      My Anchor Hocking glass baking dish literally exploded in the oven. This was a glass rectangular 9x13 dish taken from the cupboard (room temperature) and placed with food taken from the refrigerator into an oven preheated to 350 degrees. After approximately 10 minutes, I heard a loud explosion and discovered that the dish with the contents had shattered in my oven. This could have caused serious injury if it had happened when the oven door was opened. People need to be informed that this happens even when the glassware is used according to their guidelines. Incredibly dangerous.

      Thank you for taking the time to contact the Anchor Hocking Company. Anchor Hocking strives to understand and resolve all product issues. We have been in contact with Lorna Burns regarding the problem she recently experienced with her baking dish. We explained the method of failure for tempered bakeware products. If a failure occurs with tempered glass it will break into many smaller rounded pieces, some larger, which are less likely to cause serious injury. This method of failure is by design and is in fact a safety feature rather than evidence of a safety hazard. A warning on our care/use and bakeware packaging describes this mode of failure. Anchor Hocking’s glass bakeware products are manufactured in full compliance with industry standards set by Cookware Bakeware Alliance. For additional information regarding tempered bakeware we referred Ms. Burns to visit https://www.anchorhocking.com/bakeware-facts Ms. Burns has the damaged glass, and because we would like to determine the cause of the incident, she experienced we are sending a prepaid shipping label to have the glass returned for product analysis. Additionally, we would like Ms. Burns to continue to use Anchor Hocking products, therefore, we have issued a replacement baking dish and complimentary beverageware set with our compliments. Finally, Anchor Hocking is deeply committed to manufacturing safe bakeware products. Based on our extensive research and testing tempered soda-lime-silicate glass bakeware has an excellent safety and customer satisfaction record.       Purchased a glass mixing bowl. I mixed up a red velvet cake using an icing spatula. Went back a few minutes later and was washing the spatula when I heard a funny noise and the bottom of the bowl exploded. It continued to explode after the initial break. I tried to contact the company to no success. I've used it twice but never in microwave or oven so no **************. This is very dangerous and I'm fortunate not to have been hurt. I want the company to know this is happening.

      Absolutely lousy customer service! I was gifted an 82 piece of flatware (zinc pattern), service for 16 as an xmas gift. This past weekend, we opened the set, to replace our existing flatware. Instead of 16 dinner forks & 16 salad forks, we received 24 salad forks & 8 dinner forks.I called customer service. All I wanted to know is how to get the 8 salad forks replaced. I have photos, product info, willing to send the wrong 8 back, etc.So I am told that this pattern is not in their inventory. Huh? I have a huge Oneida box stating otherwise. Lifetime limited warranty too. Told that I have to go and find out where this was purchsed, return it to them and they will make it whole. This was a brand new GIFT, YOU are the manufacturer, and YOU should be able to replace, or exchange. I was mortified, because I expected so much better from a "quality" company. 117 years in business? Not in customer service, never again. F

      How can a business have an A+ rating when it's composite rating is ****? This company has absolutely zero ***************** They only want to take your money and that's all. Have a problem, like a defective lid damaged by improper packing? Too bad. I've contacted them multiple time by phone and email - no response, not one! STAY AWAY!

      They deserve 0 stars.5 months ago I purchased a 45 piece set of flatware from Oneida. I have left 4 messages and an email with no response from them. Every piece of silverware has flaws coming out everyday. Tiny white dots, scratch marks, silver fading. The silverware is now made in *******. It is apparent that they are not made of stainless steel. Even with a lifetime warranty I cant get a response from the company that I once thought was top of the line.

Unfortunately, we do not show any recent communication from you, though we are disappointed to learn of your experience with your Oneida flatware. Be assured that your flatware is indeed stainless steel and when used according to instructions we expect you to have a positive experience with the product. Your flatware does include a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects though this does not include failure to properly care for and use the product according to instructions.       I am very confused an concerned. I have been calling the numbers provided for a while now and every time I end up at a voicemail. I have tried both numbers provided and almost all the extensions, and not a single one answered. I email about a week ago and it go t bounced back as undeliverable. I ordered 4 coffee mugs and the email said they would send an email with a tracking number when they shipped. That was Oct 11th. It is now October 28th and I have not received an email saying my order has shopped. I have not been able to reach a single person at this company. They have already charged me so now I would just really like a refund. My order number was two-zero-zero-zero-zero- three-zero-four-two-two. Please refund my order and I will consider the issue resolved. Thank you.

      I would love to give Anchor Hocking no stars. I purchase two glass measuring cups from them. The first time I used one of them, I put one cup of water in it and heated it for 45 seconds (it was labeled microwave safe). I then put chicken ********* in it and gently stirred it. Suddenly, with a loud bang, the glass cup exploded - covering me with small shards of glass. I actually had to pick glass out of my arm, but fortunately I was not seriously injured. The glass covered my entire kitchen, even going into the food I was preparing for dinner, which I had to throw out. The next morning I emailed Anchor Hocking, explaining what happened and asking how they planned to resolve this matter. I received an automated response that I would be contacted within 48 hours. One week later, I still had not been contacted by them. So I called their customer service number, which went to a voicemail. I left a message asking them to call me back. Absolutely no response. Finally, I contacted Oneida by email, as they are the parent company. I again received an automated response that they would call me within 48 hours. Tomorrow will be one week and again, no response. I grew up with Anchor Hocking glassware but be assured they are not the same quality they used to be. I am disgusted by their lack of concern for their customers. I immediately threw away the second cup I had purchased from them. I simply do not trust their products. Im sure they are well aware that theres nothing I can do to be reimbursed for the cups or my food that had to be thrown out if they dont contact me - so they are waiting me out. But I will make sure to warn anyone I can of the dangers of their products and their lack of customer service.

In order to determine the cause of your experience, we would need to have you return the damaged glass to our office for analysis as it is possible that something beyond our control such as a small crack, chip, or bruise to the glass which may have occurred during handling or storage might not lead to immediate breakage but can lead to failure during normal use at a later time. Unfortunately, we did not have that opportunity as you stated in a separate communication to our Consumer Relations team that the damaged glass was not available. While we are disappointed that we could not determine the cause of your experience, we do appreciate the opportunity to provide you with a resolution to meet your needs which you accepted.       I will not order from the oneida site again. They claim to ship your order but then tracking perpetually says check back tomorrow for delivery date (for WEEKS). They charge you right away and then customer service is non-responsive so youre left without any information, product, or your money.
