In January 2023 I applied For an apartment and upon sitting down with ***** the office manager she said I would only pay $40.00 for the application fee. On the phone that day she said she would require my son who just turned 18 in December of 2022 to also pay an application fee of $40.00. She stated they only take check or money order so I brought an $80.00 money order. ***** said she would apply the $40.00 extra to my rent. I decided later I didn’t want to rent there and talked to ***** on the phone she stated she would notify corporate and they would mail me a check. I have called town and country apartments in lima on ******* **. Two times and left voicemails inquiring about the refund of $40.00. She isn’t returned my calls. I emailed her from her business card that she gave me twice with no reply. I would like my $40.00 back that she stated she would return to me.

    To Whom It May Concern:

***** ******** filled out an application on 1/9/2023 for a two bedroom unit apartment. Her money order was for $80, the credit check was $40. She was approved. Per our conversation the extra $40 was to go toward her deposit once she moved in which she agreed to. On the back of the application it states if your application is denied your deposit is refundable. That's why she hasn't gotten her $40 back. Please contact me if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
