Upon arrival it was found that the condensing unit refrigerant level was low. The customer was offered a leak test which was declined and the customer requested that Climate charge the condensing unit only. The customer was advised multiple times that Climate would not recommend just charging the condensing unit and that there would be no warranty. The customer was adamant that the condensing unit just be charged so Climate completed the customers request to charge the condensing unit only. Attached is the invoice which is signed by the customer which reflects a discount provided, and shows that there would be no warranty.

As noted on the invoice 7lbs of refrigerant was used to charge the condensing unit, the duration of your appointment was a little more than two hours. Please see the time stamp for your appointment attached.

My warranty company contacted this business to repair a problem with my AC. I had asked for a good "reputable" company to come into my home since I am elderly and live alone. He started by saying he was not sure how to fix it. He never explained anything nor did he leave any paperwork or an instruction booklet on how to work the AC when he was ready to leave. There was a big hole in the ceiling of my utility area where he worked and left it open with wires hanging down. I was shocked. It created unsafe conditions and an unsightly mess and needed repaired properly. I asked him to finish it and he "fixed it" with 'foam-looking stuff' hanging down all over. I am afraid with such an unprofessional repair there might be a problem with passing any safety inspection or being able to sell my place later looking like that. I asked him for a book for my a/c unit to know how to care for it properly and operate the unit. He said he would send operation instructions out in the mail right away, all information about the work he did, and a detailed explanation for what I was having to pay for that was not being covered by my warranty. That was weeks ago, I have received nothing. I was unhappy with his work, anxious while he was in my home; he was being rude and intimidating to me. I still do not have any idea how to make the AC work now. They do not take my calls and they don't return any messages. I learned after the fact that this company does not background check their workers (arrests for workers stealing while in a client's home) and I had specifically asked the warranty company to send safe people into my home. I do not feel he was knowledgeable, capable, professional or courteous, and unreliable (did not do what he said he would do - sending my paperwork). I want the business to provide a professional job done, an itemized list of work/parts billed, and unit care/instructions documentation.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry she feels this way. Our records reflect the following:
**** contacted her home warranty company, ******** *********** ********, to repair / replace her 2004 American Standard air conditioner manufactured by Trane. Her claim was denied as she would not allow them to do a leak test. After they denied her claim, **** contacted us directly to install a new AC unit. We went out on June 16th. We removed the old unit and installed a new two ton unit outside. That day, we left our invoice and the installer guide from the manufacturer on her counter. She also signed the carbon copy invoice agreeing: we had completed the job, she received her paperwork and was happy with the work. We can provide this if you need it.
She called us on 7.1.22 at 10:44 am to say there was a white mark on the black lineset.
On 7.11.22 at 10:11 am, we emailed her the invoice and the pamphlet and the break down for both visits to her nephew's email address per her request as she does not have email.
I am the owner, and I went out on 7.18.22. In a little closet, 4.5 foot by 4.5 foot, I observed the white line on the black pipe. I explained that our crew did not create this, the line was from the drywall when the lineset was originally pushed through the wall during the original install. We did not install the lineset, We only flushed the lineset.
Then she pointed out a hole to us, and said she didn't know when the hole was created. The diameter was about 5" and the lineset takes up about 2 1/2"'. I agreed as a gesture of customer courtesy, to spray foam around the lineset. Her daughter/ daughter-in-law was there, and heard what we shared with her.
On 7.21.22, our tech, Dan, sprayed foam insulation around the lineset. She indicated she was happy with the work.
On 8.2.22, her nephew called to say we had left a mess. As our techs take pictures before and after every job, so we knew we hadn't. So we asked him to forward pictures to us so we could see what he was talking about. He has not sent the pictures.
If anything else is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would be happy to answer any additional questions, or provide any material needed.
Regards,
