For the last week (7/20 to 7/26) I have been working with Jake Sweeney Automotive to negotiate a price on a used **** **** ********. The salesperson I worked with texted everything to me which actually began with an "Out the Door" price on Thursday (7/21) which we agreed to. The salesperson wasn't working on Friday so I didn't go in on Friday to pick up the ****. I was out of town on Saturday and Sunday, which I told them upfront was the case. We had agreed to pick up on either Monday (7/25) or Tuesday (7/26). I was also having them get the financing set up for the **** so it wouldn't take long. I gave them all of my information on Monday (7/25) and asked a few times about payment options and what I can do. We had settled to pick up the **** on Tuesday (7/26) because the salesperson was off work on Monday before I could get out of work to be up there. On Tuesday (7/26), I gave all the final information, drivers license, SSN to go ahead and run my credit for payment options. I was given 3 options, 53 Months, 60 Months and 75 Months after my credit was run. I selected the 75 Month option. The salesperson asked when I could come to pick up the **** and I let her know I was working out a ride up there to get it (dealership is 40 minutes away). 25 minutes later, I get a text saying the **** was sold when she went to get the keys. I called and it was explained to me that the **** was put on hold on Saturday (7/23) and sold on Monday (7/25). So I asked why did they run my credit for a car that they didn't even have to sell. The salesperson got irritated with my question and just passed me off to the manager which didn't take my call or call me back. This company sold me a car that they had already sold a day earlier. But worse, they ran my credit (which hurts my credit) for a **** that I couldn't get since it was sold and they didn't know. What kind of company sells a car that they don't have?
