March 28, 2022 I paid 752.54 for an interior paint job. The painter left old paint on the wall. They left command strips on the wall and painted over the strips. Also, the painter left a huge square on the ceiling where water damaged was repaired and painted. Painter, who stated he was the owner of the business, came to my home after I contacted him regarding the very poor quality of the paint job his company did in my home. On inspection of the work to be performed, prior to the work being done, I was notified that the painter would remove pictures etc from the wall before they painted. The painters removed the pictures and left the command strips on the wall and painted over the strips, leaving the wall with old color paint patches. The owner came out to assess what had been done. He stated, "Everyone else we painted for always wants nails and the strips left up". I constantly reiterated to him that the job was poor and the old paint could be seen. He agreed that the old paint was present .The Owner became very loud and angry. he began talking over me and telling me the job was done. I had to ask him to leave my home due to hostility.

Concerning the complaint on 4/19/22. The homeowner was asked by the painting crew if the wall hangings would be going back up. She told them they were. In that case, wall hangings..in her case the command strips were left. As far as the ceiling goes, that was the drywall repair that was done by someone else. We were only to paint over their work, which we did.

I don't accept the response from Mr. Stringer. When Mr. Stringer initially came to my home to give me an estimate to do the project I was told that the painters would remove pictures etc from the wall. Mr. Stringer sent painters over (he was no present). I never told the painters not to remove the command strips, which are for a one time use. It is obvious that the area the strips are would have old paint and not be the same color as the new paint. I would not want old patched areas of old paint on the wall. This defeats the purpose of paying for a fresh paint job. When I called Mr. Stringer to inform him of this issue the same day the job was performed, he told me he would come out to assess what I'm talking about. He came today almost a month later (after me calling several times) telling me, "They always leave the strips on because that's what clients want". This is the total opposite of me discussing with him if I needed to remove pictures etc... and him telling me the painters will perform all removals. Mr. Stringer and I also discussed the area on the ceiling when he came to my home to provide an estimate. I was told and quoted (included in the price) that the ceiling would be smoothed out and painted. The area was not smoothed and painted correctly leaving an obvious square on the ceiling. I informed Mr. Stringer right away after the painters left and was told it looks like that because the paint is wet.  I was told he would fix this area and I would not be able to tell there was a defect of the area when he came out to do the estimate. If I had been informed he could not fix this I would have used another company. The initial reason he was out to my home was to repair this area, the bathroom was an add on. Mr. Stringer response when he came out today was, "the area looks perfect". Mr. Stringer was not present when the work was being performed, he sent out workers who came to my home for 1.5 hours and rushed the job and did not perform what I paid for. The results from the work that was done defeats the purpose of getting my home painted and looks worse than what was there before. Theses are obvious things that can be seen very easily.

The customer accepted an estimate to have her bathroom walls and dining room ceiling painted. The dining room ceiling drywall had patch work done previously by another contractor. We were hired to paint only. When the crew came to paint the bathroom they were told by the customer that the command strips that were on the wall were to stay because she would be hanging what was there back up after the painting. When the painting was done the crew did a walk around with the customer and the customer approved the work. She did mention a "shadow" on the dining room ceiling to the crew at which time they explained that it was the lighting of the room and also the patch underneath. They were not there to do any drywall work or patch work. They were hired to paint only. After the crew left the customer removed the command strips on the bathroom wall taking the paint off the wall with them. She then called complaining that the crews had not removed the command strips and now that she did the paint had come off with them. Sean Stringer went to look at the bathroom walls and explained that she should had left them as she had said she was going to and that it could not be "touched up", the complete wall would need to be repainted and we could not do that without a charge because she had approved the work when the crew had finished and that she should not have removed the command strips. Mr. Stringer explained that the ceiling was painted correctly as hired to do and that it was the patchwork  done by the customer that was showing thru and no paint would completely hide that. The customer's daughter was there and became very very upset with Mr. Stringer arguing and yelling at him. At that time he decided to leave to avoid the argument.
