  This company is horrible! I have had AHW for 5 years and I have used them on 3 occasions. They approved for a new washer after the first contractor sent to look at the washer disappeared so they sent another contractor. In the meantime I went ahead and purchased a new washing machine. They reimburse pd me $350 for the new washing machine. I recently filed a claim for my air conditioner on 7/24/23. They sent a contractor on 7/25/23 and he determined that I needed a leak detection test done for $300, plus the $65 deductible. I paid him $365 and he determined that there was a leak and the unit needed to be replaced. He said he would submit the leak detection report to AHW within 48 hours. AHW has denied receiving the report and determined that the claim is non- covered because they have not received the leak detection test yet. Since 7/24, I have spoken with AHW on 5 occasions regarding the status of the claim. They have informed me each time that they cannot do anything with the claim until the contractor submits the leak detection report and he has not been responsive to AHW or myself. I sent an email Complaint to AHW on 8/18 and still have not received a response. I spoke with Esteban today about cancellation of my policy and he advised me that there would be $100 cancellation fee and I would receive $28 back on my contract that expires on 1/25/2025. He stated that they were giving me extra months on my contract because I paid upfront- so they were taking the additional months back. Esteban - and all of the 5 other representatives that I spoke with were very Rude and disrespectful! This company does not deserve my business- and in my opinion no one else’s business- because they are a fraud and very disrespectful and non responsive to customer complaints. I would give AHW Home Warranty a big fat 0 star if I could! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! Also noticed they are NOT BBB accredited so they probably don’t care about bad reviews.

  This warranty company is a joke. I was under the assumption that one should be notified if a company is no longer working with customers in advance. I was not given the opportunity to pick up another warranty company. They discontinued my warranty without notification stating that they no longer work with customers in Texas.

  While trying find out why my automatic payment wasn't going thru I found out that my conrtact with AHW has been terminated. The agent stated that it was due to no techs in my area. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SENT OUT NOTIFYING US OF THIS CANCELATION OF SERVICE. I asked for something in writing that states exactly when the contract ended and the agent stated they couldn't provide that info. I asked for something in writing that stated they no longer service my area, the agent stated they couldn't provide that info. I asked for a manager, the agent stated there wasn't one available. And no one answers in any of the other departments. I'm unsure of how long we've been without service. This is a totally unacceptable breech of contact in the part of AHW that needs to be addressed.

  Just tried to get service for a broken hot water heater. Imagine my surprise when they told me they were no longer serving my area and had stopped drafting my credit card for the service. I was not notified that this was going to happen. Looking back, I see that they did not draft in July or August. If I had been informed, I would have pursued a more reliable home warranty. Do not sign up for this. As others have said, previous work that was done was not reimbursed properly and I had to get my own plumbers. Not happy then and furious now.

  This company will tell you one thing on the phone and even send you an email confirming it but then does not follow through on their claims/contracts. We submitted a claim on July 28th. They had a technician come out. The technician is refusing to submit pictures so we are still without an air conditioner. When confronted the company has asked us to pay more to have someone else come out and are refusing to reassign the claim. They then told us that they are no longer servicing our area. We are going to have to get our air conditioning unit serviced separately which is going to cost us significant money. After we have paid them monthly without fail.

  This company AHW is a fraud ... always speaking to someone foreign that can't speak English worth anything then the times I tried to use them they don't have no one in this area.. so they adv me to get my own and that they would crdt back.. which was bull S .. then after doing so I had my transformer on my ac unit that went out.. nothing big they claimed that they would not cover it cause it had a Lil Corrosion in the pic.. then told me that they canx my service cause I was outta area and then when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied one cause i was no longer a member because they canx me lol.. boy this company here is one for the books....full of excuses other than taking your money and not paying out... DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A FRAUD

  After filing a claim on 7/5/23, AHW assigned me to a company they did not have contract with. It over a week to get reassigned with another company. This company's technician advised AHW that the repair could not be done as the parts were no longer available. On 7/28/23 I was told that my claim was suspended due to non payment even though I was on autopay. Next I was told the technician's report did not include the cause of the needed repair. I contacted the company and was sent a screenshot of their report update which stated the cause was due to normal wear and tear. After numerous calls with AHW I was informed today, 8/10/23 that my claim was denied due to my misuse and my contract was canceled due to AHW no longer doing business in Pennsylvania effective July. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was denied that as a am not a customer since my contract is canceled. After Estebaun, the person I was speaking with, stated it was fine when I told him I would file a complaint he hung up on me. I then received an email stating my contract was canceled effective today.

  Amazon Home Warranty is a joke. They stopped taking automatic payments 2 months ago, July & August. No communication at all, no one answers the phone, left message for billing, Jeff S*****, still waiting for a return call. I just want to cancel at this point.

  I payed for three years up front and canceled because they didn’t honor their contract, I was due a refund of $630.00, I received the check seven weeks later and I couldn’t cash it! I contacted them, they sent another check and guess what??? I couldn’t cash it!! What do I do???

  I would give zero if possible. I had AHW for 5 years. They’ve never covered anything 100%. They always have excuses. Yesterday, my dishwasher broke. Today I called to make a claim. According to the woman on the phone, the company’s billing service has been down at least three weeks. Because of this, ALL accounts are marked “past due”. A past due account can’t file a claim. So, according to the people I spoke to, no one is able to file a claim. I told them this is theft. They didn’t care. I cancelled my account with them immediately.
