I purchased a vehicle on 5/4/2022 for a total of 5,245.00 from Distinct Auto Group around 4pm. The dealer stated that the only thing that was wrong with the vehicle was the right front tire rod that was replaced and the two front tires needed to be replaced as well. After purchasing the vehicle the engine light turned on at 8pm and the Advanced auto parts said that there are problems with the car. Then I tried to get the dealer to buy the car back but they denied to. I then went to NTB and they gave me an estimate of about 2,600 to fix everything wrong with the car. After receiving this estimate the dealer denied to buy the car back from me again. The dealer claims they did not know there was anything wrong with the car at all.

Hello *****, we truly appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback on your recent vehicle purchase. Distinct Auto Group takes pride in sourcing the best used vehicles possible by searching in-state and out-of-state. Our primary goal is to get our customers into vehicles that are reliable, safe and mechanically sound. We are happy that we were able to earn your business and find you a competitively priced vehicle within your budget. We are upset that you felt you needed to leave a complaint regarding your purchase of the 2008 Pontiac G6 for $4995.00 plus tax and fees on 05/04/2022. I have reviewed your complaint and I would appreciate it if you would include some missing crucial information that was discussed from the day of the sale until this complaint was submitted. Distinct Auto Group has a high reputation and we have sold vehicles to hundreds of happy customers that have never came back to us with an issue. Our previous clients frequently return with family and friends to help them purchase cars through our referral program. We have never received a bad review and we are used to only receiving positive feedback so I will ensure to handle the complaint to the best of my ability. First, the vehicle you purchased was inspected, repaired and professionally detailed before sale. The vehicle needed a left tire rod and front tires. The tire rod was replaced and the front tires were ordered, although you were in a rush and did not allow us adequate time to wait for the tires to come in from our vendor and to be installed, so you agreed to purchase the vehicle without the new tires and you advised us that you would replace the tires yourself. Understood and we agreed and proceeded with cancelling the order. Second, you test-drove the vehicle several times different days and you told us how much you liked the vehicle and that you felt it was a great deal priced at $4995.00 since the KBB valued the vehicle at $5800 retail before tax. Third, during the sale, we suggested the warranty and you politely declined and agreed to purchase the vehicle as-is with no warranty. We always recommend purchasing a warranty on any used car for peace of mind. Fourth, the check engine light did come on the next day due to an oxygen sensor, which I have proof of the code that I scanned. I agreed to purchase the oxygen sensor for you if you would pay for the labor to have it installed. You agreed and thanked me and told me how you were happy with the car and how it ran great and that you were glad it was something as simple as a sensor. Fast forward 3 weeks, you call us back to advise us that all four wheel bearings need replaced and that all of the tire rods need replaced, including the brand new tire rod that we replaced ourselves. I can assure you that all of the suspension was checked prior to sale and no issues were found aside from the left tire rod which was replaced with a new tire rod. We are unsure what happened or how the vehicle was driven between the time you purchased the vehicle until the time you came back to complain regarding the all of a sudden issues at hand. We can guarantee you that all four wheel bearings and all of the tire rods were in great condition and working order at the time of sale. Fifth, I agreed to repair the vehicle for you at my expense which no dealer would ever agree to do on an as-is deal. I was persistent on assisting you with the claimed issues even though the vehicle was purchased as-is and even though the mentioned issues were potentially and 99.9% most likely caused by the driver after sale day. You declined my offer to repair the vehicle and unprofessionally told me that there was nothing to discuss if I were to not buy the vehicle back from you. I do not buy vehicles back that have no major issues. If your engine were to blow up the next day or the transmission were to fail, then I would seriously consider buying back the vehicle to resolve the issue. In this case, there are no major issues with the vehicle. The shop(s) that you had the vehicle diagnosed are quoting repairs needed that occurred after the sale. This is highly unethical on your part and completely unfair to the dealer. Lastly, there is nothing that we can do for you in this case. We offered to help, you declined and resorted to leaving a complaint seeking a refund. No refund will be issued. Thank you for choosing Distinct Auto Group where all of our clients get to experience the shopping difference!
