on January 25, 2025,I went to Turbo ***********************, **** for a one time car wash. I chose the ultimate wash option with wax and everything. So I was charged $49 and I thought this was the price for this expensive car wash. I never intended to get a membership. I never thought they would sign me up for one without my asking! So I signed the receipt and drove awayI never knewI automatically signed up for a membership!On March 25, 2025 I saw a recurring charge coming from Turbo Wash on my bank account. Then I went back and I found out was also charged in February 2025! This alarmed me so I went to Turbo Wash for explanation they told me I signed up for the ! I know I shouldve read before I signed, but I was driving. The weather was bad. I did not think I wouldve been scammed like ! I talk to the management. They refused my allegations and said they will not refund me, but they will stop my membership as of Today, March 25, 2025, but it will still be valid until the next payment which is not gonna be taken from my account on April 5, 2025. I am just very upset. I wouldve utilized the car washes through that time if I had known! I want my $147 back minus the price of a car wash.Business Response

Ms. *****, we apologize for your negative experience. As stated to you previously, on 1/25/2025 you visited our Turbo Wash Car Wash Bethel location and purchase our monthly ceramic for the total of $49.00. As stated on the supplied signed receipt by you that you understood that the monthly membership is an automatic monthly reoccurring charge. That will remain in force until you cancel giving a seven day prior notice. We have no records of you contacting us to cancel your monthly ceramic car wash membership.
I have viewed your wash history as well showing you have utilized the wash on multiple occasions for more than one month. It shows wash usage on the following days 1/25/25, 3/13/25, 3/25/25, and on 3/26/25.
Based on your account information and signed receipt you agreed to this membership and not eligible for any refund.
Once again we apologize for any inconvenience and you have until 4/24/2025 to utilize the wash.
We appreciate your business!

The business statement about how many times I had car washes is not true! I only came into their business twice: I first came on 1/25/2025 for a one time car wash. I never requested the membership! When I signed, I thought the signature was for credit card payment. I never came for car wash afterwards. When I realized they were taking money every month, on 3/25/2025, I went there for second time. I told them about the issue and they forwarded it to a ******* *****. I decided to get a car wash, and offered to pay for that one visit. The person at car wash told me since the issue is still pending and I "have that Membership", that I may get a free car wash. Next day, ******* emailed me giving wrong statements about the visits I had to car wash and refused my dispute accordingly. I demand $140 to be credited back to my account!Customer Answer

Ms. *****, as previously stated we apologize for your negative experience. On 1/25/2025 you visited our Turbo Wash Car Wash ****** location and purchased our monthly ceramic for the total of $49.00. We have large LED signs that display the pricing for individual washes and the monthly reoccurring packages. At the pay station on the screen it also displays these prices and you as a customer select what will work best for you. On the signed receipt it states clearly that it is a monthly reoccurring charge. We have no records of you contacting us to cancel your monthly ceramic car wash membership.

I drove into the carwash on 1/25/2025 requesting a one-time carwash. I handed him my credit card. The associate never told me that I will be buying a membership. When the associate handed my the receipt to sign, I signed thinking it was the signature for using credit card as I normally do. I never thought they sold me an ongoing membership! That was a bad communication and discrepancy on their part! And then, to add to the problem of miscommunicating, they made up "dates" of carwashes I have never made, without providing any proof that it was my car being washed on the alleged dates! I am very disappointed with their service and will not recommend them to anyone!Initial Complaint

On 1-25-2025, while on the Turbo Car Wash rolling conveyor belt, I placed by vehicle in neutral like I done at least 20 times before with no issues. While rolling through the car wash on the conveyor belt, my vehicle started to roll faster eventually slightly bumping the vehicle ahead of me. The entire conveyor halted and an attendee came to my driver's side window and apologized and asked me to drive around to the other side of the car wash to file a complaint which both me and the other driver done. Neither vehicle had damage at the location. Neither of the drivers had injuries however, on 1-26-2025, the manager contacted me via phone to tell me that their business was not liable because all equipment seemed to be working at the time, which I dispute. I retrieved my dash cam video of the incident. In addition, I asked the manager who contacted me to ask his supervisor to give me a call which he said that he could and would not have him call me. This businesses customer service *****, and they have faulty equipment. I cancelled my membership that day. I asked for the mangers first name, which he would not provide. I asked him for his employee number which he stated that employees do not get employee numbers. He would only provide me with a general contact number for customer service which I googled and it was the same number he was calling from. This business is subpar, and there are better businesses out there that customers should research and become members. I will never be part of this car wash membership again. Thanks for NOTHING & SUBPAR CUSTOMER SERVICE.Initial Complaint

An ad pulled up on Instagram in which a deal was offered for three months of any car wash for $10 per month with an expiration date of October 6. I entered my information to redeem this coupon as well as screenshot the deal. I went to the location, pulled up and asked what specials they had. I was told the only special they were presently having was one month for $10. The manager indicated that this was the only promo at the time. I then asked about the three months for $10 a month promo. He stated that one did not exist.I then pulled out my smart phone and showed him what I had. He looked at it and told me that it did not apply. We went back-and-forth a couple of times at which time I told him that it clearly states that I got the first three months of membership for $10 per month. He said why would we do that going into winter when we get all our business? I told him I did not know, the only thing I knew was that this ad was from their site. He said he would not honor it. I had a regular car wash and proceeded to leave. I have since made reviews on ****** the Better Business Bureau and Im now filing this complaint. I responded to an ad from this company and at the time of service was denied the promotional deal.Initial Complaint

On July 31, 2024 I took my car to Turbo Wash ***********************************************. A left side molding piece of my 2016 ****** Maxima was ripped off the car inside the car wash. An employee retrieved the piece for me. I took my car and the piece to a local auto body shop to be put back on. Turns out it could not be reattached. An new molding piece was needed at a cost of $375.00 and the car was repaired on August 1. I immediately returned to Turbo Wash with my receipt and asked for reimbursement. Turbo Wash says they will not pay for the damage. Turbo ****************************** incident report #******.Business Response

Two points;
1-The vehicle is a 2016 ****** Maxima Platinum edition with ****** miles and in excellent condition
2-The sign (see attached jpeg) is very small, light print barely readable AND past the place where clients pays. There is no way to turn around and leave.

The date the damage occurred was 7/31/24. I notified the employee at that time. The employee then retrieved the damage part from inside the car wash. She did not complete a incident report. I went back the next day and completed the report and provided photos. I also emailed the photos to the email address given to me by the employee. The employee even helped with the email process.
We purchased the vehicle new in 2016, the purchase price was @$36,000.
Requested remedy;
1- payment for the $375 repair bill
2-post a bigger more readable sign before the pay station
3-post the what Turbo Wash is not responsible on the sales flyer that is handed out.
4-Sales person should make the customer aware of those limitations at the time of the monthly package purchase.
5-At the time of a claim incident, the employee on duty should let the customer know and help complete the incident report.

**** ************ ****** Rd. *************. OH ********** May 10, 2024 On 4/27/2024, we stopped at Turbo Wash at 2051 Ikea Way in Columbus, Ohio to have my car washed. When we next stopped at a service station to get gas, we noticed that the rear windshield wiper was gone. Upon closer examination, we saw that the wiper assembly had been snapped off. I called the car wash on Monday and was told that yes, there were two wipers there and that we could come and get mine. My son-in-law called Byers Subaru to find out how much it would cost for the part. He was told that it would be $77 plus tax for the part. That didn't include reattaching it to the car which we figured would be at least $50. I called the car wash and told her what it would get cost and she told me to come in and fill out a Customer Service Report. We went back on 4/5/2024 and filled out the report. She took pictures of the wiper assembly and said we would hear something within 48 hours. I received a phone call on 4/6 from a gentleman who told me that they would not pay for the damage because my car was 10 years old! What did the age of the car have to do with it? The car is in very good condition and has less than 45,000 miles on it. I asked him why I was expected to pay over $100 to fix something that the car wash had broken? He questioned why a new wiper blade would cost so much and I told him that the piece which holds the blade was broken. Obviously, it's not the first time that has happened at the car wash since the lady that I first talked to said there were two wipers there. I feel that they should pay to have the wiper assembly replaced. **** *** *****Business Response

Ms. *****, We apologize for your negative experience. As mentioned previously in the determination of your alleged damage, Turbo Wash Car Wash is not liable for vehicle over 10 years old and for windshield wipers. The 10 year policy exist at all of our managed sites and displayed prior to wash tunnel entrance for several reasons. Vehicles over 10 years old can have external and internal wear and tear on the vehicle including the integrity of the parts of the vehicle and the brittleness of parts such as a windshield wiper arm. Brittleness is a material property that describes its tendency to fracture with little to no plastic deformation when stress is applied to it. Vehicle wear and tear includes any damage to your car's internal or external systems resulting from normal vehicle usage. After viewing your wash the rear windshield wiper was intact throughout the entire wash process, the wash functioned as intended, there were no reported malfunctions for that day. The rear wiper came off at the drying process. No wash equipment physically touched your vehicle to cause the removal of the wiper. Parts of a vehicle becoming removed during the drying process (which is the air dry) shows pre existing damage had to be present in order for air to remove a "secured" windshield wiper. The wiper was not secured properly, if the pre- existing damage was not present no additional damage would have occurred. We will not be taking liability for your Customer Experience Report for the above reasons. Once again we apologize for your negative experience and appreciate your business.Initial Complaint

on 4/15 went to car wash on my lunch break. during the carwash my inward turned passenger rear view mirror cover was hit or otherwise damaged during the car wash. It is only the cover that came off and landed inside the carwash. the mirror and lights still are in working condition however the wires are now exposed. I filed a customer incident report, the attendant took pictures, I received a voice mail from the Assistant manager stating they are choosing to decline liability. for the damage sustained on 4/15. All I want is the cover put back on my mirror. I am not asking for a new mirror.Business Response

I took my car through the car wash, and they dented the side of my 2023 Dodge RAM truck. I went to the car wash to tell them, and they are refusing to fix the damage caused by the car wash. I have their monthly membership, which I intend to cancel. The cost to repair will have to be covered through my insurance. They should be liable for the damage that their car wash caused to my truck.Business Response

Mr. *****, we apologize for your negative experience. The claims that our Turbo Wash caused dents on your vehicle are false. Your Customer Experience Report filed on site on 2/13/2024 was thoroughly investigated. Your last wash at our car wash was on 2/07/2024. You did not file a damage claim until several days after your last wash. When our Customer Service Specialist spoke with you on 2/15/2024 to inform you of the determination, she also offered to send you a photo of your vehicle exiting our tunnel at your last wash on 2/7/2024 with no damage to your vehicle. The damage to your vehicle took place between the time you left our wash tunnel to when you discovered the damage. You denied receiving these photos via email, that shows evidence that no damage was present at the time of exiting our wash location. Our wash does not have the capability to cause dents as our wash brushes are not abrasive and are made of a soft material called neoprene. Neoprene has the feel of a yoga mat. The dents on the side of your vehicle could have been caused by a variety of different things. Driving your vehicle down the road exposes your vehicle to various elements and objects such as gravel. I have attached the photo of your vehicle exiting our wash tunnel. We apologize for any negative experience but I assure you that our soft material brushes did not cause various small dents on the side of your vehicle. Please contact us shall you like to make any changes to your account. Thank you for your business.Initial Complaint

First time using this car wash, single wash purchased 1/21/24. Truck in front of me claims they got stuck on the belt at the tire shine. My van was pushed into the truck, I was unable to stop on the belt. Only causing damage to my van because the truck had a tow hitch which caused damage to my grille and behind it. Myself and the driver of the truck filled out incident reports. Car wash contacted me letting me know they are not liable because: it happened inside the bay, their footage showed driver of truck brake throughout wash, and they have a sign stating to drive at the end. Told me I can have my insurance go after the trucks insurance. The damage to my van was no fault of my own. My own dash cam footage shows him a clear distance away, truck rocking back & forth at the tire shine, and not braking until I hit his truck to put his truck in drive. Left a google review and they claim corporate would contact me. No voicemail or email. They have photos of my damage they took themselves so I will not be attaching them. It’s not right that I have to make a claim on my insurance, pay a deductible, AND have my insurance surge for 5-7 years.Business Response

Ms. ******, we apologize for your negative experience. During the investigation it was determined Turbo Wash Car Wash was not liable for any damages that occurred on 01/21/24. The customer in front of your vehicle did not experience any malfunction on our end. The wash operated as it should. The customer failed to shift gear from neutral to drive as indicated by our instructional sign at the end of the wash. The customer also admitted to remaining in neutral at the end of the tunnel in the Customer Experience Report filled on 01/21/24. This can be seen in video surveillance as well. Turbo Wash Car Wash cannot be held liable for driver error. The Corporate Office did contact you as requested and you spoke with a Customer Service Specialist that informed you the reason for our decision. Filing an insurance claim can possibly assist in the repair of your vehicle. You have a right to pursue that if you feel it is in your best interest. We do not provide advice on how to proceed if our investigation proves we are not liable. We informed you that if you decide to file an insurance claim against the customer liable we will assist with providing video footage, photos, and documentation to your insurance company. If you wish to pursue the customer liable directly we would be more than happy to assist you with the contact information of the customer. We appreciate your business and we would like to send you free wash cards to utilize in the future, please let me know if you are interested in receiving those. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience and your negative experience.Initial Complaint

They have a recurring payment to go through it. I initially deleted my account as I switched cards. Within two minutes I was charged twice. Then I went to to their location, adn spoke with a representative, and he attempted to cancel it for me. He couldn't do it, but said he would contact corporate and that he had seen the issue before.
Today, I called corporate, adn spoke to a Customer Service Rep, and she said their system has to expire out after 14 days. I said I didn't want it to hit my credit card and overdraw it again. Her response was that my account had gone into delinquency and therefore, nobody could cancel the card. She kept saying it has to expire out.
Capital One took care of the charges, but I need them to cancel my account.

Mr. ********, as the Customer Service Representative informed you your account was in decline card status. Most likely as you mentioned a card change, due to failure to update your card information for your monthly reoccurring charge. As stated on your signed receipt as well as online at our website, you must contact us at least 7 days prior to your recharge date in order to cancel or make any changes to your account. Due to your failure to update your credit card information the payment declined. Our payment system continues to attempt to collect your monthly membership fee as authorized for up to 14 business days. As I am sure you know that most subscription services follow this payment outline in attempt to collect the authorized payment. If the payment is unsuccessful your account will expire out and your account will cancel. Reviewing your account, Turbo Wash Car Wash did not receive two payments from you. The last payment we received was on 12/02/23 for the amount of $29.00. If we received an updated credit card or your cancellation request 7 days prior to your renewal as stated in our terms and conditions our system would not of attempted payment after the December membership payment was received. We provided all of this information over the phone to you on 1/4/24 and we requested that you contact us in order to provide you with an update on the status of your monthly membership. We could of informed you of your account status and provided a written confirmation gladly. We have not received a call or email from you after that date. Your account expired out as of 1/17/24 due to failure to collect payment. Your account is cancelled. Thank you for your business.
