******Hudson Heating was out for a primary maintenance on our oil furnace. He needed to order a nozzle. He made it out on Friday, 12/23, the day the blizzard was to hit Ohio with -30 wind chill. We thanked him for coming and said how nice it was to have someone who knew the oil heating system. He said that if he is not familiar with the system, he finds it on “You Tube” (very comforting) Charged $680 for a nozzle, filter & less than 45 minutes of work. As soon as he left, we started having problems with the furnace. Immediately called ***** and he said he would be back by noon to fix the problem. I called ****, the owner’s wife to let her know that we were having issues and she said that she would have ***** come back out that afternoon. I stressed the concern of the cold weather coming in, & ***** never showed. 12/24, we woke around 3:30 a.m. temperature in the house was down to 50. We called the emergency# for Hudson Heating (around 4:00 a.m.) which goes directly to the owner, *** ******. he did not answer, nor did *** ever call back. Left a message for ****, ***’s wife, letting her know that ***** did not return Friday afternoon and that we did not have any heat. It is now -3 degrees outside. 12/25, still, no response from Hudson Heating after spending $680 on someone who made a furnace that was working perfectly to not working at all. (Reminder, this was just a primary maintenance visit that turned horribly wrong!!). 12/26 temp in house 48. After calling *** ******* **'s, we reached one & they had someone at the house by noon! He fixed our furnace. The incorrect parts were put on. Cost to fix the $680 screw–up, $150.70 and that is w/ the correct parts in the furnace! I would never recommend Hudson Heating, they are a complete rip off. They have absolutely no compassion for their customers who had no heat on one of the coldest weekends so far this winter! We have not heard from them since!

This complaint is not accurate. I did not receive any phone calls from you or your husband to my mobile number, which is the emergency number listed on our answering machine. I have verified this through my phone records and would be happy to provide you a copy as proof to this fact. I received several calls from numerous clients, many of which were not existing customers of Hudson Heating, on December 24th and 25th and responded to every one of them in kind. There were 12 people that I was able to help troubleshoot their issues over the phone and get their heat back up and running while they awaited a service call from one of our technicians. As testimony to my personal dedication to both our existing and new customers who called in those two days; I personally dropped heaters off to an elderly woman who had another company install her furnace and was told by them that they couldnt get a technician out until days later! This was on Christmas Day. According to our phone records, Banjo our Service Technician, and **** our Comfort Consultant both received calls from your mobile at 4:20 am. on December 24th. The voicemail you left on ***** mobile stated that it was 54 degrees in your home. As soon as she listened to your voicemail, she immediately called Banjo the service technician, who confirmed that he had already spoken with your husband and your furnace was back up and running. Your husband explained that he reset the furnace and it was now working. It is important to note that on this specific day, the city that you live in was experiencing a city wide power outage that occurred the previous day due to an ************* in a First ****** pole. First ****** was still working on restoring power on December 24th. As they were working the power was erratic, on and off for many hours. This is why you had heat, then didnt have heat sporadically. ***** is our most tenured technician. He has been with our company over 17 years. He has been to countless training classes that are required because our industry is ever changing. He has achieved NATE Certification in a multitude of areas, one of which is Oil Heating. By your statement that he simply watches ******* Videos to learn his trade is a shameful discredit to his hard work, education, and dedication to the **** Industry. I assure you that all of our technicians are highly trained, educated, and licensed as our industry standards mandate. The check you wrote for $680 was for 1 Year Preferred Maintenance on the following equipment: ********** Multizone Ductless Mini Split (that our company installed for you in 2021), Humidifier, Air Cleaner, *************************** Hot Water Heater. On 10/17/22 we completed the maintenance on ********** Mini Split, Air Cleaner, and Humidifier. We returned on 12/23/22 and did the maintenance on the oil hot water heater and the oil furnace. This is when we collected payment of $680 for the annual maintenance agreement. In the Spring 2023 you would have been prepaid for the maintenance on the ********** Mini Split, and the Heat Pump. You did write a check for the above amount and then cancelled said check. Hudson Heating received zero dollars for services rendered on the Annual Preferred Maintenance Agreement.I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and your husband to further resolve this issue. I can be reached at the office, my mobile, or email.Regards, *************************
