We purchased a 2018 Dodge Journey from Tri-State Liquidators on 07/30/2021, in Paulding OH. With the promise that our payments would be $400 a month and we would have single digits interest. The sales person, ****, swore up and down that I test drove it, but they had to bring it in from Hamler OH. I DID NOT TEST DRIVE THIS VEHICLE, THEY WOULDN'T LET ME TEST DRIVE ANY VEHICLES THE FIRST DAY I WENT IN. They, also, never gave us the CarFax when asked for it. When my husband and I were signing for the vehicle, we were told that we had 30 days to take this vehicle back to them. They rushed us through everything and wouldn't let us read the contracts. We were, also, told the monthly payments were $535 and the interest was 14%. As soon as I picked up the vehicle, I had numerous problems. They told us they would get us into something else, with no negative effects. But did not.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 18, 2021/10/08) */ BBB Transcription of Phone Call Response: The business is stating that about a month and a half after purchasing the vehicle that the consumer called back stating she was having problems with it and wanted to return it. The business already paid off the existing loan from her trade in, but did find another lender for her. She was unable to provide verification of income, which caused some issues, but they did find another lender and believes this issue has been completely resolved. Consumer Response /* (3000, 20, 2021/10/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The vehicle had issues before it even left the lot and the dealership was aware of it. We had contacted the dealership that same evening (08/02/2021) and told them that we wanted the original vehicle back. We had been "fighting" that whole time with AutoSmart and their third-party, Tri-State Auto Liquidators. It took contacting an attorney for the dealership to finally attempt to make things right. Yes, we DID get our original vehicle back(09/10/2021). We DID provide income verification, we were told that the paystub had "expired". We re-verified income. We were told that the final paperwork was sent to lender yesterday (10/08/2021), even though we signed AGAIN almost a week prior.
