At the end of February, I was looking for a motor for my **** ********** and I was contacted by text from ***** whom he said was from ******* **** ***** on February 24th. He gave me all the information for purchasing a used motor and because I had been looking for a while, I told him I would get one from him. On February 25th I sent all the information requested also through text. So on March 1st I submitted 1800 to Woodhull Auto through my chime account and on March 4th I submitted the balance of 614.00 to Markel P through my chime account and 10 minutes later submitted 150.00 for my core through my chime account which he said would be returned to me after they receive it at their facility. My mechanic ******** auto received the motor and it was no good, he said it had been in the rain for at least 6 months and nothing on it was working. I sent the pictures to Robin and he said the billing team needs to talk to me. On March 7th Robin stated that another motor would be sent out and asked for my mechanic number which he never called. The last communication with him was on March 15th. I sent several messages and made numerous calls but nothing. The other salesperson also stop communicating with me after March 22nd. I finally got in touch with another guy named David and he told me to request my money back from Chime and then they will send me another motor, didn't understand that but I did anyhow. So I did a dispute with chme and after several weeks, my dispute was denied. I got in touch with the company again and was told to have my mechanic send the motor back to the address he was sending me and then I will receive a refund and I would be responsible for the $240 shipping cost. I don't have any more money to send or do anything with so I need your help.

    To Whom It May Concern,
    On March lst I was contacted by **** ******* to purchase a 5.4L engine for a ****
**********. The engine we had only had 110,000 miles on it, and it ran like a dream before
inventoried. The truck was one of our own personal employees at the time and the truck ran
and drove just fine when he brought it here. **** ******* had called, they gave the billing
information and shipping information over the phone and provided an email of
************************ to email a receipt too. On March 2nd, 2022, the engine was
shipped to *******'s Automotive in Eatonton, GA. On March 4th, 2022, the engine was delivered
    to *******'s Automotive via * * * ******** with a PRO # of **********. Our warranty is only 30-
day parts and we told them that via telephone when they purchased the engine. On April 2"d,
2022, we got an email from ****** which is our credit card company we use, stating that there
was a dispute filed saying the engine was never received and once again we still hadn't received
any type of communication or complaint from the customer or from the mechanic at *******'s
Automotive. When we reopened on Monday April 2nd, we immediately called *******'s because
like I stated the ****** dispute said they never received the goods, and we had the shipping
information saying it had been delivered a month prior. When we contacted the mechanic at
*******'s he said, yes, the engine is here, the only thing he had told **** was that it was a little
rusty which is normal coming from the state of NY. The mechanic had also stated to us that the
engine had not been put in the vehicle as **** was on vacation and he was waiting for them to
get back so they could see the engine themselves. Again, here it is April 4th) and the engine had
not been put in the vehicle so they could not have known if anything was working properly. We
were contacted by Mr. ******* on or around April 8th, a little fired up because our engine was
junk as he was stating, and he wanted his money back. We had explained that we were upset
because the dispute stated his goods were never received, when we knew that they were at
*******'s Automotive because we had spoken with the mechanic previously. Mr. ******* said he
never filed a dispute with his card stating the goods weren't received, we offered to send him a
refund once our engine was shipped back even though he was already outside our 30-day parts
warranty. We never received anymore communication from *******'s Automotive or the
Jackson's after or around April 8th. We have never received our engine back and our credit card
company took the money from us the day after the dispute was filed. Therefore, we are out the
$1,800 we received for the engine and still out the engine because it was never shipped back to
us. Also, as for the BBB letter we received with the complaint, we don't know who ******* ****
***** are, we don't know who ***** or **** are and we aren't sure why they were charged a
$614.00 fee or a $150.00 fee as we don't request cores back or charge for a core return.
******** **** was never involved in this transaction from the beginning, they aren't the ones
who reached out to me to order the engine, **** ******* was, and the only amount of money
we ever requested was $1,800.00 that included the engine and shipping to *******'s
Automotive. We would just like our $1,800.00 back at this point because we are sure our
engine is long gone or ruined and it is not fair to us to lose our goods and our money.
Also, at this point we were informed it was **** ******* that called us, but I am starting
to think with ****'s statement, that ******* **** ***** may be the culprit of money fraud
here. The $1,800 was taken from us but **** is stating he never received his money back
either. We want this settled just as much as **** does, because like I stated we are out $1,800
and a perfectly good engine. I am also curious as to where they told **** to send the engine
back to because it is now May sth, and the engine has never been brought back to us. Please let
us know if there is anything else we can do here at Woodhull Auto Supply, LLC.
    Sincerely,
    Phillip S***** Jr.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response was not factual as you can see from the attached screenshots, the 1800 went directly to Woodhull and the pictures in the original complaint showed the motor was no good and they wanted me to pay 240 to return the motor and I have no more money. Everything in their response was untrue and I want my money returned so I can purchase a legit motor. Regards, **** *******
