  Closed on my house on 7/19 with the promise of a new roof. The roof was new, but installed very poorly. Flashing on the chimney is done incorrectly, flashing in other parts is missing, soffits are blocked, gutters are all wrong, nails up on the roof, shingles are raised, fascia isn’t nailed correctly, and venting through the roof for bathroom and sewer stack are non-existent. This will cost thousands of dollars to fix and again, it was supposed to be new so I wouldn’t have to spend money on a roof.

  Hello, I have spoken to **** (the person that filed the complaint).  We have come to an agreement that our company Skymount is going to pay to have a new roof installed on the house that he recently purchased from us.  The new roof isn't going to be installed for a month or two but, **** seems very happy with the solution to the problem.  He will be in touch once the new roof is installed.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
  
  The owner of the company has not committed to fully funding the entire roof and subsequent other issues related to the roof that need completely redone. I want in writing that he will use a bank check for the entire amount my roofer quoted him or I will not be satisfied.  He keeps trying to get me to have someone else do parts of the project independently and I do not want someone else to do the project. I want my roofer to do the project.  The guy he sent over from All-weather roofing as his suggested company did not know nor could find half of the problems with my roof when he went up there and inspected everything.  He is saying that it is going to take several months for him to get the money to be able to pay for the roof, but I want it done by the end of September because I bought this house with the understanding the roof was new meaning it was installed correctly along with the sewer stack and the bathroom upstairs being vented properly and the soffits not being blocked, etc. I am waiting to get my house insulated in the attic and My roofer and the three companies I quoted for the insulation All said that I need to wait until the roof is done. Brandon keeps saying he does not understand why I do not have to get the insulation done after the roof and said he has never heard of that before. I attached text messages with Brandon and other things were through a phone call with him and to show that he Does not seem to take me seriously and that I want this done. Every day that goes by that I don’t have insulation in my roof that should’ve been installed already. I’m losing money every day. It is warm outside potential mold growing in my attic because Brandon does not have the attic vented properly with all the soffits blocked plus the flashing around my chimney is absolutely terrible and there’s no weather cap on my chimney and when I had my hot water tank installed the hot water company, even said you need to get that fixed ASAP or could ruin what we just did with your new tank. Therefore, I am requesting that Brandon writes a check to IB Exteriors for the full amount they quoted so then I can close this case and I can get the roof. I deserve a half of my house installed correctly.

  We have tried multiple times to send someone out to fix the soffit venting issue and the flashing around the chimney.  The new owners refuse to let us fix the issues.  He keeps demanding a new roof be installed by his contractor.  The roof is brand new and we just installed it a few months ago.  The whole roof does not need replaced.  We are more than willing to make the couple minor repairs if the new owners will allow.
