      Duct work was never finished in beginning of year. Waited several months for inspection when I notified them of the odors. Eventually just ordered additional service because of odors. Then second crew said everything was clean and offered to fog only and I said OK since they could not see debris. Later found debris they had actually taken a picture of w my phone (did not know camera was on) when I handed it to him, 3rd crew came out - saw all the debris sent photos to my phone - proceeded to clean but when I sai I could smell the dirt and told them to cover my registers they refused - They did not fog for the 3rd time and left without saying goodbye because they didn't want to finish. They had run a blower hose into my ducts to blow the debris - it should have been sucked out w their vacuum system. My house was coated in certain areas w debris. I sneezed brown dirt out my nose soon after they left, Called again over weekend - Monday - and Tuesday Nobody is doing anything and I can't have my furnace on - it snowed today. It's cold. Now they not only need to re- do the initial service but my furniture and newly painted walls and floors need cleaned. Stanley Steemer doesn't suck they BLOW!

      I spoke with ******** ******* regarding my hardwood floor cleaning appointment, and sent her these same pictures to show her the job was never completed. She asked if I'd like them to come back out and complete the job and I told her no because we ended up doing it ourselves. And after doing it ourselves, we hired another floor cleaning company to give it that professional clean look and shine that Stanley Steemer guys couldn't give us! I didn't hear from her since and thought the matter was taken care of. Imagine my surprise when I received a letter in the mail today from a collection agency trying to collect funds for a job that was never done. If this hit my credit, I will take them to court. Those men never completed the job. They were here waiting while we moved furniture and my daughter went to the store for them while they waited. And when they started, they said they couldn't get the floors clean. So I asked them to leave. And they left with no problem or bill. How dare y'all put my credit score at risk like this when I have been reachable by email and phone and I sent in pictures. They're a damn scam. They even tried charging me for a service when their guys never showed up!

      Date: 10/29/21 Amount paid: $273.00 I had Stanley Steemer come out to clean my Living room another section they considered not part of the living room and my stairs. In the end staff was unable to clean a high traffic stain and stated it was wear and not a stain. The next day another cleaning company came in and had no issue removing the stain. I called Stanley Steemer to issue a formal complaint and try to resolve my problems, but they stated they do not issue refunds and offered a credit. Why would I want a credit! I never want them in my house again!

      OCTOBER 23, 2021, I HIRED STANLEY STEEMER TO CLEAN 5 ROOMS AND A SET OF STAIRS, AT A COST OF $337. I HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST AND KNOW THAT THEY MOVE LARGE FURNITURE, SUCH AS LIVINGROOM AND BEDROOM FURNITURE AND THAT THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MOVING COLLECTIBLES, LAMPS, PLANTS. ETC. SO WHEN THE TWO TECHNICIANS ARRIVED I TOOK THEM BOTH THROUGH HOUSE AND TOLD THEM THAT THE ENTIRE ROOMS WERE TO BE CLEANED, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE BEDROOM, WHERE ONLY THE TRAFFIC AREA NEEDED CLEANING. WHILE THE WERE CLEANING UPSTAIRS, I WAITED DOWNSTAIRS. WHEN THEY BOTH CAME DOWNSTAIR, THEY BEGAN TO SHAMPOO THE LIVINGROOM AND DININGROOM. WHEN THEY FINISHED I CHECKED BEHIND MY FURNITURE AND FOUND THAT THEY INTENTIONALLY HAD NOT SHAMPOOED THE CARPET. SO WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THEIR ATTENTION THEY SHAMPOOED THE CARPET, HOWEVER, I HAD TO MOVE THE FURNITURE.AND I PAID THEM $337. THEY PROMPTLY LEFT MY HOUSE.THE PROBLEM IS UPSTAIRS IN MY MASTER BEDROOM AND LOFT THE DID NOT SHAMPOO THE ENTIRE FLOOR, THEY ONLY SHAMPOOED THE TRAFFIC AREA EVENTHOUGH I TOLD THEM THE ENTIRE FLOORS NEEDED SHAMPOOING. I PAID FOR THE ENTIRE ROOMS TO BE CLEANED BUT ONLY RECEIVED PARTIAL CLEANING I CALLED 1 800 783 3637 AND EXPLAINED MY ISSUES AND WAS TOLD THAT I COULD REQUEST A REFUND OR A 2ND CREW COULD COME TO MY HOME AND COMPLETE THE CARPET CLEANING.       When the local manager reached out, this customer was offered a recleaning at no charge. The customer declined the courtesy cleaning so she was offered a gift certificate so she could have it recleaned at her convenience. She declined this as well and ended the call with the manager.

      We feel that a reasonable attempt was made to address the customers concerns and therefor do not feel as if a refund is warranted at this time.

      On Saturday, August 21, 2021, Stanley Steamer came out to my home pursuant to a scheduled appointment to clean my upholstery and area rugs. I had submitted an online request to Stanley Steamer requesting a number of services. My online request was presented to me on a table by the technician upon arrival his arrival which I reviewed the scope of and verified. I then walked around my home with him and pointed out which pieces of furniture and which area rugs to clean. I also noted which items did not need to be cleaned. The technician also suggested additional disinfecting and suggested a rug pad, each of which I agreed to. He did not provide a quote for the additional disinfecting, but I agreed to it anyway. We had a few conversations throughout the cleaning, but there were no conversations about additional deodorizing or protectant to be applied to any of my upholstery or rugs. It did become clear to me that he had accidentally cleaned one upholstered bench that I had not asked him to clean in my guest room. As such the count was off, so he informed me that he “cleaned” my bench in my living room for free. In reality, he cleaned an extra bench by mistake in my guest room and that is why the count is off. When the technician completed his work, he presented me with the final invoice in the amount of $2,134.51. I was surprised to see that he had completed two services that I did not expressly request. He did not inform me that he was going to perform these additional services and he did not present me with a quote for such additional services. The total cost of these additional services is: $1,043.11. I was not comfortable disputing the invoice with him and was not certain that I could. He was in my home and I was alone. For your reference, please find attached my original order from Stanley Steamer (Exhibit A) and the final invoice (Exhibit B). I have circled the additional items I expressly authorized and have marked the items I did not authorize.

      On Sept 23, 2021 Stanley steamer came out to my house to do duct I took the pictures that night below they left a mess and didn’t really clean they left holes in ducts dust on floor vents on floor and skipped vents. When I got an estimate, they said they would vacuum and clean inside all vents and furnace disinfect vents put them back on and replace furnace filter. I never got a filter and by pictures below you can see how they left the house. I made a call the next day they were apologetic and sent out a crew the following week I sent in pictures to their customers relations and said they would review. they back and said it was clean. offered me a 100-dollar coupon for carpet cleaning. I am looking for a full refund I believe the job they promised was not done never got a filter the cleaning was not done right they skipped vents and left a mess in the process.       Please be advised we are in receipt of the above-referenced consumer complaint. With respect to the substance of the customer’s complaint, we feel that we have given this matter all due consideration, including a courtesy cleaning at no charge and a manager visit to inspect that cleaning.

      The manager did not find the conditions shown in the pictures provided by the customer, it appears that these pictures were, at the very least, taken prior to the recleaning. Upon the managers visit all concerns listed in this complaint had been addressed at the recleaning aside from the concern regarding the filter. This customer was informed by the manager himself at the time of the inspection that his filter size is not standard and that we do not carry that filter size so this would not be replaced as part of this service.

      We understand that having a second cleaning performed was an inconvenience to customer and is the reason that the local management offered a $100.00 gift certificate for their inconvenience.

      If it would better for the customer, we can send the $100.00 as a refund instead. However, we do not feel as is a full refund is warranted at this time.

      I’ve tried to call and talk to a manger they always say that they will call me back and they never do.  When the manager came out to the house which was Stanley 3rd visit he only went in living room where there are only 4 vents and didn’t check anything else at all he was gone in under 5 mins and didn’t want to hear about my concerns at all very unprofessional . “This customer was informed by the manager himself at the time of the inspection that his filter size is not standard and that we do not carry that filter size so this would not be replaced as part of this service” This is a lie when I had the estimate they talked about everything that was included I even asked what kind of filter they would use he said a merv 8 filter. One customer service lady said they came to the conclusion that every thing was clean which is a lie see pictures below. I talked to one customers relations guy he was very upset and agreed with my pictures that it was not clean but I never heard back from him. They Left all the vents that they “cleaned” off and on ground never put back and skipped the vents in one bedroom and all 3 vents in basement left the ducks that they drilled holes in unplugged pictures bellow. The pictures below are from 10-6-21 after the manger came out you can clearly see dust in vents and vents missed and laying on ground.

      We have considered this matter, upon reviewing the managers assessment from his visit to the home as well as reviewing everything the consumer has provided thus far, our stance has not changed since our previous response.

      The offer we had previously made to refund $100.00 is still valid should he choose to accept it.

      In his most recent rebuttal the customer mentioned having another company out who completed the same services after us. If the customer can provide a detail invoice for the services performed by this third party, we will, at that, re-consider this matter.

      On 10-14-21 Stanley Steemer gave me an estimate $465.00 to come and do Air duct and furnace cleaning so on 10-15-21 they came and did the service last night on 10-19-21 I was looking at the news and got an odor from my vent like something was burning so I got up cut my heat off and went and opened my furnace and they never cleaned it my filter was dirty and the whole furnace was caked up with dust and dirt and the blower motor was dirty I’m glad I was woke because I believe my house might have caught on fire I called them at 10:10 last night and Rashan told me he would send the manager a text and have him to call me in the morning so I never got a call so I called back and talk to Juan at 10:00 am he said they have a 24 to 48 window to call me back and I think that’s unfair because it’s cold and it only took them 24 hours to send an inspector out to me and the next day have a team come out and do a half job, so where do I go from here.

      my carpet was cleaned on 09/23/2021 , cost $135.06 . while the tech started cleaning my carpet he asked me if I ever spot treated my carpet, I informed him that I did, He said that while the carpet is being cleaned it activates the bleach that might have been in the product, but when the carpet dries they will disappear. I waited 2 days but now I have multiple spots on the carpet that are very noticeable that were not there before. On Moday 09/27 I spoke with the district manger ( ***** ******** ) as she claims that Stanley Steamer is not responsible for preexisting prior to cleaning. My question to her was , do you ask every consumer before they ask to have their carpets cleaned if they spot clean. She said no, that it was my responsibility to inform them. I feel this is very unfair as I believe many consumers shop clean their carpets. Now my carpets are ruined and they are not taking responsibility for it. I am reaching out to you hoping that some action can by taken .

In fact, if a product has the potential to cause dye degradation, we will not consider it for use.  Unfortunately, this type of pre-existing damage is not always obvious prior to the cleaning. The list of chemicals and household products that could damage the dye sites in this way is very long, therefor, it is not a common practice of any carpet cleaning company to go over the exhaustive list of products that could have caused a pre-existing condition.
      We are willing to come out to reclean at no charge. However, we do not feel as if a refund or carpet replacement is warranted at this time.

      Yes they did offer to reclean it again. But could not say if it would work or if it would make it worse. I also advised them that I left work 4 hours early to meet their window of the appointment. When I tried to reason with them. Customer service acted like it was fault that I did not advise them that I spot cleaned my carpet. I ask, who does that? They should be up front with their customers advising them that if you have spot cleared their carpets that this may possibly happen. I feel they don’t because many customers may not that the chance and may be a loss of business for them. Also no one has called me to at least try to make this right.

      First off, they never offered to send out a new crew the same day it was cleaned. How could they as I had to wait till after it dried ? We they accommodate me and be at my home after 4:30 so I will not have to take time off like I did. Also provide fans to dry to carpets faster as now I can not keep the windows open. They are just trying to take responsibility.

      On 8/18/2021, two SS techs arrived at my home to clean the "wall to wall" carpets in my home. I inquired about cleaning a 7' x 8' area rug in my foyer. The Persian-style rug was wrapped and sent to their cleaning facility in Columbus, OH. for an additional $146.00. When the carpet was returned a full month later, the colors had bled throughout the entire rug, in effect ruining it. I contacted SS. They said it was likely the light coming through the foyer or possibly how the rug fibers laid that caused the color distortion but they suggested it be picked up again and reclean it. When it was returned again, it seemed the colors were even more faded. It took several more phone calls before Trent W****, the Nat’l Rug Area Mgr, agreed the colors had bled and faded. I did not agree to the price of $600 the local office offered for damages. On 9/30/21 the rug was picked up to be appraised. SS has had my rug for 61 out of the last 65 days with no contact and no new offer to settle my loss.
