Tree Service (TS) *** **********) contracted to remove and grind stumps of 1 tree, multiple big yews on LEFT SIDE of house and grind 1 existing stump on the Right Side of house (not done). April 4 By mistake Tree Service went around the corner into the backyard shrub bed (separated by 7 ft of cement) and cut down a slow-growing, dwarf 20+ year-old Birds Nest Spruce. TS replied to April 4th call by repeating only “someone will come out to look at it.” When I again asked for details of who and when, TS would only say someone will come out and ignore the who/when. I emailed pictures of site and matching Birds Nest Spruce. Later TS called and said that "the someone" would be staff. Again I asked timeframe: 1 wk., 3 mos., or something in-between? TS said 1 week. 1 week later, I called and left message. April 12, called and talked with Manager. He said he would come the week of April 15-19. He was a No-show/No-call. April 19, I called. He came April 22. Manager many times said it was impossible to find a replacement that could match size/value of 20-year-old tree. Manager offered a small Bird’s Nest Spruce or a Japanese Maple tree (didn’t fit with existing shrubs). He asked if there was other tree work. We explored options. I asked him to come in and together summarize our discussion. He declined – "was late for another appointment." I offered to draft summary. April 22 emailed it for TS review/input. April 22 was only time TS came to see/talk about their mistake. April 26 TS President emailed: “. . . I have made the executive decision to end our conversations as a company. “ We have gone above and beyond to try to remedy every one of your calls and emails. . . There is nothing more we can do or offer you. At this time we won't be taking anymore emails or calls from you as it is teetering on being a bit harassing. We feel that all reasonable offers have been made to you as a courtesy and nothing will ever be good enough to satisfy you.”

I had Barberton Tree Service come out and price 3 trees to be cut down. I decided to hurry and get 1 cut down due to it dying. They came and cut down the tree and did a good job. Left some debris which was expected, but as i was looking around my yard. I noticed holes in my vinyl siding and my enclosed porch window screen, seems like something was pulled across it causing holes in it. I also had debris in my drive and front yard as well as my neighbor's front yard. I couldn't understand that, seeing the tree was over 100 ft. in my backyard. So, i called and sent pictures of the damage to Barberton Tree Service. Waited a few days to respond. They said they take pictures before, So they should show no damage. But i was told by ****, that they seen damage on google and i was committing insurance fraud. First of all, there was some damage to the front corner of the soffit and facia, which had been closed up. However, there were not any holes in my vinyl siding and no holes in my enclosed porch window screen. There are still pieces of leaves in between the seams of the siding. ****, said the wind could have done that. She wants to send her auto repair guy to come look for paint markings. So, I told her since it seems like your Company is not going own up to Their damages. Guess we'll have to go to court. I wish i would have look on this site at some of the reviews before calling. I would have never done it. It's just wild, how someone would think that someone would call you to send $1,200 dollars. To scam them out of a few hundred of dollars , if that! I have better things to do with my time, since I'm a Contactor myself. Guess we'll have to look at the pictures in court. ZERO STARS for customer servic

In response to this complaint, I would first like to state that our primary goals within our company are to provide safe and quality tree care with customer satisfaction being a top priority and take slanderous and fraudulent statements like this very seriously.******************** submitted an email to our company that showed supposed damage to the home. According to the 2011 and 2021 ****** images, it shows some of the same existing damage that can be seen from satellite photographs of the property. When I mentioned this to ********************, he immediately became upset. We expressed that it was fraudulent to try to have our company pay for something that has been damaged since at least 2011 as documented. The customer then admitted that there was previous damage to that area. The areas that the customer stated were damaged were also at least 100ft away from the drop-zone of the tree that was being removed. This makes the likelihood of a falling section of the tree striking the house impossible. Our contract coordinator has also been on site after the work was performed to assess the damage and has additionally determined that the likelihood of the crew causing any of the damage due to their equipment positioning was extremely low as well. The section of cracked siding for example is located so high on the siding that it is almost certainly out of reach for the type of work that was being done in that vicinity.Working on living organisms can come with high risks of accidents, due to the unpredictability of trees throughout their life cycle. To counter these risks, we employ only qualified candidates to perform this type of work, as well as providing them with the best training and equipment possible. Due to the high likelihood of these accidents occurring regarding the type of work we are performing, we are fully insured and covered by ********* Compensation. We also have a strict company policy that allows our employees to document any accident or property damage free of disciplinary action or penalty. We provide this type of employee forgiveness because not only do we understand the unpredictability of trees, but also because if property damage does in fact occur, we strive to get our customer taken care of immediately. Although it is a rarity within a company as highly qualified and credible as ours, when these accidents occur, our employees are excellent at documenting and reporting the damage. We have met with every member of the crew that performed the work for this customer and not a single employee noted any kind of damage caused by our crew throughout the duration of this job.We believe we have performed this work abiding by company standards from start to finish. Our estimator arrived on time to provide a quote for multiple trees while providing excellent customer ********************** and communication. To help the customer and help make the work more affordable for the customer, our office manager set them up with a 0 interest, 0 fee payment plan, allowing them to have the work performed in a timely manner before another issue with the dying tree could arise. The crew that performed the work also showed up on time, set up a safe and efficient work zone with all members wearing their required PPE and succeeded in removing the customers hazardous tree. Without any prior photos taken of the damaged sections of the house that show them intact, we can only choose to stand by the photos and the words of our credible crew members at this time, which deny any form of property damage caused by our company.
