BBB took a complaint over the phone. Below is the voice to text voicemail description
*** ******, ********, I am asking that EverDry payback and refund me $22 ,620. They did not fulfill their contract. The contract states that they were to do the work within 90 days. The contract was signed on October 31, 2024. Here to date, they still have not completed the work. They started the work the week prior to Thanksgiving in 2024, did not complete that week to satisfactory, filed a dispute against the charges after they worked on the House once again here in January, there was mold detected in the house December 19th between the vapor barrier that they put up that we were not told that was going to be put up. We were told that the company does not put up vapor barrier. Once Everdry was notified of the mold, we were told that we were to treat it with vinegar or bleach. They worked on the house January 14th inside in the basement, January 15th inside in the basement. It wasn't until that Friday that they asked to come in and do a test mold. My husband had to miss three days vacation because them canceling the job and not coming out. The job was supposed to be complete, again, that second try of them coming out, and it still was not complete. went into the following week, they came out that Thursday, Friday, it was not complete, they came out Saturday, it was stated that they would be completed that day, it was not completed, I filed a dispute on my credit card, they submitted fraudulent documentation to my credit card company stating that the job was complete on November 22nd of 2024 on a unique sheet that my husband had signed. It was not dated when he signed it. He signed it on ***** of 2024. they dated it for 11-22-24, and that last line on the sheet was added after, and it says that job is complete with that date, and they falsely added that. And you can even tell in the documentation that it is a different handwriting on that last line. It looks different from lines 1 through 5. The unique sheet was basically just stating things that they weren't able to complete during the job and that if something should happen due to them not completing that portion of the job that they would, it was covered under warranty and they would come back out and then do it at that time. So, because they did not complete the work, as they stated and sold to us, they did not fulfill the contract in completing the work within ************************************************************************************************************************************** their favor. I am asking for the $22 ,620 due to all of that. Again, this is *** ******, and the ** number is ********. Thank you. Thank you very much.Customer Answer

Have more attachments that I was unable to upload. I also have videos on my ******** account that I have recorded of conversations with the Everdry staff supporting that the work was not done professionally, nor was it complete, and the 90 days that it was supposed to be completed have lapsed. Everdry have breached their contract as well as forged documents, that I provided the proof of the unique sheet where that shows where line 6 was added at a later date than when my husband signed it.Business Response

I wanted to let you know that **** ******* with Everdry left a voice mail on my husband's phone on Monday, February 17, 2025. I returned ****** phone call as he wanted to speak about our dissatisfaction with the work that Everdry did at our home. We set up a meeting for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, and further discussed the unprofessional work that was not completed, as well as showing pictures and videos of the unprofessional work and encounters with the Everdry staff. At the end of our meeting, **** ******* agreed to go back and further speak with Everdry crew that worked on our home and bring back his findings and documentation at a scheduled meeting that we set up for Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4:30 pm. so he could better understand our point of view in the manner for a resolution and understanding of why we do not want the Everdry to further work on our home. **** ******* informed us he has taken over the general manager position for the ******** Everdry location on December 5, 2025. He also stated he has worked for Everdry for 20 years and just recently moved from the *********, ******** location. We are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. **** ******* wants us to trust him to make things right when we have entrusted the Everydry staff members to make it right on multiple occasions. I will update you with the outcome of our meeting with **** ******* that is scheduled next month. We will also do our own research to further check into any findings of **** ******* as we have already given Everdry multiple chances complete the work we were supposed to have done on our home.

Complaint: 22956857
I am rejecting this response because:We recently met with Everdry representative ******* ******* at our home. During our conversation, ******* emphasized that he had implemented numerous changes within the company and was now personally handling all decisions and complaints. My husband and I took this opportunity to express our ongoing negative experiences with *********************** quickly became evident that ******** primary motivation for the meeting was to continue work at our home in an effort to restore Everdrys Better Business Bureau (BBB) status. He explicitly stated that as long as he extended an offer to complete the work, Everdry could regain its BBB accreditation. Given our continued dissatisfaction with Everdrys workmanship and business practices, we made it clear that we were unwilling to proceed further. ******* insisted that things had changed under his leadership and urged us to trust him personally, rather than judge the company based on its past performance. Despite his assurances, we declined his ******** husband and I have already taken multiple days off work to meet with Everdry staff in an attempt to see our basement project completed. On several occasions, we lost valuable paid time off, only for Everdry employees to fail to show up as scheduled. This project has been extraordinarily costlynot only in terms of the price of the work itself but also the additional expenses required to correct errors, as well as the lost wages from our missed workdays. Time that should have been spent on leisure and family instead had to be used supervising Everdrys unreliable workers.******* later scheduled a second meeting at our home, this time bringing along ****. This interaction further highlighted Everdrys ongoing issues with miscommunication and dishonesty. ******* claimed he was informed of the meeting only the day before, yet we had scheduled it with **** a full week in advance. When we presented our text message correspondence as evidence, **** finally admitted that he had failed to communicate the appointment to *******. Until confronted with proof, **** was content to be deceptive. Instead of addressing this clear issue of dishonesty, ******* chastised us for "degrading" ****. We were not degrading anyonewe were simply presenting evidence of the ongoing deceit within Everdrys operations.Despite these concerns, ******* remained focused on securing our authorization for continued work, which we believe served two purposes: (1) to extract additional payments from us and (2) to aid Everdry in regaining its BBB accreditation. Once again, we declined.Following ******** initial visit, my husband discovered that the pipes Everdry installed in our basement were not even connectedmeaning any drainage system was ineffective, causing water to spread throughout our basement living area. Given these glaring issues, we firmly refused ******** offer to complete the job. At no point did he offer any form of compensation or discount for Everdrys repeated failures, our time off work, and damage to the home. Instead, he repeatedly emphasized the companys expenses related to the project. When we stood firm in our decision, ******* resorted to threats of arbitration and placing a lien on our homedemonstrating yet again the companys aggressive and unprofessional ********** is important to note that more than 75 complaints against Everdry have been filed with the *****************************, underscoring the widespread dissatisfaction among homeowners. Many customers have invested their life savings, retirement funds, or even gone into debt to pay for a service that was supposed to protect their homes from water damage and mold. Instead, they are left chasing Everdry for accountability, often met with silence or resistance.Given these ongoing concerns, we urge the BBB to continue withholding accreditation from Everdry. Ohio homeowners deserve better.

We were able to meet with the ******** 3/25/25 at 5pm, we discussed resolutions and agreed to complete any services needed to satisfy the homeowner. The work to be completed was to repour their driveway where service work was completed. It was in a previous agreement that Everdry would remove the driveway to service those areas covered by the driveway and the customer was to repour at their expense, ******************** agreed to repour their driveway at our expense to help with satisfying the ********. The second service discussed was to reroute their discharge line under their sidewalk to the street, we also stated that we would like to add an additional service to reinforce their foundation with an epoxy injection into a crack on the inside of the foundation that was previously sealed on the exterior of their home. Within the meeting it was brought to my attention that Mr. ****** had removed the concrete in an area that Everdry serviced to find that there was a section where that pipe was not connected, this area is what we would call a high point and is exactable to be done if there is an area that is obstructing any service work to be performed. With the mention of this particular area, I agreed to reinsure that the system was working, and we would flow test the system to make sure there were no other areas that would need any additional service. Mr. ****** and Mrs. ****** stated that they did not want to peruse a resolution with Everdry, I feel that we have attempted to agree and help the Murphys home with a very reasonable resolution to address all of their concerns.Customer Answer

We have paid Everdry a total of $12,137.50. April 4, 2025 my daughter went down in the basement to discover we had water leaking into the house from the rain we had the night before. This further confirms the several attenpts of Everdry coming out to do a job they were hired to do was not done. Our house is worse off than before they touched our home. The riped the down spouts away from our home so we have to attach them at our cost. Everdry empolyees repoved schedule 40 that our downspouts when into and placed a cheaper material that our down spouts are barely in as they were cut too short. Our mini split that was ran into our downspout was placed on the ground to leak and having the drainage be stangant/leak down into the foundation. We can not risk having the comapny come into our home and further damaging our home as they have done this far causing us further finacial burden that they have thus far. Not to mention the many other homes and families they have vicitmizes to their scam of lying about the work Everdry does not do, causing further damage to homes and further finacially burdening with cost that would not of been needed had they of not came in and done damage. Everdry does not do work they cause destruction.Business Response

Subject: Re: BBB complaint 22956857
To: ***** ***** <***********************************************************************************>*****.We have decided to go in another direction with the Murphys, I know the client has listed below that they are still having issues within their basement. After our last meeting the Murphys stated that they would like to part ways with Everdry as they were not in agreement with myself or the company and the options we provided to come to a resolution. The Customer was able to have all of the amounts paid reversed from our accounts, there for we as a company have not been paid any monies for any of the work that was provided by Everdry. The Murphys requested Everdry to part ways and they would like to hire their brother-in-law to do the repair work needed; after discussing this with our legal counsel we agreed to separate from the customer with no monies owed for the repairs. Our legal team is drafting a document for the separation of the Murphys and Everdry. We plan to provide the Murphys with the said document this coming week, per their request. I do not feel that arbitration will be needed based upon the Murphys request and Everdry agreeing to the request. Please also note that the some of the work that had been done by Everdry was undone by Mr. ****** and learned at the time of the last meeting, which may conclude to why there may be water in their basement.Respectfully******* JaquesGeneral ManagerEverdry WaterproofingColumbus, *********;Initial Complaint

I had Everdry waterproof my basement, and it has been a disaster. After they finished the job, I had the following issues. 1. My basement flooded with toilet paper and poop. I had ********** come, but the main sewage line was obstructed by gravel and concrete. The basement had to be sanitized. I paid for the service, and Everday was to reimburse me. 2. II asked foI asked for an itemized receipt for the work. The gravel truck they used cracked my driveway because of its weight. I was told I could not get a receipt until I authorized the financing. The problem was that the driveway and plumbing reimbursement was included in the bill . The financing company removed the charges but I was not reimbursed. 3. The sump pump was not connected properly and flooded my basement. Everdry replaced the parts because the PVC pipe was not glued properly and was cut too short. The motor burned out and needs to be replaced.Business Response

I purchased this home 9/1999, at the time the N basement wall had been rebuilt due to falling in. Needless to say I was concerned about this happening again. We had Everdry come out they said they could install Stabl-Wall on it which would guarantee that it would never happen again which they did waterproof and install Stabl-Wall on both the N & E walls of our 14 course block foundation. Over the years we seen continued movement on both walls, Everdry came out on many occasions installing more Stabl-Wall or removing short pieces and reinstalling longer ones. Called 2/2022 Everdry sent out supervisor, ***** ******* said beams were needed, measured for 15 beams, said they would order. No beams 4/6/23, they sent *** ***** came out 4/12/23 called **** ********** *** they came out together 4/14/23 they were going to get the walls fix. **** seemed to think 3 beams would fix N wall with bolts & nuts pull the wall straight. Months went by with no beam no nothing. Finally 10/18/23. ***** said they had beams & install 10/19, 1-3pm. Dug up 3 spots to install but couldn't due to where drainage pipes were. Now need to move pipes before installing beams 11/4/23, no show no call either. I called *** *****, they came out 12/26/23. They told me N wall needed totally rebuilt and 30' of E wall should be also, but E wall could have beams every 2'- 3' instead. Called **** ***** to tell him of the inspection I had done, left message 1/11/24, 2/8/24, 3/1/24, **** out till 3/5/24, called 3/7/24. Everdry Waterproofing of Columbus came and did my mother in laws basement/crawl space on July 25, 2024. They did a horrible job. They left extension chords running from crawl space on the stairs to an outlet in the basement that a 60+ yr old lady can trip over when going down to do her laundry. Sold a sump pump for a place that doesnt even get wet!! Not to mention to our surprise their employees had ransacked through our ENTIRE basement and stole a bunch of DeWalt tools (over at least $1000 in tools) along with other miscellaneous items. Items that cant be replaced due to them being passed down in the family. Not only that they didnt do the job correctly. They were to bury some pipes outside (see photos) and they failed to do so correctly. The pipes they were to bury under ground wasnt even anything that needed to be done. We contacted them made a report of everything missing. They were supposed to come fix the horrible job that had been done and replace the missing items but go figure its 3 weeks now and nothing has been done! So they will be hearing from our lawyer now. The tip of the iceberg is they sold us all of this stuff when they were supposed to be here looking at foundation issues which they failed to fix and covered with plastic! See photos! Doing half a** jobs, never coming back to fix the problems they created after promising customers theyd be back.Business Response

I have had a terrible experience with EverDry, including them having to come back out to my house more than 3 times to repair their work. This has included redigging around my house 2 times, moving the pop up they placed in my yard 2 times, rejackhammering into my basement floor, and visits to fix the pump when it was spraying water vertically all over my laundry room. I was promised 5 years free on their service/warranty plan. I called them after receiving an invoice in the mail and the woman on the phone assured me it was a mistake I got the invoice and that she saw on my file the 5 years free. I was assured that I wouldn’t get a call in a few weeks saying my plan expired. Well today was the day I got that call! ***** from EverDry told me they got a new system and she didn’t have the old information in the new system, so she didn’t know I had 5 years free. Before I could ask her to confirm she had noted in the new system my 5 years free, she rudely hung up on me. I would like EverDry to get their records cleaned up and accurate so I don’t have to be confused on what information they have for my account. I’d also like them to review their customer service procedures and consider retraining problem employees on phone etiquette. The service was not worth 16,800.Business Response

I had everdry waterproofing do my basement and they said there would be no more getting wet, no more mold and that they even had holes in my hot and cold water hose to my washer and I had to go buy another set of hoses. I called them and told them and they asked me to email them pictures of the damage and I did on May 31st of this year and they was supposed to send someone out to check it and I got a txt asking if any other dates that would work for me I told him that I cant do noon because I had a appointment at that time and I asked about another date and they never responded back and I got an email asking when they can do it and I still got no response back yet I had them do my basement on the 30th of April my basement still gets wet I had to throw away 4 baby items that got MOLD on them and they said it wouldnt get mold down there anymore after getting the air purifier I have photos of all of this and it feels like they arent willing to fix this problem. It feels like they just keep making excuses to not look at it.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have given them multiple opportunities to fix the situation and to reach out to me and they havent. When I would reach out they would not respond back to me. They would ghost me for a long time. I dont think if they come out it would be resolved because this should have never happened. They said I would get no more mold and more living space. Instead I stored my babies items down there and in no time they were ruined and covered in mold in under 2 weeks. The basement is in worse condition now then what it was before. I dont trust that they will fulfill what they promise.

Signed a contract on April 9, 2024 for basement waterproofing that was to be completed within 45 days. August 30th and the work remains incomplete. Was told I needed 2 steel beams due to a crack in the wall, but when crew arrived had to sign another bill for more money because I should have been told I needed 9 beams. Another crew shows up 3 weeks later and didn't have the beams. No contact from the company for 3 more weeks. 5 times I was given a date for installation and the crew didn't show up & when I call to ask I'm told "you weren't on the schedule for today " I was given a new date and this scenario was repeated over and over. Finally get a crew to show up with the beams and was told "we can't install the beams because of the placement of your drain pipes " even though they were the ones that had marked on the basement wall where the beams were going to be installed. I was now told I had to get stablwall. Supervisor called and apologized, says he will come put in stablwall himself. I asked for information on what stablwall is and how to care for it because this was not part of the original contract but I haven't received anything yet. I asked for a call the day prior to make sure I was on the schedule before I took off work- I didn't get one. He didn't show up and no contact from the company that he wasn't coming. 8/30 I got a knock on the door, and when I showed the worker where the work was going to be done he has to leave because he doesn't have the right tools to finish the job. When I asked for an invoice on how much that is going to cost, nobody has that information for me. It's been months and many missed work shifts and many thousands of dollars and still my basement is high risk for more water getting in. Window wells were just leaned against the house, not installed properly. I've already paid for work that hasn't been done.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
1- the work on my basement is still not completed.2- the information on stablwall and how to care for it after installation has not been provided.
3- the invoice/explanation of charges I have requested has not been provided
4- I had to send 2 emails leave 2 voicemails to get an appointment set up to discuss next steps and when we finally get an appointment- the supervisor is a no call no show. When I contacted the office at my appointment time I was simply told "he is unavailable"

My wife and I purchased a home in 2016. We shortly after hired a waterproofing company that was supposed to add beams and push walls as well as waterproof inside and out. It was a long lengthy procedure which ended up in building court and more. My wife opened a claim with you in the past regarding this. Recently we had to have them out again to repair the work they repaired 4 times before. We kicked the first crew off the sight for causing my wife a nervous break down and smoking weed on the job and the second crew the next day broke our property and abandoned the site without telling anyone among other things. Including stealing our sump pump we had installed and the one that was supposed to go in. Which is now taken by them. Its a mess We need help and have entire ****** drive based on this.Business Response

I hired Everdry Waterproofing of Columbus to do their interior/exterior water proofing service on my cellar over a year ago and they still have not completed the work. Initially it was because they said the gas lines had to be marked, which I was told I would have to have done. This, I learned, was not true. After that, I had difficulty securing a date; they were unavailable, or they scheduled a date I was not at home. In this time the weather had begun to turn and I reckoned it would have to wait until the spring. Earlier this year, I tried several times to get a response from Everdry to come and finish the work (The east and south exterior walls still had to be done. The interior lining also didn't look quite as it had been described, and I wanted them to inspect that, also.) It was only after saying that if no one contacted me I would have to 'put things on a more official level' that I could get a response. However, setting a date was difficult because, again, Everdry would schedule for a day I was not at home, or leave a message, usually the evening before, that they were coming the next morning! We finally set a day in April of this year and only part of the work was done to the eastern side. Before the workmen left, they wanted me to sign-off on the work, but I refused siting how long it took after the last time (Last time I signed what they called a Follow-up page for the work that couldn't complete at that time and would have to come back to complete.) I also thought I smelt marijuana from their truck. Again, there was the game of 'telephone-tag' and 'the gas lines have to be marked', and waiting for a response. I believe my last contact with them was in that month, the gas lines have long since been re-marked (now faded), and I have still not heard from Everdry!Business Response

On 11/20/24 Everdry Waterproofing completed the services needed. Per the consumers request Everdry cove sealed the patio with concrete and removed all the smaller chunks after cutting his sidewalk. The consumer requested that we leave the larger chunks because he would like to keep them.
