    I have had this vacuum for 12 days. The belt keeps burning and this is the third belt in 10 days! The sales rep even came and changed the roller and the belt for me the day after I got it. I just plugged it in to clean before out guests show up for Thanksgiving and once again my house smells like burnt rubber. I do not want this vacuum anymore, what a hassle.

To provide you with some information you may not have, The Kirby Company has a vendor/vendee relationship with the door-to-door distributors who sell our products. The Kirby Company manufactures home cleaning systems and markets them to these distributorships, which are independently owned operated businesses. These distributorships, through their salespeople, then sell the systems directly to consumer end-users via in-home demonstrations. Any contracts for the end-use of a Kirby cleaning system are between the consumer, the distributorship, and, if applicable, the finance company; The Kirby Company is not party to those contracts and is therefore unable to cancel those contracts. I am confident that we can assist you with the burning belt issue. Our troubleshooting team can be reached 8am -6pm EST weekdays at 800.437.7170 option 2.     They will let any person be a distributor. Just had a horrible experience where not only were they ringing my doorbell, but pounding on the door and yelling like there was an emergency. Didn’t even give me time to answer the door. And as soon as I stepped outside they were 3 houses down and I could hear them banging on doors and yelling still. Only one person answered. Best customer service could do was add our address to a do not go to list. I find that barely acceptable. They are a representative of the company and should be respectful and they are not.

    They said "I promise this vacuum will last a lifetime." It only lasted 4yrs for $2k. For the price we paid it should have lasted a lifetime and they also took our working Dyson vacuum which probably would have outlasted this one. When contacted customer service they said there wasn't anything they could do, when told I would report to BBB they wanted me to call to see if they could help....called in and never received a call back.

They are built to last a lifetime when properly maintained, and we want to assist with your concerns.
