      I was contacted by HR after having applied for a position I saw posted on indeed. I had a first interview that went well and was invited in for a second interview at the last minute which I had no problem with modifying my schedule to attend, as I was very interested and excited about the opportunity. After which, I was contacted by HR via email to discuss a possible start date and salary requirements after having a clear background come back. What I can conclude after being very blatantly ignored by HR after a few email exchanges discussing a salary that must have been beyond the scope of the position, is that they must also be in the business of employing HR professionals that do not have the common courtesy to return phone calls or (several) emails. I am completely disappointed in how this was handled or wasn't handled I should say. A simple reply advising what the salary for the position is, followed by both parties either coming to an agreement or deciding not to move forward if they could not come to an agreement is not only fair but typically customary. I cannot wrap my head around how the company values include being kind, providing outstanding service and keeping God first when someone in HR refuses to provide an update. In all my life I have not experienced such a deplorable experience with a potential employer and I now see that it was in both parties best interest that I not join the company after having experienced this. I do hope that this is not a common practice from their HR department and that going forward they revisit how common salary negotiation is, and the value in having someone in Human Resources who is familiar with simple administrative etiquette.
