  I called to set an appointment to provide an estimate for services on my deck. The lady over the phone told me that I didnt have to be home and the guy doing the estimate would just come into my back yard to measure. I told her that wasnt an option because both gates are locked and rather than just showing up, to call me on Monday to set up a time or by email. I told her the back gates are locked for a reason and I didnt want him in the back yard without me. I never heard from them until Wednesday. The guy called around 12 and said he was on his way out and would be there in 25 minutes. I wasnt available at this time and had no idea that he had called or come by the house until about 1 pm when I was able to check my phone and my camera recordings on my property. Someone had jumped the fence and walked into the backyard. **** had been splintered on top of the gate. The wood was chipped with splintered wood on the inside of the fence. I called the guy and he said he took 25 pictures of my deck. I asked how that was possible because the gate was locked and you cant see the deck from the gate. He changed his story and said, he took pictures of my privacy fence. He swore he didnt jump the fence and continued to say that he was told it was the privacy fence to be worked on and not the deck. I told him that because his company couldnt relay the correct information to him that I wanted nothing to do with their services. He told me to call the office to explain to them why I wasnt using their services. So I did. I talked to *** the owner and I tried to explain to the owner the whole thing. The owner called me an idiot and an a****** and continued to yell at me. He never listened to what I had to say and I couldnt get a word in during his rant. He offered no apologies, did not attempt to resolve the issue, and was yelling at me the whole time. Then the owner hung up on me giving me no chance to say anything otherwise. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

  I hired On Deck Service to stain my deck on November 23, 2021 . I chose the color from the catalogue sent by On Deck and was later told it was no longer available and that an up to date catalogue would be sent. In April the deck was power washed and was told I would be called when the date for the stain was closer. On April 29th I heard noise out on the deck and although there had been no contact or catalogue I found the On Deck people staining my deck the same color it was originally. When asked why I was informed that they assumed I wanted it the same color. I attempted to call the original salesman regarding the issue several times but was told he was out of town and could not return my calls. I continued to call and email back and forth with On Deck to explain how I never signed a contract stating to stain the deck the same color and felt I was not, in any way, responsible for the error and expected On Deck to re-stain the deck. Eventually a new catalogue was sent and on May 26th, 2022 I said I would trust On Deck and pay the original invoice if they would stain the deck a color I had actually chosen. I admit that I should have had this in writing because on July 25, 2022 I received another invoice for $400 for the corrected stain.
