May 17, 2019 BBB opened an investigation on Storm Damage Consultants after
receiving a complaint involving owner, Mike Hayden. It was found Mike Hayden
was also associated with the contracting/roofing companies; Massillon Roofing
and Cleveland Insurance Consultants. The BBB contacted Mr. Hayden by mail and
email to request clarification of association between all the businesses. The
BBB's investigation revealed the following:
XPROQUO, LLC doing business as Storm Damage Consultants is registered and active
with the Ohio Secretary of State since October 25, 2018. Transparent Commercial
Contractors, LLC doing business as Massillon Roofing is registered with the
Ohio Secretary of State since March 23, 2016. The website, massillonroofing.com
no longer works. Cleveland Insurance Consultants, LLC is registered with the
Ohio Secretary of State since February 16, 2016 and is currently active. The
company's website freeroofs.us is also the same website that is being used for
Storm Damage Consultants. Additionally, Cleveland BBB conducted an
investigation and Ad Review on Cleveland Insurance Consultants in June
2017.
In May and June 2019, BBB mailed complaints to the 112 Erie St. S. Massillon,
OH 44646 address. They were returned by the post office as "not
deliverable as addressed - Unable to forward". BBB drove to this
address. The building appeared vacant and had a "for rent" sign in
the window with a second sign listing "Cleveland Insurance
Consultants" and the phone number 216-224-1911.
BBB
sent email correspondence to Mr. Hayden requesting clarification of the
operating status and affiliation between Storm Damage Consultants, Massillon
Roofing, and Cleveland Insurance Consultants. Ohio Secretary of State
listing was still active but the website no longer worked and the Cleveland BBB
report indicated Mr. Hayden told them he was dissolving the partnership in
August 2017.
Mike Hayden has not responded to BBB. Consumers with outstanding concerns are encouraged to file a complaint or customer review for BBB records but may also wish to contact legal counsel.
