I had purchased the car in July 17th 2023 in February 2024 the oil filter blew out which caused the engine to lose all its oil the oil filter has never been changed we haven't even had the car a year yet the car company refused to do anything about it the extra warranty that we paid for was not valid due to being 10 mi over the mileage they set on it and upon looking at my paperwork I also discovered that I have two different mileages on my paperwork shortly after purchasing the car I started receiving letters in the mail and somebody else's name trying to use my social security number with their name to get loans for vehicles the vehicle that I have purchased is a 2010 ***** Cobalt VIN number ***************** I am paying extra for an extended warranty and cannot use it because I'm over the mileage shouldn't have to pay for a warranty that I cannot use I believe this company is doing some shady deals because it started out that my mom *********************** was supposed to be the buyer and I was supposed to be a cosigner I wasn't informed until after all the documents were signed and this is where I should have paid attention that my mom turned into the co buyer and I turned into the buyer the lady who was selling us the car vertically explained things and I signed to my signature in the little box electronically without seeing the documents until they were all done I did not notice the difference in mileage on the paperwork until after the car broke down and was trying to get the warranty taken care ofBusiness Response

Oil Filter blowout that causes loss of engine oil and failure is not covered as listed in covered parts. Oil filter is an external component not an internally lubricated part failure or blow out. Customer states warranty amount was over by 10 miles due to a 2nd buyers order being printed by accident on our part due to do the fact we use two different computer systems to do all paperwork and a second buyers order should not have been printed. There is a bill of sale that was electronically signed that matches the installment contract. The customer contacted the ******************** after 6 months of stated failure. The minimum amount of miles and time is ******* miles or 12 months on the ****************** contract. The customer states that the oil was not changed by anyone including them. That would mean the customer had to drive the car over ****** miles without changing the oil before the oil filter failure. Regardless of miles, an oil filter blow out is not a covered repair regardless of miles. We are not willing to accept any responsibility for repairs especially consider this car was sold 14 months ago.Customer Answer

Chevy ********** filters are not located in the normal places where most usually they're located they're at the top of the motor and they get overlooked just because a place says the oil filter has been changed does not mean that it has been changed and I feel that CARFAX is a joke because anybody can lie and say something has been done I believe the oil has been changed frequently but not the oil filter

customer had the car over 6 months and stated the oil filter blew out when the extended service contract was 10 miles over the limit. Customer waited over a year to file the complaint. ****** filter blow out that causes engine failure is not a covered repair regardless of miles. The minimum coverage for the service contract she purchased was ****** miles. If the service contract was over by 10 miles when the engine failed, the customer had to drive the car 12k miles without changing the oil.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the change oil light had just came on two days prior before it blew out and on upon taking the oil filter out it was black and thick of gunk and again why would an oil filter blow out after only having the vehicle for 6 months and if it had proper oil changes on it it would have never happened so you're going to try to tell me that every single vehicle out there on the market oil filter is going to blow out after 6 months of not changing the oil

Had my daughter bring some to me and by the time I drove 2 miles I didn't have steering again. Bought the car July 1st July 2nd replaced the power steering pump. July 4 the car is sitting so within the first 3 hours of buying this car straight out I'm still without a running moving vehicle. Car was purchased "as is" as stated on the bill of sale. and initialed on the back of the bill of sale that the customer takes all responsibility for repairs. Customer signed "as is without warranty" document also. We owe shows nothing promised or owed. Arbitration agreement was signed. Buyers guide is initialed by the as is box on the front and signed on the back also. Customer never called to ask for any assistance in anyway. We would have been open to helping with the repair had they contacted us. We are not going to refund the money for a bad power steering pump.Customer Answer

Car was bought as is you are correct but this is what you failed to inform us of the fact that not only was it the power steering pump but also the steering rack in the vehicle. The car has been in the shop since I filed a complaint. I will send proof of my complaint once the shop finishes the facts of the vehicle. I bought the car on the first where's the title?Initial Complaint

I traded in a truck I bought from them and had purchased GAP insurance for the vehicle when I bought it. I’ve been trying to get my insurance reimbursement for about 8 months now. I talk with the owner **** and he keeps saying it’ll get resolved soon but here we are and still don’t have it. I’m not sure how much money it is because he hasn’t told me, but I don’t think it’s a lot. It’s the principle.Business Response

10--15-22 I bought a used Toyota 2012 Trundra truck. In Jan 2023 a garage told me the transmission was going out of it. I called RT 33 Motors, LLC they said it was sold "as is". I cannot afford a new transmission the one that is for this trunk is $8,850 new. That was only 2-3 mons. after I bought the truck. They knew that when they sold it to me. I feel they are fixing vehicles good enough to get off the lot but end up having big problems. I have talked to approx 5 others who have bought from them also & they say the same thing. I paid $15,000 cash for that truck & want help on replacing this transmission. I want a refund of $15,000 for the truck & they can take it back . I would settle for my choice of Toyota Dealerships to supply a brand new transmission for a Trunda truck & install it. With Rt 33 Motors, LLC paying for the transmission & labor.Business Response

Customer purchased truck on 10/15/2022.. All paperwork including bill of sale, As-Is sold without warranty disclaimer and As/Is buyers guide initialed on the front and signed on the back. All employees are directed to give any customer my personal phone number for complaints. Our phone also shows no indication of a phone call from ###-###-#### the consumers phone number. After approximately 3 months after purchase on an as/is vehicle....we respectfully decline for any assistance due to the time frame and not knowing how many miles were put on the truck or what it was used for. ******* ******/owner Rt 33 Motors LLC ###-###-####Initial Complaint

I believe this company to be untruthful about their products and they scam hard working customers. I purchased a 2011 Vw tiguan and was told that their mechanic looks at all the vehicles on their lot and they are required to pass an inspection before they are available for sale. This made me feel a little more comfortable as they had me sign the "as is" warranty or lack of. The test drive was smooth and no issues presented at this time. Purchase was fast and polite, we paid in full, cash purchase. As we drove off the lot and headed home, everything seemed good at first. About 30 minutes into the drive, the oil light began flashing and telling us to stop driving immediately and service. We spoke with employee from rt 33 Motors and we were informed that the problem was due to a sensor and not to worry. We purchased a new sensor, replaced it and were instructed to reset the light, which we did. Everything was great for a little while after that. I later learned that when you reset the warning lights, like we were instructed to do, they will not alert anymore for a certain period of time, even if there is an issue. Close to a month after purchase, the car began shutting down on the freeway. We had it towed to mechanic shop and found over 130 codes when hooked up to diagnostic. This is when we learned that the engine was blown and were estimated 8-10 thousand dollars to replace. I just don't want others to experience the same misery as what we went through. This may be unrelated but to make things worse, our other vehicle was stolen and totaled the very same day the engine blew in the VW. We need honest companies because our luck is already horrible without having to take chances on whether people are being honest or not.Business Response

Customer bought the car on 08/08/2022. We received an email through our website on 11/28/2022 that the car had an engine problem and he sold the car for $1,000 dollars. Carfax also shows that the title was transferred to a new owner on 10/27/2022. Car was sold 100% as is. We will provide you with a copy of the bill of sale which has a warranty disclaimer, a form titled as-is without warranty which the customer signed, and the federal buyers guide which is initialed on the front next to the checked box "As-Is No Dealer Warranty" and signed on the back of the federal buyers guide. We will not offer any type of compensation to the customer that never called us and sold the car and no longer has possession of the car and purchased it over 3 months agoInitial Complaint

Bought a 2009 Dodge Ram 9 months ago and was unaware that the title was a branded title or “salvaged” . I did sign knowing of a mileage difference but was not told about the title . When confronting the owner the owner proceeded to tell me it was “not his issue” and hung up on me .Business Response
Date: 07/11/2022
The customer was made fully aware of the mileage discrepancy in this case which was a discrepancy of 1 mile due to a previous repossession. The truck is NOT a salvage or rebuilt salvage as you can see on the title. The customer signed the bill of sale and the box that says NOT ACCURATE is checked. the Car Fax which clearly shows "branded title: not actual miles" The application for dealer assignment has the box checked that shows not actual mileage WARNING- ODOMETER DESCREPANCY. The customer stated that her wages were going to be garnered... so we are assuming the truck got repossessed. We are not willing to do any type of assistance as the customer was fully aware of the mileage discrepancy.
