    I stayed at Camp Cedar for 5 nights, August 11-16th, 2024, when I checked in I paid my deposit of $71.43 and assumed everything was done properly. Then on Friday 8/16/24 at check out I was told I was not properly checked in and they had no record of me being there. The honest person I am I explained that I did stay at their facility and was in fact checking out. The person helping me had to get the manager involved to charge me the remainder of my stay which I paid at that time in the amount of $577.50. I asked for a receipt and they said they could not give me one at that time. I thought all was taken care of. Then October 11, 2024 I see a charge for my visit again in the amount of $648.93, I called my bank and camp cedar both immediately to let them know I had been charged again for my visit in August. The person that I spoke to that day told me my money would be returned and that they had some issues with people who booked through booking getting duplicate charges. Over the next few days I called and Camp Cedar to confirm that my money would be refunded but no answer or call back, I left messages. I then sent an email with detailed information about my stay along with my bank records and the dates of my stay. The finally responded to the email saying that I was not charged the time of my visit. This information was incorrect since I was able to show proof that I paid at check in and remainder at check out. They have yet to respond or refund my money that was incorrectly taken out in October. I am not the first person this has happened to and almost seems as a scam.

    I wanted to update you and let you know the manager Truman with Camp Cedar called and said my money would be refunded by the end of the week. He apologized for the duplicate charge and said it would be taken care of.

    I booked a campsite in February 2023 for March 30-April 1, 2023. I had to cancel it for health reasons. I was told I could rebook it but they do not give refunds. I tried to rebook it for the following 2024 season. I was told the campground would be under new management as of 2024 and that they don’t know the rates for the 2024 season and that they would instead issue me a refund to my credit card in 3-5 business days. I never received the refund. When I called them to inquire why I did not get my refund, I was told that I would not get a refund and could not rebook my site because it could only be rebooked for the 2023 season. They refused to let me talk to a manager. I have an email from “the front desk” (no name) to the contrary stating that they would allow me to rebook for the 2024 season. I want my $64 back. This company needs to be shut down!

    On behalf of Camp Cedar we apologize for the poor customer service you received.  That is not the way we do things around here and I can assure you under our new management, it will not happen again.  I'm happy to comp you one night in an RV slip anytime in 2024.
