I bought the car on Tuesday February 25th 2025. I bought it exactly at 3:47 pm in the sum of $3,510. The exact same day I bought the car at 7:33 pm my transmission went out on the car. My 1 year old son was in the car with me went the ****** went out. I contacted the man that I bought the car from at 6:26 am on Wednesday February 26th 2025. He told me to get the car to the lot and he would fix my car for me and while he was fixing it he was gonna put me in another vehicle for $1000 while my car was being fixed and when it was done he was going to give me my $1000 back and I was gonna switch back into my car. My car wouldnt even make it to the lot so I called him and I told him what was going on and he had my car towed to the lot. When we got there he didnt have the car he thought he had and he wanted more than a $1000 for it and I told him no. Yesterday he started saying he never received the money from his boss that I paid them for the car and he didnt have the money to get it fixed and now wants me to pay $300 for the car to be fixed after he said he was going to fix it for me. I do have 2 witnesses that he said that out of his own mouth. He also admitted to us he knew there was an issue with the ******. He admitted that he had already bought another vehicle exact same model so he could switch the transmissions before I bought the car but his mechanic was trying to save him money and didnt do the job. All the did was clean the exhaust and change the transmission fluid but didnt actually fix the transmission. Hes also now trying to say because I didnt pay the full price for the vehicle hes not paying for the car to be fixed when I told him thats not my problem. His coworker is the one that charged me $3000 for the car and after the fees and everything it came up to $3510. I told his coworker the car was $3800 and I was asking why they didnt charge me the full price and he even admitted there was a misunderstanding and is trying to put the blame on meInitial Complaint

January 8, 2025, I purchased a 2011 **** Fushion for $2,400 from Global Auto Leasing. After a test drive and deeming that the car was suitable, we went forward with the transaction. However, never during the transaction was I told to take the car to a mechanic to get it checked out, and the advertisement said that the car Runs and drives great. I was also never told about any problems with the car or given any diagnostic about it before purchasing. After about a week and a half, the car stalled out on me twice and after getting a diagnostic on my own, found that there was thousands of dollars worth of issues with the car. Today, January 29, the battery in the vehicle has also turned up dead, leaving me without a vehicle currently. After calling Global Auto Leasing, they notified me that there is nothing that they can really do. They also stated that they tell every customer to take the car to a mechanic, which I was not told to do upon purchasing the vehicle.Initial Complaint

I got a car from them, they did not give me my title within the time line allow by law. which entitles me to a full refund. They did not owe the car at the point they sold it to me. also entitles me to a full refund. they repo the car, when we had an payment agreement. After having The 2005 Escape I have discovered this is vehicle is not safe. If I hit a bump it’s going to collapse. It will buckle. The body will cave in. The Subframe is rusted through. It’s 2 different separate pieces. It’s not structurally safe to drive. I also was told the 2005 Escape that is not structurally safe to drive? The Tech found the frame of the vehicle severely rusted and cannot be lifted. Left rear shock tower almost non existent Advise customer not able to suggest a place for repair and may have to junk vehicle and suggest do not drive for safety.Business Response

I recently bought a car from the car lot Global Auto Leasing located at **** ***** **** ** ********** **. I made a down payment on the car and not even two weeks later the vehicle shut off on me and my son at NIGHT ! While driving. I haven’t even Started to make payments yet and the car is already not able to be driven anymore ! Me and my son were stuck on the side of the free way at night ! We never set up a customer for service and all customers are able to take cars in for inspection prior to buying. We do offer service contracts at additional charges for these situations which consumer declined. Unfortunately we’re not willing to assist at this time. I am financing a vehicle with global auto and was told I had a 30 day warranty anything transmission and engine free of charge to fix. I purchased the vehicle 11/18/2023 and the car completely stopped running 12/12/2023, less than 30 days. I’ve contacted the dealership over 3 times with no help and after a few times they stop answering the phone or would just simply hang up on me. My loan is for $12,000 which is a lot of money for the car to stop working. Global auto is not doing anything to make it right I also called the loan company and was told I had to go through the dealership. I do not feel I should have to stay in this loan for a car I can’t drive . I want to get out of the loan and give the car back as though is it not driveable. I’ve contacted ****** in which is the guy who sold me the vehicle, personal phone and no response. I asked several times if the dealer could check the car because the check engine light was on. I was told over the phone, in person and also through text message that they would scan and check the vehicle and they never did. The vehicles has been to them once since purchased for a repair that honestly didn’t get fixed that had nothing to do with why the vehicle stopped running. When they were suppose to fix the “sway bar links” on the vehicle there was no paperwork, feedback or communication on how the repair went or even if they did the repair. I had to contact them several times to ask if my vehicle repair was finished in which I didn’t get a call back or text until after the dealership closed. Once I did receive the call, I was told that the vehicle will be sitting on the dealer lot UNLOCKED with the key hidden inside of the gas door… not professional not trying to help me out or work with me. I am rejecting this response because: nothing was repaired on my vehicle. The same day I got the vehicle back from being in there possession for over a week the car shut off and did the same thing it was doing when I asked if they could repair the car. I’ve gotten parts fixed on the vehicle myself and I am still having problems with the vehicle shutting off and not working. This vehicle is not worth the price I am paying!

I am rejecting this response because: the business response is not true . My car has not been back to that business. NOTHING WAS FIXED the two times they claimed to have repaired it last year. I’m not sure why the business said my vehicle was brung back in and is repaired because it is not repaired nor did they contact me to repair it.

We did repair the vehicle, these cars are sold as is no warranty. we did repair the problem that she was complaining about as a curtosy. One of our employees even drove the car overnight to make sure her issue was resolved.She also never contacted us after she picked it up to say the car was still having the issue.The time for us to honor any repairs has expired. I put a payment down on a 08 Jeep, not even 2-3 hours later the car would not start, I was told by an employee of theirs “******” that if any issues occurred with in 24-48 hrs i could bring the vehicle back for them to look at it and fix the issue, that is exactly what i did it, i told them i would like my refund they said they do not buy cash cars back but it is not a cash car when i still have a payment to put down and no title, now they are trying to give me the run around on fixing it I also have recorded conversations as well as reviews from people that has had the exact same issue! sounds like this company is ripping people off, they then said they did a prime test and that it could be the fuel pump going out and that if they would have known that the fuel pump was going out it would not have been set out to be sold, which lets me know they do not do proper evaluations on their vehicles also when i first told them of the issue the general manager said “well a few of our guys have been driving it everyday and never had the issue!!!! My question to them is why are you putting miles and damages, also ware and tare on cars that are marked to be sold which brings the cars value down! ****** then stated well give us a chance to fix it and it would be ready Monday i said ok, he then tells me that the mechanic that looked at my car needed a second opinion from another mechanic on what the issue could be which tells me they have no clue as to what they are doing but now they are acting like they’re doing me a favor when in all reality its their fault i am even experiencing this! I bought this vehicle to get to and from work and to get my kids to and from school excepting it to be reliable but now i have to pay people gas money to give me rides to and from work so im loosing more money on top of this! I am rejecting this response because:
The vehicle is still having the same issue which i called the company to let them know that and they have done nothing else to fix it, the throttle body which they got from the junkyard was not the issue and they are aware of that i have recorded calls from each conversation I have had with them and videos of the vehicle doing the same thing on top of that they put an additional 50 miles the vehicle which i have proof of if i need to take this to court with everything that i have i will! All i ask is for them to fix the non starting issue that they promised they would do, i already had to replace the water pump as well as the radiator on the vehicle, they need to fix the non-starting issue instead of keep guessing like they have been doing! they had my car for nearly 2 weeks and it still isnt fixed their worker even stated they have unreliable mechanics, I have proof of everything, I just want my car fixed or my money back!

We were told cars get checked out before they sell them. They have a mechanic on site. We purchased a 2012 Subaru legacy with a lot of miles on it. I repeatedly ask the manager and salesman there is anything wrong with the car. I took the car to get an oil change right after the purchase June 11th. Right after the oil change my wife drove to Meijer that is right next door to the car wash. The car overheated and had leaked antifreeze We towed the car to a mechanic that couldn't find the leak. We towed the car back to the dealer and he said it was just too much radiator fluid from the oil change top off.. The mechanic at the dealer said the car was fine and so we drove it off. A Couple days later my son took the car to work and the car overheated and steamed. A few days later I took the car to a second mechanic and he said it looked like a blown head gasket. I took it to a third mechanic who said the issue was a blown head gasket and went on to say a few more disturbing things that I uploaded some of which. He said whoever sold the car knew it had a blown head gasket because they just replaced the water pump and had put bars leak into the car. This company I watch very closely. They get cars off of the auction and the mechanic fixes what needs to be fixed. Salesman and manager ***** has told me multiple times because this is (the second car I have purchased from him) that they checked the cars out before selling them and will let you know if there's something wrong. ***** was selling the car for his friend, at least that's what he said more than one time. The mechanic said whoever sold the car knew it had a head gasket problem because of what they already tried to fix. He said if it's a mechanic put that bars leak into the system that would be grounds to terminate a mechanic's license. Two of the three mechanic said the dealer should give the money back for the car. We have called daily but they just say they will call back and do not return the calls.Business Response

The cars we offer for sale we do tell consumers if known what issues maybe wrong with car and every customer is aloud to take a car to their mechanic or bring mechanic with them to inspect. We don’t add any stop leaks additives to hide issues. Customer did test drive and looked at before buying which must have been happy at time to buy and known car is as-is no warranty applied. Bought a car off of lot, car didn’t have any oil in engine they put a couple of quarts of oil in the engine but motor won’t hold oil at all car has blown motor where it won’t hold oil before they sold the car to me
