1 starMicrocenter will tell you as many lies as it takes to sell you ************* +. Here are some examples:- I was told if I brought my PC in by 5p.m., I'd get it back same day. Wrapped it up and drove through tornado sirens to get it there by 4:50: now they say 2 day minimum!- Was told if I buy PC+, there would be no charge for any ***air -whatsoever- with the exception of new hardware costs. This was a lie. Even a basic format of windows is still $100!!! After I was sold this plan, I verbally clarified with the sales *** that the format would be 100% free and they said yes (****** clearly lied here).- Was told if the format doesn't fix my PC, I would get my money back for the failed ***air. Nope, that $100 is gone. Now you're out $250 and you have no files, and your PC is still broken.- For bonus points: I have a unique problem where I've only found 1 solution. If my PC is bread boarded, it works great. If it's in the case, it turns itself off. They are 100% sure this is a windows corruption issue. Feels like a far fetched solution to me, windows doesn't know if I'm bread boarded or in a case. But hey, I'm just the loser who got scammed. Do your research, don't get *************+.Also, in a kind of dystopian way, all 4 employees I spoke to said word for word "*************+ is such a great deal, I would have charged $350 for it". Really strange they all drop the same lines and tell the same lies.Review fromNils G

Terrible Experience Rude, Condescending, and a Faulty PC I had an awful experience at this MicroCenter after spending $6,800 on a high-end custom PC. What should have been a smooth process turned into miscommunication, dismissive service, and a defective product. The sales *** was great, but after purchasing, I received over 10 false your PC is ready texts for a week. Each time I called, they said to ignore themyet they kept coming. When my GPU finally arrived, I picked up the *** but it wouldnt boot into Windowsonly BIOS or Safe Mode. After trying everything, I called tech support, who agreed something was wrong and advised I bring it in.Service Desk Nightmare At the store, staff ignored an elderly couple struggling with sign-in and let a later arrival **** ahead due to an online appointmentsomething I was never told existed. When I finally saw a tech, he was immediately dismissive, criticizing the build that MicroCenter themselves recommended. He smugly got Windows to load once and acted like nothing was wrong, despite ongoing issues. He had to disable a certain software that they said was unknown issue, but they elected not to tell me about these issues. Refund Denied on a Broken PC After rude service calls, I returned the *** but they refused a full refund, keeping labor and Windows costseven though it never worked properly. When I asked for proof of this policy, they couldnt provide it.Horrible customer service. Avoid this location. Expect to have a confrontation and not a discussion when you go to the store.Micro Center Computers & Electronics

1 starWell, I've built many computers over the years, always getting everything from here, but after 16 years, I won't step foot into that place. The overweight bald store manager who's cheap blue suit was covered in ******** was as rude as could be, and it wasn't the first time I've had to call corporate about that guy and have them step in to make a deal right. I drove over two hours after I got confirmation from the Web chat customer service **** over trade in values for two cards. I then scheduled and appointment to have them evaluated and made the drive down. Showed up 5 minutes before my appointment time, and signed in on the tablet like the sign instructed and sat down. I then proceeded to watch one by one people come right in from the front door get in line and get taken care of while they ignored the check and appointment list. At one point an employee even told incoming customers to not bother checking in and just get in line. After almost 30 minutes past my appointment window I finally got the attention of someone and got called up. The employee then told me as long as the cards tested fine, I'd get x value for one, and x value for the other. I then showed him the page with the values and the chat where I was told those were the values, and what he provided were off by several hundred, he got the dandruff covered store manager who said I don't care what corporate told you, this is all I'll give you. If you have a problem call them. I was just there this past weekend and spent over $1000 on a new CPU and motherboard (9800x3d). I will promptly be returning everything from that purchase. They've lost a ************************************************** customer service, their bait and switch policy on the *** trade in, and the store manager who should have been fired ages ago.Review fromAmi B

1 starThis is a poll I started for them. They need to live up to what they claim to be or advertise themselves differently. ****************************Review fromLinsey W

i visited micocenter on 10/28 to have my phone screen repaired. I arrived when the store opened at 10 am. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, I was told that there was not a technician in who could service my device. I then spoke with the manager who was very rude and dismissive and told to visit another apple retailer to perform my service. This information should have been stated as soon as the store opened, to keep customers from unnecessarily waiting that have driven from another side of town as I have. This has caused me a major inconvenience. I will never patronize this business as it has zero regards for good customer service.Micro Center Computers & Electronics

I was charged $150 for a 1TB external drive that the repair team used to backup my data. They said I could not return it because they charged for labor. However, on the receipt, it shows $0 for labor.Micro Center Computers & Electronics

Hi *******,Thank you for sharing your feedback. Im sorry to hear that there was some confusion regarding the charges for the data backup service. The $150 you were charged is a bundled price, which includes both the data backup service and the 1TB external storage device. To clarify, our data backup service is $99.99 if you provide your own storage device. The additional $50 in your case covers the cost of the external drive we provided. If you would like to return the storage device, we are happy to refund the $50 associated with it. Please reach out to our service department, and well be glad to assist you further.Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your business.Best regards,Micro Center Customer RelationsReview fromKaren L

1 starI have reached out to this business on numerous occasions including mailing them a sample of their mailer back requesting that they remove an individual's name attached to our residential address. This person has never lived at this residence and we don't want to receive his mail. What does it take to remove him!****** ***** ***************************************************************Review fromJERALD G

I bought several items at the Houston store, The 1,050 dollar computer had issues with the sound, which never worked. Took it in for repairs to no avail. So they replaced the computer I bought with a lesser one which never powered up. I took it back and they tried to give me a lesser computer which I refused but the problem came when I asked for a refund which they gave me for the computer but not the warranty and the anti virus I also purchased. So that was 300.oo dollars I lost. So if I returned the computer then I had no need for the warranty nor the anti-virus.Micro Center Computers & Electronics

1 starGood morning Mr. *******, To begin, I want to express how highly angry, disappointed, and excessively stressed out about our experiences at your Micro Center at **** ** **** **** ******** ** *****. As of now, Saturday 6/1/24, I still have not heard from the district manager as requested or anyone from Micro Center regarding our experience. I've been patient and allowed more than 3 business days, on top of the weekend and holiday. This had been a horrible experience on so many levels. My family has spent 9 hours driving, the gas used to drive there and back, and 8 hours waiting in the store only to be practically laughed at for wanting which we paid $3,252.77 for. I work in customer service and understand innocent mistakes happen; however, this was done intentionally. This wasn't just an accident but a horrible disaster. The company I work for owns up when we make a mistake, obviously Micro Center believes they are perfect and never do anything wrong. Your company is a joke! I look forward to hearing from your and your company very soon with an acceptable resolution. ******* H
