Hello, My name is ******* *******. I am writing to file a complaint against Diamond Ridge Construction, ***** ******** *** ******** ******** ** ****** ************* ***** ************* for not fore filling our contract in the time specified and refusing to refund the deposit $2,000. The contract was to replace a back entry door at our Church , **** ***** ***** *** ****** ** ****** We had previously done business with them in the past with no problems. I informed Brian that the work had to be completed by mid October in time for our State Convention. After repeated calls and Txt's, the answer was always "I'll do it next week". The one-time Brian did txt me was at 4:30pm on a Thurs. saying he would be there Friday morning. I could not find anyone on short notice to open the door, but offered to go early, unlock and leave the lights on. Brian said he would do it next week. I offered to give him the name and phone number of one of the Deaconess who lives down the street, she could give him her key if it was a last minutes notice. 2 days before the Convention he asked for her info but never called her. I lost 12 hrs. pay (my job does not have any benefits or paid time off) waiting at the Church because he said he'd be there. I'm not looking to harm his business or reputation and would really rather not have to file a Civil Claims Suit. All I'm asking for is the deposit, which he doesn't want to refund because he said he already has the door. If he has a receipt he should have been able to return it. I've attached a few of the txt messages but can provide them all if needed. Thank you for any assistance you can give us. I hired Diamond Ridge through Angi 3/21/23. My project is still not done, home is damaged, I had already paid $35162.36 in total by the time i asked Brian S**** to fix the errors and damages DRC caused 10/6/2023. Based our contract $12,336.05 worth of labor and material was completed (not considering damages) I asked for a refund of $22,826.31. On 10/20/2023 Brian S**** emails me a total estimation of costs $24,220.15, refund of $10,942.21. When i disagreed, 11/1/2023 Brian S**** is now claiming $26,807.93 total costs of labor and material was completed , refund of $8,354.43. In summary, increased costs compared to our contract, added costs outside of the scope of work agreed upon, added material not needed for the project (dropped off a 36"x60" window at my house that is not for my project and is charging me for it), and services not performed or delivered. 11/2/2023 I provided documented proof from our contract, pictures of work performed, and Brian S**** has ignored the evidence provided that contradicts his inflated and added costs. Refusal to refund.

November 29th, 2022 I gave $10,400 to Diamond Ridge Construction Company as a down payment for a home remodeling project. The entire cost was to be about $41,000, or about 25%. They have done nothing; they have not completed drawings for me to approve although I have seen some incomplete or incorrect ones; they have not submitted any requests for permits to the city; they have not purchased any materials. When I recently requested to them that they refund my money they indicated they would only give me 80% . I feel that they negated the contract by failing to do anything. I am requesting a full refund.

Hired Diamond Ridge Construction to remodel and upstairs bedroom and 1/2 bath to become a full bath and walkin closet. Dealings began in December 2022 with work scheduled for March 2022. Paid business 60% of job in the amount of $16,598 (30% at signing and 30% upon first date work began). Entire work was supposed to be completed in 4-6 weeks. March 14th work was to begin and got pushed back a week the day before per Diamond Ridge and rescheduled for March 21st, March 21st noone showed up, called office and they said I was not on schedule but would come out the following day. March 22nd Mark and a "new" project manager showed up and I pretty much had to start the entire process over again as far as what was to be done. Workers came out from 10-3 and started demo, 2 days later they came back out from 10-3 and did some framing. As of May 1st no other work had been done, only several outsourced plumbers doing estimates for Diamond Ridge in regards to plumbing (at this time we had been without a second bathroom and our upstairs in total chaos for 5 weeks so we told them it become obvious that they could not finish this job as promised and requested money back. Thomas and Mark both have emailed stating they would be working on processing refund but I have yet to hear anything (this is now going on 3 weeks) trying to get my money back. Very unacceptable and now once again I have to start over while looking at a half demo job and no upstairs bathroom. During all this and other outsourced folks coming through I missed hours of work at last minutes to accommodate their schedule, we hired them in good faith and with high hopes only to be very let down. I am in hopes they will issue refund sooner than later as they said they would to make things right.

We did have this project set up to do at a earlier date we had the trades lined up to complete the job in the allotted time frame. We had our project manager working on this in January, had drawings done and was ready to start, we had demo and a plumber lined up, but unfortunately that did not work with the homeowners schedule. We did not have a specific start date in the contract and always try to start as soon as possible.  When we were finally allowed to start we demoed and framed the area but had lost our plumber for that project. We did our best but it was difficult to have people look at the job as we were only able to access the jobsite after scheduling a week in advance per the homeowner request. The PM stayed in constant contact with the homeowner and after a couple weeks lined up a plumber to complete the project after being advised the plumber would start the homeowner asked to be let out of the contract the day before. We will let Mr Smith out of her contract, but we do charge for the time and material we had into the project, that pdf is attached. I also believe this may have something to do with a PM and a sub-contractor we had to fire, they are going around slandering the company and trying to take our work, they are currently being sued for their actions.

     Regards

Diamond Ridge is making it seem as though scheduling is my issue, truth is project was scheduled for March 14th in which they pushed back a week, then the new day to start noone showed up and was told someone would be out following day, once arrived I had to start entire process over again with a new project manager. They did demo that day (wedenesday) then came back friday to frame. No workers ever returned to my home since this date only speratic last minute appointments with project manager searching for plumbers. Now I am being told an outrageous amount to include a commission, profit and overhead???

I am still in hopes of agreeing on a reasonable refund amount from which I deposited.

    Regards,

I was looking for an addition to be built onto my home to accommodate my growing family. ***** ***** from Diamond Ridge construction reached out, came and sold me on the job. I signed a contract on 6/20/22 in which I put a $5,000 deposit down. Next steps was getting drawings submitted and approved by my cities building department. I kept reaching out for updates and would either get "he's out of the office" or no response at all. He contacted me when permits were approved in late August (per the contract work was to begin 30 days once permits were approved). Brian stated that we were slated for mid/late September to begin work. Mid September came around so I began reaching out again to ask for updates since no-one had been in touch. October 6th he stated we would begin building in 3 weeks and that a project manager would be in touch the following week to start planning. Oct. 16th came around and I said no-one has been in touch and if he can't do the work then refund the deposit so I can get someone that is willing to do the work. Nov 6th- still no-one reached out to us to even begin project planning and since the last communication he should have started building at this point. Nov 7th- I finally heard from *****, and scheduled to have her come out to the house Nov 11th - and she never showed. Nov 16th - Brian sent over a refund breakdown per my request, I asked for receipts to prove the amount of work that has been put in because it is not matching the price I had gotten from the cities building dept. At this point, I am over reaching out to him and his company time and time again and getting ignored. I think he sells these jobs and does this on purpose to pocket a quick buck. He is in breach of the contract because he did not begin work 30 days from when the permit was signed. He also uses his other "non profit" companies to write this companies material taxes off on. FRAUD.

Diamond Ridge signed a contract with ********, and was having to finance her due to the fact she couldn't get financed through any bank. She was in breach of contract when she failed to make her monthly payments of $250. She was supposed to start these the following month once the contract was signed. Drawings and permits were sent to the city, which they have up to 30 days to approve or send back for any corrections that need to be made. Also drawings had to be submitted once approved to the review board for approval. Due to weather and supplies we had to wait until November to start her job. She then told us that she wanted to cancel and get her money back. A detailed invoice of costs of what was spent was sent to her and she still wanted to proceed. Then once we were able to proceed with the job and she had been in contact with the project manager she wanted to cancel the project again. All permits, drawings and plans were completed at this time. We had been in contact with her throughout the whole process. Our office hours are 8-4 Monday-Friday and every attempt was made to meet but they could only meet in the evening and wouldn't come to the office. At this point we are returning her money minus the permit fees, architectural drawings, registration fees and administration fees once she signs the termination agreement. He does use his non-profit to write-off material taxes for VETERAN clients ONLY which is not FRAUD.
