a baby like promised talked to owner told me hatch date was wronge said alote of what I was told before got him was wronge owner said gona look in to it an get back to me never did an now almost 2 weeks sence I got him he told me to do a pocket trick put bird in a sweatshirt pocket an just pat him a couple times a day 30 mins at a time an after about 20 mins of trying to get him I didn't chase around I talked to him an walked over to him he flew in to a wall I got him talked to him whole time put in pocket an he opened wings tried to fly out of pocket I took out didn't want him to break wings an every time I get with in 5ft of him he takes off an Flys in to windows we it curtains closed walls even my TV 2 times I took to my vet because I noticed had a half inch Crack going down side of beck an she even said he's so afraid of hands he wasn't hand raised if was wouldn't be acting like he does when you move hand close to him an she evaluates rescued birds at aspca here in nh an I have been told by owner he was look in to it all an get back to me 5 days ago 4 emails no responce I called 3 times never got a answer just hung up on I'm on disability from military my wife saved for 8 months to get for me 1250.00 is what she paid I spent 375.00 on vet bill for the broken beck an have him evaluated if was hand raised wouldn't be so afraid of hands like he is an I'm so afraid of him killing himself or really hurting him self by flying in to everything when I get with in 5ft of him hadbirds 35 years not new to it
