Received a quote to paint the front of my home which is all the stucco and stone. Quote was for $750. The company came out and painted but wasnt detailed with the work. I had places that didnt get painted. Painting over and outside of the lines. The detail work was very poor. During painting they got paint on my porch (a large amount), paint on my vases in front of the house, paint on my security camera, There was dried dripping paint in certain areas. The paint was not even over the house. He was ******* when he did the job. He left the job site without letting me know he was finished. Sent me a bill for about $915. I immediately text and let them know I wasnt satisfied. I hear d back from them the following day. They offered to take some money off my bill or send a better painter out and fix what was wrong. I chose to have someone else come out to fix all the mistakes to the home. The person they sent said the job was more than he expected. I received a call from the company saying they needed to increase my amount owed to $1200 due to the price of the other painter. I explained this is not my problem and I shouldnt have to pay for their mistake. Its not my fault they are out of town and they had to send someone else to complete the work. I paid them $500 of $750 for a job that was not completed. I paid them $500 for messing up my porch, security camera, vase. The job was never completed. The company sent me an email stating I have 14 days to pay $250 or they would put a mechanical lien on my property. Then ask for the full $1200 amount that we never agreed on. Our contract says $750. Not sure how they can raise the price out of spite.

      Dear ***********************,

We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns regarding the exterior paint job performed on your house.

      1.INITIAL AGREEMENT AND WORK PERFORMED:
ORIGINAL BILL: *** initial bill for painting your house was $750.
ADDITIONAL WORK: You requested additional areas to be painted, increasing the total bill to $900. This agreement was documented and signed by you.

      2.ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE ISSUES:
FOLLOW-UP TOUCHUPS: Following your feedback, we promptly sent our painter to complete the touchups as per your request. However, you later declined these touchups and expressed that you did not want us to continue the project.

      3.USE OF OUR PAINTER:
UNAUTHORIZED WORK: Despite your request for us to stop, you proceeded to use our contracted painter independently to complete the work. This action prevented our painter from fulfilling other scheduled jobs that day.

      4.OUTSTANDING BALANCE:
TOTAL AMOUNT DUE: *** total agreed upon for the work was $900. Given the additional unauthorized work performed by our painter, the remaining balance on your bill is $700 including the $500 payment made.

NOTICE OF MECHANICS LIEN: We have informed you of our intent to place a mechanics lien on your property for the unpaid balance.

      5.LEGAL GROUNDS:
      MECHANICS LIEN: Under Ohio state

law, we have the legal right to file a mechanics lien for the unpaid balance of $700. This includes the original agreed amount and additional charges incurred due to the unauthorized use of our painter.

      6.CONCLUSION:
We value our customers and strive to provide satisfactory services. We regret that this situation has occurred and hope to resolve it amicably.
Please contact us to discuss payment arrangements or any further steps to avoid the filing of the lien.

Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,

      *********************;

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

      Complaint: 21960982

I am rejecting this response because: I do not owe the company anymore money.  Tech Savvy did not satisfactorily paint my house.  There was areas not painted, dripping paint, paint on my vase, painting outside the lines.  It was sloppily done.  Why am I supposed to pay for someone else to fix what they messed up.  There was no negotiation of price change from the original $750.  No other contract was signed for additional charges.  The only contract that was signed was ********* doing the work.  I paid Tech Savvy $500 of the $750 agreed upon.  They took a $250 loss because they didnt complete the job, sloppy work, and damage to property with paint.

      Regards,

Attached is the receipt from payment to Tech Savvy for $500.  Also, if we can not come to a resolution, I would prefer Tech Savvy to sue instead of the mechanics lean so we can end this in the eyes of the court.
