Moved into ******* ********** Kent in July of 2019. We were not given a walkthrough with management when we received our keys and was told to just mark what we noticed. Within 24 hours of moving in, our breaker box tripped 3 times. I contacted the leasing office and was told maintenance would come down to take a look. The maintenance guy came down and couldn't seem to figure out the issue. Well, days later, and our breaker box STILL TRIPPING, I put in a work order, that was then marked complete, and a phone call from maintenance stating he couldn't seem to find out what the problem was, but that this was an ONGOING issue on the premises but corporate had no intentions on fixing this expensive issue. Well, here we are, August 2021, we now have a breaker that is AGAINST code in our breaker box to prevent the microwave from tripping. I am STILL dealing with CONSTANT breakers tripping and am told it's because I have small appliances such as my coffee pot plugged in. No more characters leftBusiness response

We are sorry you are having electrical issues in your apartment home. We strive for our residents to have the best experience possible. When we had electricians and our service tech come to your home, they replaced breakers, replaced the microwave, but also found that the circuits were overloaded based on the square footage of your apartment home. We identified a number of power strips at max capacity and additional seasonal appliances being used. The recommendation by the electrician was to decrease the load being used by power strips and other sources, with the warning of the possibility that a small appliance could trip the breaker. We strongly recommend to keep items unplugged until they are needed.

We've attached the work order and the email notification regarding the microwave replacement in June 2020. The service tech confirmed that the other lessee, ******** ******** was present for this service call. Our neighborhood team is happy to schedule a full walkthrough with the residents present, and is also willing to review any documentation by the personal electrician's assessment. This would be beneficial for all parties as this apartment home is the only one within a pod of 10 that is having electrical issues.Customer response
