I recently financed a car from Zombie Johns & 4 days after purchasing the Check engine light has come on. This is not under my cars warranty. Zombie Johns recommended me to schedule an appt with their recommended place, in which i did 4/5 times i got it scanned, looked at & supposedly fixed. I had to go back 4 other times because my check engine light STILL did not go off even after these fixes. Now they’re telling me they don’t know why the light is still on & they can’t do anything! I think its VERY unreasonable to sale someone a car knowing this before hand! Very unprofessional. I tried asking about a replacement car from them they have ignored that as being an option.Business Response

Miss **** purchased her vehicle, along with a 24 month/24,000mi servace plan. When her check engine light came on, we brought her in for service and made the necessary repair at no cost to her. Miss **** called about a week later due to another check engine light coming on. Again, we made the necessary repair free of charge. At this time she was made aware that she would have to use her warranty company for any further repairs. Unfortunately, her light did come on again... We again repaired the issue at no cost, and recommended she take her car to e-check to further confirm the issues were solved. IT WAS, as she passed. She was told moving forward, she would have to contact her warranty company. Miss **** has not had to pay anything out of pocket for any repairs on her 2008 Kia RioCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes Zombie Johns did rescan my vehicle 4/5 times to supposedly “fix” this check engine light problem, as the last time i went the problem was checked again, yet STILL not fixed & i am still left with a check engine light left on. This issue is not under my warranty, i should not have to purchase a vehicle & 4 days later a check engine light is on & will not go off before hand & have to pay for it due to this not being under warranty & them not being able to fix this problem.Business Response

While the extended service plan does cover most major repairs to vehicles, it does not cover everything. Unfortunately, minor emissions are not covered under the current plan that was purchased. We have gone over and beyond with Miss **** to help fix these issues. (over $500 in repairs at no cost to customer) The code that is now reading in her pcm has been diagnosed and checked. The part is functioning as it should. We informed her the light may go out once the part and computer communicate properly, or she can take it to a Kia dealer for further investigation. If it is a component covered under her service plan, all repairs will be made as stated in her contract.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
The business stated how they have “gone over & beyond for Miss ****” as you should have. I have gone to the recommended place of Mr ********, to get this problem fixed 4-5 times already & the problem was supposedly checked each time, yet, still not fixed. As you SHOULD have gone above & beyond, seeing that Zombie Johns sold me a vehicle with a check engine light on it, now im left to fend for myself & pay out of pocket cost to take to a Kia dealership to get this light looked at, too? After purchasing a car from you guys with a light on it 3/4 days later, why would i pay for this supposed “over $500 in repairs” when i didn’t cause the “check engine light” issue in the first place. Do better!Initial Complaint

I recently bought a 2019 Nissan Versa off of Zombie Johns, *** ****** **. on March 5th of this year. as soon as I drove off the lot, I noticed problems with the car. My motor mount was completely broken. I have contacted Zombie’s about it, but all I get told is, that it isn’t their problem, they sell cars not fix them. Come to find out, it needs an AC compressor, and struts, and serpentine belt, and I believe the transmission is going out. I have been to their shop 4 TIMES!! Lying, taking my car to work on it, ordering the motor mount without looking, telling me itll be done in 10 min, but all of a sudden they have no part for it and i have to wait longer. I also believe this car has been in an accident. The doors do not match color nor does the fender,, and some kind of splatter across the headliner. The front grill isn’t original. The car also does not have a check engine on it at all. Meaning when you crank it, the bulb is either removed or something. They have not helped me get this car safe.I understand problems with cars, but this thing feels as if itll fall apart. I put $2000 down, with 9k remaining. I do not want to pay for a car I can barely drive because it has problems that I do NOT have the money for. This should have been fixed before they sold it to me.Business Response

I purchased a car on 2/5/2024. The first bank to finance the vehicle backed out of the deal and I had to sign up with a different finance company. The temp tag I was given expired on 3/21. And because I still don't have a memorandum total I had to pay for another temp tag. Also the vehicle's engine light is on due to multiple misfires which the dealer agreed to fix and has failed to do so. I have also had to put in a new thermostat due to over heating problems and the dealer has said they would reimburse me for. I have submitted receipts the dealer asked for for the reimbursement and now they will not return calls or reimburse me due to me leaving a negative review on Google even though it was all true.Business Response

I have reached out to customer, with no call back yet. I have no problem refunding customer $250 for the repair made.
