I came here back in December after hurting my knee while running, I saw Dr. I****. I liked him at first, but after I went back to go over my MRI, I didn't even get to talk to the doctor. They barely even showed me the MRI results, told me nothing was wrong, and told me to do PT. I requested my MRI on December 23rd and they told me I would get it in a couple of weeks to a month. I went back to the office in January after never receiving my MRI, they told me to call the medical records office. After talking with the medical records office, I was told I needed to fill out paperwork to request my MRI. It's been 3 months and I still never got my MRI. I would recommend going anywhere else but here.

Do NOT go to Beacon for anything!!If I could give NO stars I would! They shouldnt even call themselves healthcare professionals!! Beacon only cares about getting paid and taking pre-payment prior to rendering care or servicecanceled a scheduled surgery date and changed the surgery time because they hadnt received pre-payment. Called the day before scheduled surgery and lied about time of surgery and then canceled the entire procedure and never allowed me to speak to the physician/surgeon Terrible customer service!!!Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!! They only want your money and do not care about you or your health

The surgeon misaligned my knee replacement causing a torn patella liagament which created a huge knot a the top of my knee. There is no recovery from this. I spoke to him about it 2 weeks after surgery and he told me to put ice on it and he was done. Ice does not fix a torn liament, my advice is to pass on Beacon for your replacements you are treated like an assembly line.

I have tried for over a month to get Beacon to release my MRI and X-ray images to my new doctor. This was after I completed release forms. I have fought with them over the phone. I went into the office personally to get images. They claim it’s not their policy to release them to me. It’s been 3 weeks since they told me they would resend and my Dr. still doesn’t have them. This place is horrible!!! Do not use this company. I’ve was told after the fact that this is typical Beacon behavior.

You are placed on hold for up to an hour to reach anyone at Beacon. The patient portal that they talk about on their website does not work!

Found out after having surgery that Beacon corporate charges $50 to fill out an FMLA disability form. That only needs a simple signature. If this is not taking advantage of people, then I dont know what is. Beacon should be ashamed of themselves for this ridiculous money grab. Forcing people to pay them $50 when they have to have a form signed for their employer to pay for their leave of absence. Shame on Beacon. Never was mentioned prior to surgery.

Beacon lacks problem-solving skills and will avoid patients who have concerns about a doctor. They don't seem to have a patient relations department nor will they return calls or emails. One of their doctors canceled a surgery that I was to have after accusing me of telling a hospital where I was going for pre-admission testing that I was going to report him-the hospital nor I have no idea what he is talking about and his surgery scheduler was vague. I suspect he took issue with me asking questions about my hip replacement since communication wasn't good. Then I scheduled with another doctor, but the doctor who canceled my surgery told schedulers to ban me from Beacon and he also sent a letter banning me from Beacon, accusing me of threatening behavior and being combative. I haven't seen this surgeon since July, and I didn't threatening anyone. I am perplexed as to how a physician has a right to ban a patient he personally has an issue with from seeing another doctor. He in essence placed a trespass order on me but it didn't come from Beacon's attorney and it's all a lie. The letter didn't "cc" any other department such as HR, the legal ***** COO, etc. What if my insurance restricts me to Beacon? I can't get my hip repaired because Dr. ** doesn't like me because I asked if he was using a titanium hip? I advocate for my health and will ask questions. Perhaps he should have been more thorough so I wouldn't have to keep sending emails. My concern at this point is the lack of communication from Beacon regarding this bizarre turn of events and how one doctor can ban a patient from a practice that has dozens of other doctors. Plus, he slandered me in a letter. The medical board has received a complaint. I would prefer to have a conversation with Beacon leadership so that they can understand how serious this is for patients when doctors contrive narratives and impose bans in lies. This is bad business.

I’m on SS and a fixed budget. I’m also on ******** with a supplemental secondary insurance. I received a bill for around $1100 three months ago and about had heart failure. I paid half of it then questioned a friend who is also on ********. She said her orthopedic surgeon bills are paid 100%. I then contacted my secondary insurance provider who said they had received some claims from Beacon but they needed info on how much ******** paid so they could pay their portion. Called Beacon and even provided a phone number to talk to any of my supplemental insurance company agents about the bills. Received another bill from Beacon saying I’m now past due. Will be calling my secondary insurance company to find out how to file a claim(s), get my medical records from Beacon and find another orthopedic surgeon office where laziness or incompetence won’t impact my wallet. If I have to do their work for them they really don’t need me and it makes me angry because I really like Dr. H*******.

Beacon was supposed to refund me $1,300 and it’s been over two months. I waited the 4-6 weeks and called. I called on 9/14/22 and the billing department stated I should call the post office, they can track the check and it was mailed on 9/6/22. I spoke with Jennifer who told me she was going to call me by 9/16 with more details. No one called, so I called back on 9/16 and was told that the accounting department made an error and a stack of refunds were never mailed for July and August. Jennifer was apologetic and said it was Beacon’s fault. She said the check was mailed that day, 9/16, and I should get it by 9/20. She was going to call me on 9/20 to verify. If the check wasn’t delivered, they would direct deposit the refund. No one called on 9/20, so I called that afternoon. Andrea said she couldn’t track the check but it was mailed on 9/2/22, so I was right back to square one. After I explained everything, she said she was going to call me the next day, 9/21, or Jennifer would call. Neither of them called me, so I called them at 4:00 on 9/21. I spoke with Judy who said I am at the mercy of the US postal service. I told her Beacon is holding my money hostage and I can’t pay medical bills. It’s been almost 12 weeks; the check was supposed to be delivered in 4-6 weeks. Beacon should be ashamed and I want my money back.
