When I purchased my 2017 ***** *** from **** Sweeney, I was told upon purchase that I was granted 3 free oil changes with my purchase. I had the first one completed without incident, however, when I made an appointment for the 2nd one today, I was told that it was not free. I questioned this and was told I needed to bring my coupon from my book that was given to me. Now- this book, which I am not sure I even received, had not ever been mentioned prior AND when I made the appointment, the girl on the phone even said to me that it was free. I refused to allow service to perform the oil change. The manager at the service counter seemed very unconcerned about my dissatisfaction and didnt offer any kind of resolution. I went inside to talk to someone in sales, as this is where I was first told I had these oil changes, and *** Sweeney overheard. He told me to get my coupon and he would honor it. I came home and looked in my folder of paperwork from the sale, and I had no coupon book. I called back to speak with ***, and left a message again expressing my dissatisfaction, and received no return call. On another note, when I purchased said truck, there was a grease stain on the backseat. I was told they could get that out, no problem. I took it back and they were unable to get it out. They were supposed to order something else to try to clean it and I never got a call back to take the truck back to try again. I didnt push that issue, as it was minor, but in the grand scheme of things, especially after this experience, I feel its relevant to the character of the business.

We offer 3 free oil changes throughout the lifetime ownership of the vehicle. They are at 35k intervals. We provide a coupon book at the time of purchase that outlines exactly when the customer will receive the free oil changes. Mr. ***** was under the impression that his 'first 3' oil changes would be free. We asked him to get his coupon book so we could walk through it, but he left. The mileage begins at time of purchase. Mr. ***** purchase his truck @ 113774 miles. His first oil change was free. His second oil change will be free @ 148,744 miles as long as he's performed his recommend service intervals per the service coupon book.

Attempted to purchase a 2019 **** ********** from the dealer for $32,495 (cash price on their website) offered to come up the next day with a check and the dealer stated that they are only accepting financing offers on the vehicle. Their website clearly states cash price. Even talked to the manager and was told the same thing. Very deceptive business practice.

I had recently purchased 2018 ***** ***** I was originally told that the car I wanted was on sale for $13000. However, after I closed the deal I find that I was charged over $19,000 for the car. With tax, title, added charges, etc came out to over $24,000. I can get a brand new 2024 ***** ***** same exact car for $20,000. The blue book retail value for this same year, make, and model car falls within the $14,000 to $19,000 range. The sale was quite deceptive being told the car was on sale for $13,000 and being charged over $6,000 more than I was originally told. Beyond the blue book retail value and what I can get the same exact car brand new. When I signed the papers to close the sale I was under the impression that I was purchasing the car for the sale price of $13,000 but charged the purchase price of a brand new car instead. On top of that it has an open recall regarding a control arm assembly weld. If the control arm was to break loose the car would be out of control causing a crash. Fortunately, I have made arrangements to get the recall taken care of. Nonetheless, I should of been paying attention to what I am being told and what I am actually being charged. I still have the message quoting me the sale price of $13,000. I am a repeated customer but I may want to consider going somewhere else on my next purchase.

****************** purchased a 2018 ********* **** for $15,990. He made a $500 down payment. His taxes were $1761.63. He also purchased a service contract for $3997 and gap insurance for $1300. We have a doc fee of $250 and a deal fee of $35. He financed $24131.63. I can provide the signed buyers order if needed.

I apologize for the bad review. I should have gone over the charges before posting. I wanted to and couldn’t find how to remove the review after posting. I am very happy with the car. And such a quick turnaround in closing the sale and driving the car home. Much nicer car than the last one I purchased from Walt Sweeney. Just shocked with everything coming out to about $10,000 more than expected in the end. I will mention that Walt Sweeney Ford on Glenway Ave has always worked with me in financing a car, out the door and driving it home in just a couple of hours.

Over charged for diagnostic and then they lied to me on top of it about situations with my truck

Mr. ***** called to ask about his vehicle and the advisor Todd told him what they found and how much it would cost to fix it. There were 2 issues which would normally be 2 separate diagnostic feels. When Todd told him the cost he Mr. ***** then called him a ***** and hung up. When he came to pick up his truck shortly thereafter, he was drunk and bragged about how much he had had to drink. He about fell into our glass case and then the computer monitor. Todd did not allow him to take his truck since he was drunk. When he came back the next day, he was only charged 1 diagnostic plus tax. He then apologized to him and said to Todd "God Bless You" and his wife apologized for him being a jerk. I do not feel Walt Sweeney Ford has done anything wrong but did the right thing in not giving him his truck while he was under the influence. Thank you
