  My experience with ******* ****** was awful. I thought I had gotten a great inspection, and all the concerns that I brought up with him he wrote off as the house being old. As a first time home buyer I was trusting his answers, and that he’d inspected everything. After the inspection all the concerns I had were proven rightful, and other issues arose as well. My main concern was with the sagging of the floor in the downstairs bedroom. He said it was the age of the house (85 years old), and that’s what old houses do. It turned out all of the joists from where the floor sagged in the bedroom all the way through the bathroom right next to the bedroom were rotted. There was extensive damage, and how the shower didn’t go through the floor is amazing. The house has a crawl space, and all he did was stick his head down there and said he had no concerns. He never used a camera to see under the house. After the signing on the house more issues were found that were in the open and should not have been missed. The biggest most dangerous one being the corroded propane line sticking up out of concrete in the backyard. In the attic 2 lights were found just hanging by their wires, and a section of rafter was missing. It looks as though a chimney was there at one time, but when it was removed no one supported the rafter. The issues in the attic only required someone to open the door, turn on the light, and look in to see them. I contacted Richard Oakley twice, asking him to make the situation right by refunding the money to me that I paid him to inspect the house. I provided photos as well. He ignored me both times. Honestly if I could I would give him zero stars.
