Good morning ******,
The cause of failure for engine damage on the claim was found to be a result of loss of oil which is excluded per the contract terms and conditions in section 10. The details were included in the response filed 4/2/2025.
The independent inspection was completed, and information reviewed 3/27/25. The findings from the inspection state “The vehicle was on lift when I arrived. The tech had removed oil pan and rod cap on rod 6# and 4#. Both bearings had spun and scored the crank journals very deeply. the oil pan has metal debris throughout. The engine has a huge oil leak from oil filter housing and oil cooler. The oil has been running down block and onto trans and then throughout undercarriage. the oil has been leaking for a very long time. The oil is stained into the undercarriage and has changed the color of the exhaust from being burned onto the metal.” Additionally, the report cites the cause of failure as “Cause of Failure: The vehicle has loss oil while operating causing engine to seize”.

NVP warranty is a scam company that just paid nothing to repair my car! This company should not be in business but for some reason you are not doing nothing to stop them? Do something to shut them down and protect us from fake warranty companies like them! This company must be stopped.NVP Warranty

Good morning *** *******
As discussed at length, across multiple calls with both parties on your contract, the intermediate shaft in question is not listed on the coverage section of the contract. Therefore, we are unable to apply coverage to that component. The CV joint has no mechanical breakdown per the repair facility so that item is not eligible for coverage per the contract terms.GaryGibson.

I paid $2,700 in full at the time of purchase for the extended warranty for my vehicle. I have used the extended warranty service for a prior vehicle with a different provider and never had any issue. I only go to national recognized mechanic shops. Every time that I have tried to use the warranty with this company they have made it difficult for the shops to communicate to get the work done, disgustingly rude to myself when I called in as the customer, and impossible to get work done under the coverage since they challenged the diagnostics from the shop and then could only have their own inspection done on weekends between 9-5pm, with no confirmation of when that inspection could occur over a potential 72 business hours. Then, the rental portion of the cover is only reimbursed IF and for whatever work they deem can be covered AFTER the inspection by their own mechanic. So I would have to leave my car in the shop for over a week, spend $700 over a weekend to rent a car, then have NO Guarantee that they would cover the needed work, which is ALL listed as covered, or reimburse the cost for a rental. Absolutely disappointed. A complete waste of money. DO NOT LET DEALERS CONVINCE YOU TO BUY COVER WITH THIS COMPANY.NVP Warranty

Good Morning *******
The repair facility reported a broad array of repairs needed on the vehicle. The vehicle was setup for inspection which is typically complete withing 24-72 business hours. During the inspection process we were notified by the inspection company the vehicle had been removed from the repair facility. When the vehicle is at a licensed repair facility and can remain there for inspection and claim adjudication please have that facility call our claims department to initiate a claim. Rental reimbusrement per the contract terms will be evaluated when coverage is authorized for an eligible mechanical breakdown of a covered part.

I took my vehicle to a repair pal shop on a Monday and once the shop was able to look at it on Tuesday they sent pictures to get the claim approved. Wednesday comes I call for an update. NVP has not received the pictures. Call the shop and they state they were sent. Wait another day, calling Thursday morning for the same routine. Mind you it’s now been 3 full days of not having a car for work. Same response so I head to the shop and they call and resend the stuff while there. I get ahold of NVP now they have the pictures after a hour previously stating they didn’t. So after playing middle man as NVP says they can’t call the shop and the shop acting like they can’t call NVP to get an update or to even know they didn’t get the pictures. Now today, Friday, I am told a used part is being provided to the shop and will be shipped out in 3-4 days. That’s now over a week of no car. I was told I don’t approve for a rental car as the labor is less than 8 hours…… my car has been already sitting for days. The policy is ridiculous and the concerns cut to save nickels and dimes is terrible service. A used part, a lack of compensation for no vehicle and the warranty was $3500 but the used part is $400 instead of investing into a new one. The experience was terrible (well still is ongoing). I would like my deductible reimbursed for this terrible service. I wish I could be done with this place but I will be sure to never sign another warranty with this company.NVP Warranty

Good morning Mr. *****
I've reviewed the claim on file. The claim was initiated midafternoon on 3/4/25. At that point photos were requested. Photos were received and reviewed 3/7/25. This information was provided on your call that morning. We reached out to the repair facility promptly after that and authorization was provided. We received an email after 6pm 3/7/25 stating to order the transfer case to be shipped. At that time of day our suppliers are closed for business, so the order was processed upon their return to office 3/10/25.

Therefore my car has now sat 7 whole days between the negligence of the shop not following up for two whole days and me needing to step in. The pictures were received March 6th as I sat at the shop on the phone and was told they were allegedly now received. Between the shop not following up and NVP being cheap and buying a used part, I now have to now await for it to be shipped and received THEN installed. I am being denied a rental reimbursement because it’s not 8 WORKING (BILLABLE) HOURS but it’s been various working days. Why wouldn’t I be able to be reimbursed for a rental from AT LEAST 3/6 or 3/7 if I am now waiting for you all to ship a part instead of letting the shop use their parts in house? I am being given the run around. I will be without my car going on two weeks once it’s hopefully fixed. This has been the most utterly stressful time ever. I missed days of work last week and I’m being asked to still pay $152 ($100 for deductible and no clue about the other random charge). I will like to be reimbursed for that amount when it’s been paid or simply paid in full by you all from the point of completion. I would like a call. I will go through each external entity until someone wants to act like they care.Review fromDeneshia J

Attempting not to pay out on your warranty items due to excessive use but it’s a used vehicle and that’s why I purchased the warranty. Purchased a truck and the warranty on December 31, 2024. Took the vehicle to a mechanic shop to ensure there were no issues I couldn’t detect. Mechanic shop states there were issue's with the vehicle and contacted the warranty company. It took a week for the shop to receive any information on this warranty and everything was denied due to excessive use and there was no way with a vehicle with that many miles could have that much wear and tear unless there was excessive use. The vehicle is used and that’s what the purpose of a warranty. We don’t know if the parts on this vehicle were new, faulty or used parts. There’s no evidence of excessive use other than the claims adjuster states it. He’s making an assumption on his experience but we don’t know what this vehicle has been through prior being purchased. Was also told you can’t speak with anyone higher than him, the claims adjuster. Then was hung up on. Also, stated the only thing he said was incorrect was the only way the vehicle could have that much wear and tear is if you were driving in a mountain. Not requesting anything but what I paid for through my warranty.NVP Warranty

Hello ****** At the time the claim was initiated the vehicle had traveled 113 miles in 3 days from purchase. Upon review the failures present with tie rods, wheel bearings and engine mounts are something that would not occur in such a short duration of time and mileage. Per the contract terms these failures were denied citing the exclusions section 10, item "B. Repair or replacement of any Covered Component when a Mechanical Breakdown is attributable to a condition that existed prior to the purchase of this Agreement." Our adjuster has requested photos of the radiator failure for consideration, and we are awaiting receipt of those images. If you have any additional questions or concerns beyond the conversations we have had to date, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service agents at *************Review fromJennifer J

I bought a used car with an nvp warranty. 1.5 months after purchase I learned I had $1000 of repairs on it. Tire pressure censors, an ignition coil and checkup fees. Nvp refused to cover any noting that their warranty only covered very limited parts. Scam.NVP Warranty
