I trusted *******, the salesperson, and ****, the owner to take care of my daughter who drove FIVE HOURS to make a first major purchase of a car. After being repeatedly assured that my daughter was "in good hands" and that the "car was solid", my daughter drove her perfectly well running trade five hours to complete the transaction. At no point in our conversation did ******* inform me that the car will be sold "as is" and had my daughter sign paperwork to that end without my knowledge. Within EIGHT DAYS, the engine light came on and it ended up costing my young daughter, who just took out a $16K private bank loan, another $2K in repairs. She was also out a nice traded vehicle. There are laws governing reputable dealerships in my state and NY always offers some sort of limited warranty on used vehicles. So, this has prompted me to start the Better Business Bureau process as well as filing a complaint with Ohio's Attorney General. I politely encouraged ******* as well as the owner **** to assist her in some manner, even if it were to do the repair themselves or offer her partial financial assistance. They declined and demonstrated very little compassion with a response of "the car was sold "as is" and there is nothing we can do." As a business owner myself, I found this HIGHLY unethical. A further search of their social media demonstrated other customers who were treated poorly as well. The positive reviews seem to be fake. They knowingly sell cars with major problems with claims that the cars are "solid" and even offer up inspections that their own mechanics do. I asked ******* repeatedly if there would be any issues with the car and even informed him that we would expect a well running vehicle for the $16K they charged. They do not communicate ethically and if you do have any major issues with your purchased vehicle, even very early on, they will not assist you in any manner. This is NOT an ethical business.
