I dropped my car at **** ******* Backwoods Automotive on May 16th and picked it up on May 20th. My father paid $550 for repairs on my car. My three brackets that hold the support rod for my hood were torn off. My rod was free floating under the hood. The brackets were there before my car went in. My father and I asked **** about it through text message- and **** denied that he broke it. He tried to pin it on me. The only relevancy there is from the parts that needed fixed in the original deal to the brackets is **** decided to not take proper precautions and proceeded to rip the air conditioner condenser out of my car without taking the area apart which resulted with no brackets, which he did confirm this theory later in our discussion. My father and I went and discussed in person on May 31st, 2022. He said “your car, I thought, had a wire keeping the hood support in place”. I then proceeded to ask him “well, where is the wire”. He said “I do not know”. As I kept asking him questions to try to get the full picture he said if you’re going to point fingers at me then you guys should leave. I then told him that “I am going to report you to the better business bureau” and my father asked what we could do to fix this part he broke. **** came storming out of the garage in a stance like he was about to punch my father. I got in between them and said “he is not worth it Dad”. And **** got VERY defensive and said “oh, I’m not worth it”? He kept repeating “take your piece of crap and damaged car” and get out of my business. It seemed like he was using everything that we did or said in that moment to fuel his hostile venting. But he said we needed to leave so we were trying to get out of there. We were fearful for our lives. He does not employ good business practices due to his highly emotional and reactive way of dealing with customers. My father and I tried to resolve this with **** two different ways and he has shown no effort in wanting to resolve the torn off brackets.

      Business response

      06/02/2022

Per conversation with **** ******, 90% of his business is customers from church.  If he was breaking cars, he would have no business.  He did not damage anything on the vehicle.  It is a 2006 Ford Fusion, has been in multiple accidents and is not in the best condition.  When the customers confronted him about this, he told them he did not do any damage, that it was just one clip that was missing and he was willing to help them with the issue.  Until they became combative and started yelling at him in front of his children.  At that point, he asked them to leave his property.  He again stated, he did not do any damage to the vehicle and will not respond to further harassment.  This case is closed.

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

      Complaint: 17295491

I am rejecting this response because: ******* * ****** lll (a.k.a **** ******) just filed a false response in this case. “Thou shalt not bear false witness” (The 10 commandments), this means speaking falsely in any matter, lying, equivocating, and any way devising and designing to deceive our neighbor and is also one of the seven deadly sins.

Regardless of **** ******’s lac* of variation in customers (per Kent’s 90% church goers) and his statement of saying that my car “is a piece of crap and damaged” while we were trying get away from him, the brackets on my car were there before my car went in. And regardless of **** ******’s life threatening actions, I still want my part that **** ****** broke to be fixed, by a different Auto Repair Company.

My car was perfectly fine going in. Any car is going to have some wear and tear and I have been driving it for 7 years. We have heard from our past auto repair business and they stated that it is true that **** ****** does not stand good behind his work. It has been confirmed, not only by me, that ******* **** ****** lll does not employ good business practices. Thus, I reject his statement, including the false accusations against my Father and I. The case is NOT closed. And again, ******* **** ****** lll has not shown any effort to resolve this matter.

      Regards,
      *** ******
