      I purchased a 12 pack of GE LED bulbs (soft white). So far, two have failed within 60 days. On the box it states "lasts 13 years". This is not right.

      On July 8th GE Customer service reached out to the customer via email and phone, and left a voice mail to determine the type of lamp and other information.

      We have not yet had a response from the customer.

      I put in a request 2 times throught the company’s website submission for for a replacement of led bulbs that burnt out right away. I have not heard back from the company

      Hello, GE Lighting, a Savant company has sent letter, two-$15 coupons and a return mailer shipped via normal mail on 7/12.

      Customer Service has also left 2 voice mails and sent the Customer an e-mail (attached).

      About 2 am I was woken up with a loud glass breaking noise. I immediately jumped up startled thinking someone was breaking into my house. After ruling that out I searched the house to find a light bulb above my bathroom counter, that was turned off, had exploded and the glass had traveled approximately 8-10 ft to the ground. There was no glass on the counter underneath the the light fixture where the bulb had been. This is a huge safety concern. I tried to contact GE, but there not so friendly site wouldn’t allow me to continue without information such as price paid, etc.

      Our Customer Service team has reached out today (3/21/23) to contact the customer over e-mail and by phone. 

      A mailer to return the damaged product, a letter with additional information and a coupon for replacement product has been sent to the customer's address.

      I keep purchasing GE F17 T8 light bulbs - every 6 months or so, I am on a 3rd set. 2 bulbs at a time. THye burn out super quick. I bought GE because they promise 18 years life for the bulb. Mine are in the pantry and they dont last anywhere near as long. They are not even on 6 hours per day! I have spent over $75 now for the new bulbs in last 2 years. In finally am tired of replacing them and want a refund - this is crazy that they dont last at all! attached you will see pics of 5 - i broke 1 - sorry! also last receipt for the purchase. I had tried to submit to GE directly via their website but i cant get the right product code it seems - GE makes it real difficult to reach them on their site!

      Our product service team has contacted the customer twice by e-mail asking for the following information:


      “Pictures of the application, age of the ballast, clear detailed pictures of the markings on the ballast and how it is wired”.
      We have not yet had a response from the customer.



      Also on 2/17/23 a return shipping label was sent to the customer to send the product back to us for analysis.  Nothing has been returned yet.

      I had received an email from GE on 2-17-2023 at 6pm - see the enclosed. No phone calls - nothing. Then on 2-28-2023 I had received a follow up email saying its a 2nd attempt and had just received the label. The fedex label was not received till 2-28-2023! I had shipped the light GE same day on 2-28 at 4:21pm cst. 

      The requested info in the emails, in the BBB response from GE and the actual letter from GE does not match. They had not requested ballast info, pictures of it, age of it, etc 

      The letter received had requested only the bulbs themselves. I had sent the bulbs per the letter requested. 

      I am enclosing the emails and the letter received. 

      To date I had no response from GE even though they had received the bulbs.

      Hello *******,

       

      We have already issued a refund to the customer for the lamps that the customer purchased – we have requested a copy of the receipt for his fixture but have not received it yet.

       

      Unfortunately the back-and-forth between the customer can take longer than 5 business days and the built-in response window for comments into the BBB site may be too short for realistic resolution and our comments when we don’t yet have an update.

       

      Once we get the response from the customer I will be requesting from you to re-open the complaint so that we can add our comments and update.

      After several discussions with the customer, we have refunded the customer full price for their lamps and fixture that they had compatibility issues with.

      We believe this matter to be closed for both parties.
