I purchased a car from Ram Imports on 5/3/24. The paperwork I signed has the total price as $5672.42 after tax, title and fees however they charged a total of $5808.00 to my account. The vehicle broke down on the highway 15 minutes on the way home from the lot. The Ram Imports representative gave me a loaner car while they looked at the vehicle I had just paid for. While the car was being looked at, the representative tried to pressure me into spending another $1,000 on a different car to replace the one broken down. I declined to spend any additional money and they quickly stopped the resolution of a different vehicle choice. On 5/13 Ram Imports called me saying the car I purchased was ready and that it was fixed by the specific dealership of the car, stating they paid $500 to have it fixed and repeatedly emphasizing how they have never done this for anyone else. Really reassuring that they resolved the issue. I went and picked the car up on 5/14 and it broke down in the same way on the way home in almost the same exact spot on the side of the highway. I called Ram Imports where they then stated they don't know what to tell me because they fixed it, despite me being stuck on the side of the highway. The Ram Imports representative sent me pictures of an invoice to prove they paid $500 to the dealership to have the battery replaced but the document amounts do not add up. The invoice says $442.96 but there is no breakdown of the work done and the amount. The only amount listed is $30 for "shop supplies". Ram Imports presented me with an inspection/estimate report and is falsely claiming they paid and fixed the issue.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

No other issues were addressed. And the business also lied about the mileage on the vehicle. I received a one month 1,000 mile warranty with the car (see image attached). The coverage was for mileage 155k-156k starting on the date of purchase 5/3/24-6/3/24. As you can see from the document the business submitted, the vehicle had 160,875 miles when the mechanic received the car.

We purchased a vehicle from said company on Oct 12/2022 our son drove the vehicle for 1.5 months and it started making a horrible noise , took to a mechanic and they advised the car needs a complete motor and that the car had sent codes advising of mechanical issues before we purchased vehicle and had been cleared, but repairs not made
