    I have been receiving unwanted mail from Splash Financial for close to a year now and am unable to stop it. I have sent back every single letter I receive with "Return to Sender. Remove from Mailing" and they continue to send mail. They have recently been sending mail without labeling in order to hide that it's from them in order to get me to open it. This is junk mail and it's only an attempt by them to get me to refinance. I no longer want to receive mail from them or have them contact me in any form at all.

    I was on Credit Karma’s app and this lender appeared in my feed. I submitted my application and it’s been a week and the loan is still going through underwriting. 2-3 days is a lie. When I called to ask the status a week later, the rep mentioned that they would need to call me to verify additional information. This is not new to me as I have a fraud alert on my credit reports. I have been through this process with REPUTABLE companies many times. The issue with Splash is- no one ever called me. After reaching out asking why, the rep stated my phone is blocking spam phone numbers?? What on earth? If this is a legitimate company why would they call from a ‘Spam Likely’ number anyway I went to my iPhone settings to ensure there weren’t any blocks and yes you guessed it no blocks! So I reached out again and this time I was told my phone number must not be correct on the credit reports. I know this is a lie because I monitor my credit reports actively. Plus I reached out to them to confirm and you guessed it my phone number listed is correct. The only conclusion I could come to is that they are discriminating against me because I am a woman of color ( I had to send my drivers license and take a selfie) So instead of denying the application it is currently under review. Now I am nervous this company has my personal and financial details. I would never recommend Splash Financial! I will be disputing the inquiry too!

    Dear Ms. ********  Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your recent Better Business Bureau review. We take all consumer feedback seriously. Splash Financial, Inc. (“Splash”) is a leading digital lending platform that helps consumers shop and compare products from a Splash-powered network of banks, credit unions, and other lending partners. On or about April 16, 2024, you applied for an unsecured personal loan via the Splash platform. At that time, you provided a written instruction to pull a credit report and consented to a standard identity verification process via Splash’s third-party service provider. This process includes requesting a copy of the applicant’s government-issued photo ID and a self-photo (“selfie”) and is required for all applicants on the Splash platform. On or about April 23, 2024, Splash followed the specific instructions on the credit report it obtained, but could not clear the extended fraud alert in material compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (the “FCRA”) despite several attempts. Subsequently, you contacted Splash directly via telephone, and Splash advised you that unfortunately, it could not clear the extended fraud alert. Later that day, you withdrew the application. Splash takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and protecting consumers. Splash followed internal policies and procedures as well as compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.     This is not true. This was definitely not my experience. I submitted my application and it was left pending for 1 week. I had to call in several times the following week to obtain more information. The 3 representatives that I spoke with kept telling me that my phone number on my credit report was not correct. 2 stated the underwriting team attempted to call me-again another lie. After confirming with all 3 credit bureaus that my phone number listed was indeed correct ( I've never had this issue before with any other creditor besides Splash) that is when I called in to withdraw my application. Consumers beware! The process I had to go through is not worth the inquiry on my credit report nor the headache trying to get a legitimate answer. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
