IDEXX is the single most exploitative corporation I have worked at in my entire career.Supervisors and team leads are dating one another or already related by marriage. That should tell you just about everything you need to know about the power dynamics allowed by this company: cronyism is in full effect.Laboratory employees are treated as worse than disposable treated as actual sub-human, indentured garbage. Subjected to extreme physical, verbal, and emotional abuse in hazardous working conditions with dangerously excessive workloads. Most employees are in some form of a cast or brace at any given time due to job-inflicted repetitive strain injuries. The skin on my thumbs was blistering and peeling off within a single month of work, due to the sheer amount of tube capping, uncapping, and snapping I was forced to perform as a serology tech. Had I remained with the company for any longer (than the 6 months I barely survived), I absolutely would have developed rapid-onset carpal tunnel and arthritis. And I held one of the BETTER tech positions.My department lead openly mocked before my fellow coworkers my prior work experience, my disabilities, and my requests for accommodations. When I finally filed for **** I was illegally terminated mere days later. When I pursued the appropriate channels to report this discrimination and abuse to corporate higher-**** I was met by a "cone of silence" befitting the fascist dynamics of the police or armed forces.Virtually every employee is a chain-smoker and an alcoholic, to cope with the excessive pace and brutal physical toll of the labor and to come down afterward, respectively. I have never known a more unhealthy and unstable group of employees in my life physically, mentally, and emotionally.I could not recommend a company less for anything, aside from an immediate EEOC and human rights watchdog investigation.
