I purchased a **** *** *** ******** **** on November 22, 2023. The car is under warranty. There is aproblem with the sensor where certain functions of the car isn't working. The dealership has been aware since Nov 25th. They have had the car multiple times supposedly fixing the problem, yet it's still not fixed. I took the car to Mercedes to have it looked at and come to find out the car had been in an accident previously which damaged the sensor. I took the car back to Northcoast, by the way the car is under warranty. But they refuse to fix the car. I have taken it back 4 times. Each time they have the car for a week and the problem still isn't fixed. Please help.Initial Complaint

On December 8, 2023 I purchased a Trex premium from North Coast auto Mall. When I drove it the next day, I realized that the seatbelts have been cut from a previous accident. I immediately called the dealership and told them the situation, and they asked me what did I do to the seatbelt. I sent them this picture that I am enclosing and told my sale representative that it had been cut from the accident and that they told me the accident was minor but it could’ve been minor if the passenger had to be cut out of the car. They jeopardize my life by letting me drive off the lot with an operable seatbelts.Business Response

Hello, I am reaching out about the cancellation for my ***** *** insurance that was filed on 9-5-2023 for my totaled 2018 *** Terrain that I purchased from NorthCoast. I am highly frustrated that it is already 11-8-2023 and I have not received my check from ***** **** **** ******. It took me weeks to even speak to someone but a promised return call from ****** ******** office was not followed through. Monday, 11-6- 2023 I called again with my intentions to bring my attorney into the situation and received a call back from someone who said they were from the Customer Service Department but I heard kids crying in the background. I was given information that turned out to not be true. SHe said it was sent to my finance company on August 21 2023 but I the cancellation request wasnt until September. I called my finance company ****** to find out if they had the check and they never received one from them. I called the lady back with Customer Service requesting that a copy of the check front and back be sent to ******** email. ********************************** She assured me they would. She assured me that someone would call me back within 24 hours but again, no one called me. 11-8-2024 I called North Coast customer service number again. Im not sure if its the same person. All I know is that they both have accents. She informed me that they never received a check (different from mondays CS rep!) and for me to call ***** and ****** finance. I tell her I did already and the dealership was not cooperating with myself or ******** requests. She said she would call me back. I then proceeded to call ***** and they gave me the following information. I called her back with the information and she said things I could not understand. When I mentioned the check number and date cashed from ***** she conveniently hung up on me and its been 15 minutes I have continuously tried to call her back and no answer. Cancellation date was 7-19-2023 Processed on 9-6-2023\ Check was sent to ***** **** **** ****** *** *n September 12 2023 CHeck # ***** was cashed by ***** **** **** ****** *** *n 9-28-2023 Please explain to me why this is so difficult to get my money? Or speak to someone who can tell me factual information on this matter? I should be receiving a refund of 59.42% of what I paid minus a 50.00 cancellation fee. I am not trying to get free money here, only what I am legally entitled to because my car was totaled with no fault of my own. I am now regretful that I purchased another *** from North Coast in July.Business Response

Failure to disclose and misrepresentation on vechile sold. I bought a car and financed thru ******* *** 12/31/2022 the car has had issues since. I took the car back to the dealer three times since and another (*****) dealer once. I went to the dealer 8/29/2023 my car has been there since 8/24/2023. I complained that it was not getting fixed and I feel unsafe in it and I advised them that I am extremely unhappy with all the issues. I explained to them that the **** Dealer(*****) told me it was in an accident when I took it there in 5/2023 for service. ***** stated that the right side of car was fix/painted. I told them that it was not reported on the ****** when I purchased in 12/31/2022. So back to 8/29/2023 They reran the ****** 8/29/2023 and it now is showing up that it was in an accident going back to 11/15/2019. Proving the issues I am continuously having with the car. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] The vehicle purchased had in fact had damages and these were undisclosed damages. Multiple attempts to the salesman and dealership remained unanswered prior to 8/24/2023 visit. Documentation of all attempts can be submitted. Car Dealership have buyers and trained staff to know what they are getting themselves into. After buying the car I mentioned this to *** ******** and sales Manager and all of a sudden there is NO record or this. They are pleading ignorance in to situation and it is unfair to me a consumer.

I inquired about a 2019 ****** ********** Limited - VIN: ***************** Stock: ********* on 9/4/2023. I received a call from sales associate ******* ******-***** (******) to discuss purchase options and negotiate. I am from out of state and would be flying into Cleveland one a one-way ticket and would be driving the vehicle back to Wisconsin. The vehicle had been on their lot for 102 days so I wanted to see if they would be able to negotiate the price so ****** had his sales manager, Don, call me to talk about pricing. Don was surprised that they would have listed this vehicle for the $29,549 shown on their website and told me that if I don't purchase the vehicle, that he would raise the price but would still honor the $29,549 to me. After discussions with ****** and Dan on Tuesday morning, 9/5 at 10:35AM, we agreed to purchase the vehicle. ****** asked for my drivers license to be sent over, which I promptly sent. In the meantime, I purchased a one way ticket from Appleton, WI to Cleveland, OH for Friday, 9/8 . I hadn't seen the purchase agreement by the end of day on 9/5 , so I called and emailed multiple times on 9/6 with no response from either *** or ******. I called the general sales number for the dealership and spoke with both ***** (on the phone) and ****** (via text message) and both stated that the vehicle is pending sold with my name on it and ****** had me down for an appointment to pick up the vehicle on 9/8 between 3PM - 4PM. End of day on 9/6, I still hadn't received a call or email with the purchase agreement. I texted ****** on 9/7 and she said she was working on getting the agreement and that she reminded ****** and would have him call. He emailed me stating the car had been sold already on Tuesday. Called ****** and he said he would have *** call me. No call. I called *** finally and he would not honor anything discussed in our previous conversations. I am now out of pocket over $300 for a plane ticket. Bad business practices here.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The dealerships response is inaccurate as coming from out of state was discussed on day one per my new email attachment. The fact that ***, the sales manager, indicated to me that he would rather sell at auction than to me because “I can get more at auction but I will still honor the price” indicated that they had no intention of selling me the vehicle.

The customer could have avoided the vehicle being sold to someone else by choosing to use one of our lenders. Instead, the customer decided to purchase a plane ticket and the customer refused to secure the vehicle by financing through one of our many national lenders. We informed the customer that if they went through our financing lenders that in the future they could refinance with their lenders and it was beneficial for them to do this as we don’t hold vehicles for anyone with “money down”, and that we are first come - first serve. The outcome is unfortunate, and we hope the customer finds a different vehicle that serves them well.Initial Complaint
