Every week I have to call Rumpke to advise that either my trash or my recycle has not been picked up. They continue to apologize weekly and say they will look into it and let me know that the route supervisor will ensure going forward they are picked up weekly. Again today after 2 calls over 40 minutes on the phone they have still not been emptied. I'm not comfortable giving them even 1 star as the customer experience is terrible and level of service is non-existent. I have no other bins to put my trash in and it is becoming unsanitary, unfortunately it is not a priority for Rumpke.Review from Danley W

I can't give a rating lower that one star. Terrible terrible customer service. Two weeks in a row missed my ***** ****** OH ***** residential trash pickup. I called and she sat there arguing with me that it's my fault ... they may have come at 7 am, they always have come in in the afternoon !!! She said they have the right to change the schedule in this case to allow the workers to avoid the extreme heat in the late morning early afternoon. Ok, so why not tell the customers e.g., email or text that the pickup is significantly changed. The lady I spoke with was belligerent, argumentative, aggressive, insulting... Biggest bull **** ever seen. What happened to put your customers first service. Payment Dept. The company has told me and some of my friends that we do not have funds in our credit/debit cards when we do. We like to pay a year in advance not to have to deal with them because they have no local offices in which to pay or contact. They continue to do this to put you a month in arrears. They've refused credit/debit cards they say they take by telling us there is not enough to pay the bill, then we try to pay directly from the bank and they say we don't have enough numbers in our router number. So how are you supposed to pay a bill if there is not local office or any way local to pay them, the refuse the debit cards that have more than enough to pay, and the refuse the bank withdrawal method. It appears to be a means of making additional money by making it difficult to pay one's bill. Please investigate.Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response

If I could give 0 stars, I would!This place is a JOKE!!! They leave trash everywhere, throw your cans into the road, refuse to pick up EMPTY BOXES that can be mashed in their compactor....They're flat out LAZY!!! Their customer service *****!Why they're in a customer SERVICE role, is beyond me! They don't care one bit to service anyone!!! They are worthless!!!Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response

Worst trash company ever, they always raising there rates, currently $150 for 3 months, half time they dont pick up our trash, have to call in and complain, its a on going issue, if they drop stuff it will sit till uou get home.... if cats dont tear it up! First we never know when out trash man will show up sometimes its in the morning sometimes in the afternoon sometimes not at all and then when you go 2 weeks with no service and your trash can lid sticks up 1 inch over then they wont pick it up again then if you call to complain the driver wont stop the next trip so then you go 3 weeks with no service and still get billed for the service absolutely the worst company ever This is meant for the Dayton Ohio Branch which I will be canceling on going to Waste managementRumpke Waste & Recycling Response

Would have given 0 stars if possible! Worst service ever! Rumpke has only picked up the trash for our apartment complex twice within 6 weeks! I have had several conversations with customer service and the dispatcher for our location. Every time its a different excuse why they didnt pickup (overflowing dumpster, car in the way, etc). Each time I have asked for the pictures and only once have they provided the actual picture and it was from another location, the driver never even attempted to actually pickup the dumpster. Then when they schedule a different day to pickup the driver never shows up! They havent even tried to pickup our dumpster. The driver is incompetent and the customer service team are just making excuses. Now they want me to go meet them tomorrow before our driver shows up so that everyone can see what the issue is. Oddly enough I have managed this property for over a decade and this is the first time weve had these issues. Only thing that has changed is the driver is new. Our tenants have lived there for years, so they know what needs to be done in order for Rumpke to pickup the trash on Friday mornings. This has become such an issue that we are now talking with ******** Services and I think we might be going that route moving forward. They have been super helpful so far and their prices are way better than Rumpke!Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response

Our garage receptacle was taken a month ago now and there is yet to be any resolution. First time my husband the representative suggested that we buy a new one and expect a partial reimbursement. We asked for a supervisor and were told that a used receptacle would be sent to us. Over two weeks ago we talked to someone again and we were told that we'd have a new can within 10 business days. Still nothing. This is unacceptable. It is beyond me why it was taken in the first place, but now we are left with empty promises instead of empty trash.Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response

I've been helping my sister out over the last year now and when we forget to move her van I usally run outside while they are still sitting in her driveway to move it but they usally leave after a few mins after I have moved my sister van out of the way so they could have emptied her dumpers before they left her driveway.Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response

RUMPKE bought out my previous trash service. Collection is hit and miss! They try to hide extra fees. If you call for reservations they just lie and tell you what you want to hear but don't do anything at all! Not impressed and will be looking for a new service!Rumpke Waste & Recycling Response
