Approximately April 2022 I was in the process of getting a mortgage loan for the purchase of my new home. I had to get a quote for home owners insurance and called Broz. Insurance (insurance broker) and dealt with a man named Kyle. He got a quote from **** ******* Insurance and my mortgage company, ******* Home Loans, was called and provided the quote. I shopped around and found ********** Insurance was less expensive. On April 18, 2022, I paid a year's worth of insurance in the amount of $726.38. I then received a notice from my Mortgage company that they were going to cancel ********** and the insurance was going to be **** ******* Insurance. I told the mortgage company it should remain **********. I then called Kyle from Broz. and told him I didn't sign up for anything and only asked for a quote. He then started harassing me that this would go against my credit and then inundated me with calls, emails and mail. After the first time of telling him he did not receive my consent, I refused to answer because it was something he needed to clear up since he got insurance without my authorization. I am now receiving a notice from a collection agency which I have contacted to let them be aware. They said they would no longer contact me in the future. I feel their company should be penalized in their grade for BBB for signing people up without their consent. I did not in any way authorize them to sign me up for insurance.
