I bought a recliner sofa from Morris Furniture at the Dayton Mall on 9-13-21. They suggested we purchase the extended warranty, so we did. The release handle broke and I call the warranty company on December 12, 2023. They didn't send a repair person out until January 2024. He ordered parts. It's now May 16, 2024 and still not fixed. I've called the warrant company several times and they have NERER called me back. I've contacted Morris in person at the store and called customer service and every time they have told me that it's out of their hands I need to contact the Warranty Company. Morris sold me the warranty but they won't help me. Nobody told me that Morris wasn't connected to the extended warranty. I just want my sofa fixed!! I will nerve buy the extended warranty again! We have shopped at Morris for over 30 year, nerve again!Review from Erin M

In 2022 I Bought a couch, loveseat, an end table and coffee table, got the couch and loveseat, within a few weeks of purchase, waiting in the coffee table and end table. They never came. 2 years later, I get a $1200 charge in my card. Call it in for fraud they claim I authorized the payment for said coffee and end table. Still never received said furniture. How can a company charge your card 2 years later. With a new 5 year 0% interest till 2029. On the statement it said new charge purchase date march 2nd, 2024. I haven’t used this card in 2 years and paid the balance in full. Never open up a credit card through morris furniture, they may add charges that you might not catch. Especially if you still have a balance on your card. I only noticed it because I’ve had it paid off for 2 years.Review from Diana M

Don't EVER buy their Extended PP! It's a bait n switch. The store tells you everything is covered but they have a 3rd PP company that says wood breakage is not covered. Have it in my contract that says it is. Then they sneak in a line on my order that says purchased PP but " no frame" extra $99.00. I've been through various phone calls, e-mails, chat-bots, bounced around like a basketball from person to person. I'm in the middle of trying to get a rocker recliner fixed that broke. I will NEVER buy from ANY of Morris associated stoes again. Trying to reach a human being on the phone is like pulling teeth. The saddest part of this .. Morris was the only store we ever bought from over the years.......NOT ANYMORE!Review from Marisa B

We bought a leather couch and chair that were "pet friendly". I asked the salesperson if a pet scratch would be covered under the extended warranty, and he affirmed that yes it would. Our small pet just scratched not even hard the arm of the chair, and the material opened a tear to what appears not to be leather but some other material that is very thin and exposed something white underneath. I have tried to call the extended warranty company which was so unfriendly that I couldn't spend time and energy to answer the million questions. We purchased a very expensive couch from Morris furniture. We selected the high performance material, which we paid extra for, being told that it would hold up better. Within 6 months the material is pilling, misshapen, and there is a puncture in the back. The material is discolored in places and the recliners we had installed are the most uncomfortable I’ve used. There is no padding and they are too short. We have complained and sent pics for repair per the warranty we were guaranteed. And EVERYTHING was denied. I feel scammed and beyond disappointed. They often conveniently lose all records of purchases and employees who sold us the couch conveniently do not work there anymore.Review from Chantell A

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a fuckin joke. I ordered a $4000.00 bedroom set and waited almost two months for the order to be fulfilled and delivered. I scheduled my delivery for this past Thursday based off of my email saying all parts were in stock and ready. The delivery people (who emphasized they were subcontractors and they weren’t responsible for not having all the pieces) got all of the furniture in and then told me they didn’t have the support rails for my bed and that Morris would contact me. Morris didn’t. I had to go in person and was avoided by staff when I got there. I finally talked to the Customer Care Specialist who only was able to be contacted by email and told she would contact the distribution center about possibly getting me the the parts in “a week or so.” No sense of care or urgency that I don’t have a bed based off of them not having all of my pieces delivered after paying extra to have my furniture delivered and setup. Then Morris had the audacity to send a customer satisfaction survey about my delivery. Are you serious?! Still no contact about my support beams or offers for compensation for inconvenience or anything. The Customer Care person was scheduled to be in today and wasn’t. I was told my beams and rails would be delivered on 1/12, but I haven’t received any correspondence with that information either. No rush delivery or nothing, just business as usual for them. I will never purchase from them again, and I advise you to not do so as well.Review from Donna F

DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS AT MORRIS FURNITURE COMPANY! I've been sleeping on the couch since Oct. and is January 2nd now. Told we could return a mattress as long as it is "within 30 days". Topic discussed "just in case" the new mattress irritated my hip issue. Reassured us that the mattress and base could be returned within 30 days. WRONG... is a one-time exchange, not a return & you need to wait 30 days before they will exchange it. We do exchange paperwork & the mattress never comes. Check online & the order is on hold. Why? They have no idea & correct it. The mattress still never comes. Why? There was an issue because items on the same order were discontinued while the order was on hold. They finally come. The delivery guys pick up the return mattress put the side on the floor slide it to the doorway and rotate it to get out the door. They then take pictures. I'm told they can't take it because there is dog hair on it. Well, yeah there's dog hair on the side dragged on the floor!!! All the other sides were clean. Doesn't matter. I'm told that I need to have it professionally cleaned then they will reschedule the delivery/pick-up. Going on month 3 without a mattress. ******* ******* came out 2 hrs later. Sent the invoice info to Morris customer services via email & on the phone w/rep. while the technician was on-site. He took pics & was not sure why it needed to be cleaned. He said he used to deliver mattresses & was just dumbfounded. He said it looked brand new. Of course, it did, I slept on it 4 hours before it hurt my hip then it was moved to a guest bedroom, covered with sheets, and not used. They wouldn't reschedule with me on the phone. Meanwhile, my husband went to the store. They called the third-party delivery company dispatch and told him they would reschedule the delivery/pickup as we didn't need it cleaned. Waiting on a call to reschedule that. Wonder if I'll ever get the mattress exchanged. BE WARNED-DON'T BUY A MATTRESS FROM MORRIS.Review from Derrick and Hope G

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT BUY FROM MORRIS FURNITURE. We paid over $5,000 CASH via debit card for a wade reclining sectional and chair BACK IN AUGUST, 2023. The sectional arrived BROKEN. We requested a refund or a reselect. Granted a reselect. It's been since late October/November, 2023 and the NEW FURNITURE was supposed to be here early December, 2023. WE STILL DON'T HAVE OUR RESELECT FURNITURE. It's been so very stressful. We even have a $585 credit coming back to us that they promised to mail us a check. NO SIGN OF THAT CREDIT REFUND CHECK. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!???? The only way to get responses from Morris Furniture is through the BBB, but when Morris responds due to pressure from the BBB, they lie. We've called the delivery warehouse to follow up re delivery date, and every single time we get a DIFFERENT STORY from the rep. There's one young lady named Ashley who is very rude, nasty, unprofessional, and should not be dealing with customers on any level. I don't know what's going on with Morris Furniture. This has by far been the worst experience we've ever had with purchasing furniture, and we're older people. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They don't care about their customers. BBB, PLEASE HELP US! ALL WE WANT IS OUR FURNITURE OR A FULL REFUND. NO MORE DELAYS. We were told by Ashley at the delivery warehouse that our reselect order won't be in the warehouse until early January, 2024. Two days ago a different rep told us the furniture had arrived in the warehouse. WHAT IS GOING ON??? BBB, OR, SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP US GET OUR FURNITURE.
