I moved in to Unit 104 on May 13th under the promise that the unit would be repaired. When I arrived, the apartment was in such disrepair (including missing windows, water damaged walls, broken glass) that I demanded a move to another unit, as well as money off of my monthly rent due to the lack of holding up their end of the lease agreement. After fighting for weeks, they agreed to move me to Unit 103 across the hall which had its own number off issues. I had more broken windows, damaged flooring, and a non-functional stove for almost two months. Most of these issues remain unresolved. Additionally, about a month ago, the ceiling in the bathroom began to cave in due to a leak from the tub in the ceiling above. They never addressed the leak, and instead, patched up the ceiling and left it unrepaired (this is noticed in the city inspection completed in Feb 2023). Two weeks ago, the leak persisted and more damage was occuring on the ceiling. I notified the maintenance team and they no-showed multiple appointments to fix the damage. I was contacted by ***************** in the front office that I needed to stop cancelling the maintenance appointments, even though that never occurred. After calling them out for the behavior, they notified me that they were not extending my lease and I needed to move out by May 31st. When I called the main office to dispute what happened, ***************** stated that it was "my communication with the front office" as to why they chose to not allow for the renewal. I have been living in a severly disrepaired apartment for almost a year, paying the full monthly rent, only for them to not hold up their end of the bargain. I'm not the only one experiencing these issues either - multiple renters report the exact same experience with this company and a quick ****** search will show how unprofessional and negligent they are.
