******************* looked at my car on May 12, 2024. Told me it need a total of $1,069.00 in parts which he needed in cash, which I paid. As of July 15, 2024, the repairs are not completed. I was able to get my car back in June un-fixed after weeks of broken promises. He now avoids my calls and has returned very few texts. I've made three trips to his shop, and he hasn't been there during normal hours or operation. I've seen no parts, no phone call to bring the car back for the work to be completed and no refunded money. When I do hear from him, he has some excuse for his behavior like sick in bed, broken hand, out of town, not the right part. I know things happen in people's lives but come on, three month and still no resolution for a simple air conditioner repair. I don't know the exact definition of thief is but feel this would be close. I have no alternative other than to contact law enforcement to help bring a solution.

I would rate him zero starts if possible. We gave our vehicle to ***** **** last spring (‘22). ***** said needed to order parts and we needed to pay upfront, which we did. This was $600. We did not have communication with him for months. At month 3, we thought it odd that we hadn’t heard from him. We tried calling his phone and business, texting, and would drive by to see if the car was still in the lot and knocked on his door with no answer. We made more attempts and he seemed to be evading us. We were at a loss, as we didn’t want to call police, and didn’t want to tow a vehicle off of the lot. Spring of ‘23, ***** responded to a communication attempt via text. He stated that he was out of town but would call a couple days later, and never did. Again, we reached out more times and didn’t receive any answer. In July ‘23, I inquired about his business to people in his community. One person led me to the Athens Municipal Court search, where he has an open court case regarding a stolen vehicle on his property. Another family is in the process of suing him, as he did the same thing to their family. Many other things discussed by community members but I do not want to spread hearsay. After learning this, I called the sheriff on July 3rd and they sent a deputy to check on our vehicle, which was still on the lot. ***** had time to answer his door for the police! The officer arranged that he have the car returned to us the next day. ***** quickly fixed the car and returned it to us. He offered no apology or excuse as to why he evaded communication and still expected payment for his labor. We got the car back and it was fixed, but it perplexing as to why he had it so long and ignored communication attempts, and why he is doing this to other families. We had the luxury of borrowing another vehicle, but some families do not and I don’t want anyone else to suffer because of it whatever is going on over there.
