I have leased a second story apt. from Senior Loft Apts since August 2021 and renewed my lease for 2022 through August 2023. During my residency, I having been a prior Law Enforcement Officer have visually witnessed daily drug dealing and the drinking of open flask alcoholic beverages by a specific group of tenants. The mgt. has been made aware of it by me and other tenants. Nothing has been done to evict or stop this criminal behavior. From the time this new manager entered into the scene in and around July 2022, she has now filed against me (3) Notice of Lease Violations into my spotless tenant file. She claims that a tenant is making the complaints. I found out that it was the tenant who lives under me in #***. He is one of the tenants who sits and drinks daily on the premises in public along with others and they despise me as a prior Law Enforcement officer. They are doing everything to get me evicted. I told ***** it is not me making any noise. I live alone, have no visitors ever and sit typing research documents daily from 11am-9pm. Typing makes no noise. I am now being accused of playing loud music, when I don't even listen to music-ever. I told mgt months ago that the man above me living in #*** makes loud noises from 5am to the early evening. Nothing has been done to stop him. It is obvious this mgt. wants me out of the complex due to me witnessing the 'allowed' criminal activity that continues without their taking the appropriate action to stop it. It is the Landlord's legal responsibility according to the ORC to provide a 'safe' residency, and especially for senior. I am a senior and disabled. I need your assistance to stop this continual harassment and her entering these false accusations into my tenant file. They recently raised the rent and it maybe they want me out because Metro pays some of my rent. Something is going on certainly. I am an excellent tenant who stays to myself and is kind to everyone-regardless.

Our mission is to provide high quality affordable housing, abiding by all fair housing laws. We work hard to uniformly enforce the lease and house rules to ensure to the best of our ability everyone’s right to peaceful enjoyment of their home. Whenever a concern is reported, we gather information and take the appropriate action. We take all complaints seriously, and understand people often perceive things differently. Everyone is treated the same, and in a highly professional manner.

Unfortunately, within the last 12 months numerous leaseholders have been terminated for various reasons, including those not following the community rules. We do not condone or ignore improper behavior and will continue enforcing the lease in a consistent manner. We encourage our residents to utilize available resources such as local law enforcement for factors not within our control.

    Thanks,

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The same group that loiters at the trash dumpster daily continue to do things against the lease requirements. I simply want to be left alone and will be moving as of next July 2023. There have been 'good' tenants such as myself who have chosen to move out due to the tolerance of these illegal activities at the dumpster area. Signs against loitering and smoking are put on the dumpster walls, yet they are not enforced. It is the responsibility according to the ORC to provide a safe place for seniors or any tenant to reside in. It is not safe here. Again, I will be relocating as of July ending 2023 and will give the office my notice to vacate 60 days prior to my move out.

    Sincerely,
